Storico Fresco Alimentari e Ristorante
We had a dream to bring traditional and nearly lost Italian dishes to Atlanta. The result: Storico Fresco Alimentari, quite simply an Italian grocery store and restaurant in one. We’ve gone beyond and created a true Italian experience for you to enjoy. We use locally sourced ingredients to craft our authentic dishes.
I enjoy using Opentable to make my reservation at Storico Fresco. The challenge is the table has never been ready upon arrival. Be prepared to wait 10-15 minutes even if you make a reservation. This restaurant is full of energy and can be loud. Don’t go expecting a quiet dinner.
Drinks, (Gin and Jam), spinach salad, fritto misto, appt. and bolognese pasta was amazing!
Don’t forget the Tiramisu!!
Tables are cramped and the service was mediocre. Our server barely spoke to us or came by to see us. She was an order taker and that was it.
delicious food, great wine list and super friendly and responsive wait staff
Salmon was delicious.
Authentic Italian cuisine. The Mozzarella was a dream!!
Would love to see Vin Santo on the list again..
Love this place every single time! Hate that it has become so well known because I have always loved it being a little unknown spot, but with such great food and ambiance it's bound to be found!
We had a wonderful meal except my lasagna was extremely salty, nearly inedible. Everyone else at the table had delicious entrees and happily shared. Quality wine list and great service.
The food is always excellent the only draw back is the noise level. Very difficult to have a conversation. In spite of that it is one of my favorite restaurants in Buckhead.
Love this place for lunch, dinner and carry home!
I DON’T NORMALLY WRITE IN ALL CAPS, BUT WANT TO GIVE YOU A SENSE OF HOW UNBEARABLY LOUD IT IS IN THIS RESTAURANT. THE SPACE IS A LOW-CEILING BASEMENT, AND EVERY SURFACE IS CONCRETE. THE FOOD IS GOOD — not great —BUT THE NOISE IS OVERWHELMING. TO HAVE A CONVERSATION, YOU HAVE TO BE WILLING TO TALK ABOVE THE LEVEL OF THE NOISE, WHICH JUST HELPS RACHET UP THE NOISE LEVEL. BE PREPARED!
Don’t mind all the loudness...the food is sooooo worth it!
Can’t wait to go back.❤️❤️
Phenomenal food, great waitress, amazing drinks
Perfect Mother’s Day experience :)
The food was great and as an Italian, I found it very authentic. Loved the Artichokes and Squid. The pasta Arrabiatta was swimming in too much sauce but it was very tasty. Only negative thing I can say is that’s it too, too noisy. Worth a visit and I’ll definitely be back.
We had a lovely time Kelsey was very attentive. Thank you.
One of the best Caccio e Pepe I’ve ever had 🤩
We’ve been enjoying Storico Fresco since inception. We probably haven’t been since last fall and were very disappointed at the aura tonight. The music was too loud and they’ve shoved in extra tables which put us next to a refrigerated case and a cash register. Not exactly a soothing Italian dinner after a very long week. The food is still very good but I’m not dropping two bills to eat Italian food and unwind with my wife at the China Club circa 1989. The waiter did not even offer fresh shaved Parmesan. When requested he brought a ramekin of what looked like Kraft grated cheese. We’ve been for birthdays, anniversaries, holidays and for the hell of it but we won’t rush back. We even left before the wife had desert and she never does that. And he’s gonna charge me $ for bread? Tonight it was two of us and usually it’s 6...and you’re gonna charge me for bread? Forget about it. I’m sad.
I would recommend with a few reservations. The food is great but our waiter was quite short and dismissive with us. When I inquired about a pinot noir, he only recommended one wine which was $17 a glass. The prices have significantly increased since it opened and while the food is great, it's much better to pick up to cook at home rather than go to the restaurant.
IT WAS SUPER!! I would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone I know. The flavors were AMAZING!!’ Go, this place is a must.
Food was very good. Our server was wonderful but possibly stretched as the restaurant was full and it didn't seem like there were many servers so it took some time for our order to be taken after we were seated.
It is quite loud but we got used to it after a bit and conversation became easier.
I have dined at Storico Fresco often. The food, service, ambiance has always been great. However, this last time I was a bit disappointed. When our appetizers were brought out I asked the waiter (it was not our assign waiter) to bring us some bread. He quickly told us the there would be a $3 charge for the bread. He was very rude in his tone. I asked about the charge since I had been dining at Storico Fresco since it first opened, and he became argumentative about the question. He went to get a menu to show me what the menu said. I told him that I did not need to see the menu to believe him but that I had dined many times before and that there had not been any charge for the 1st bread service. In fact, I informed him that the Open Table menu states this as well. He continued his defensive and rude rant and walked away. My issue is not the $3 cost for the bread. After all, we had cocktails at the bar before dinner, and then had appetizers, entrees and a bottle of wine when seated, so $3 was not going to make a big difference in our bill. The bottom line, I understand that restaurants make changes and that is OK. But if a customer asks a question it should be answered in a courteous manner as they might not know that there has been a change. As a side note, these types of changes sometimes reflect signs of negative changes. Often, restaurants start out with certain standards and then after they have built a reputation or are well established, they start to lower some of those standards. The issue with the charge for the bread is a perfect example.
Awesome server! We enjoyed the appetizer of meats and cheeses. We ordered the squash blossom which was good. The wild boar pasta was excellent but the other pasta the server brought was s but too tough. All of our desserts were excellent we had the tiramisu the burnt ricotta and the chocolate which was amazing. Don’t share as other reviewers suggest as the pasta servings are small. I wouldn’t go back but I did enjoy dinner I have just had better in Atlanta. The server made the evening for us. He was awesome.
Service was very slow, and was never sure who our actual server was throughout the visit. Also, at one point during dinner, there was a man who seemed to be a manager or owner that was publicly disciplining/shaming one of the hostess in front of the entire dining room. It was very uncomfortable and began to make a scene to where several tables we noticing and watching the event.
The waiter was rude and unattentive i believe his name was william. Slappi g the food down on the table never coming back to check slow to arrive to the table just an overall jerk.
This was my second time coming here and it does not disappoint! The food is delicious and I love the house made fresh pasta. The squash blossom appetizer was amazing. Our server was on top of things, didn't have to wait too long for drinks and food. Only downside is that if you are looking for a quite dinner to have conversations, don't come here. We walked inside and it was extremely loud, so we asked to be seated outside, which as a little better but we were battling with Buckhead traffic and patron noise. But again, the food was so good that we will definitely be going back!
Great place ... just be ready for a very noisy space
We were a little late and had to wait for our table. Place is a little crowded. Took forever to get our check.
The food is amazing, as good as any Roman Trattoria. All prices are reasonable. Only detractor is the noise level. Really loud.
Great food, but the noise level is deafening. If it's busy don't expect to have a conversation.
Great stuffed fried squash flowers. Pasta was over cooked. Might need to request al dente if that is your preference.
Love Storico’s food and wish it wasn’t so loud ! Amazing pasta
Second visit and any time I am in Atlanta I will go. It is as close to being in Italy as is possible in this Country. Absolutely perfect.
Spinach ravioli excellent. Fried chicken moist. Will go back to try other dishes. Service could be better. Very noisy!
Best Italian restaurant I’ve been to in Atlanta! They had authentic Italian dishes that many other Italian restaurants do not offer
Incredible food. The pasta was unreal.
Great food. Unfortunately noise level does not allow for the enjoyment of company and food at the same time!
Perfect as always! Brought someone who had not been before but had heard me gush about Storico repeatedly, and it of course lived up to all the hype.
A very nice concept but could have improved execution. Waitress took for ever with the bill. The Chitarra Arrabbiata was over cooked but I suspect it sat on the pass for too long and not the Chef’s fault.
Delicious food!! Will be back!!!
