Storico Fresco Alimentari e Ristorante
We had a dream to bring traditional and nearly lost Italian dishes to Atlanta. The result: Storico Fresco Alimentari, quite simply an Italian grocery store and restaurant in one. We’ve gone beyond and created a true Italian experience for you to enjoy. We use locally sourced ingredients to craft our authentic dishes.

We were seated and several staff members circled by but we did not get addressed right away. The restaurant was so loud it was very difficult to hear and speak to anyone. The noise volume circle around like a gymnasium and with music on top. It was hard to catch our server's attention who swooped by a lot but felt we were not being tended to as well as could be especially with as many staff as were on hand. There appeared to be an owner flashing numbers via hand signals and walking the floor but also did not talk to anyone. I had registered that it was my birthday and no acknowledgement. It was lacking the extra level of service we expected.
Excellent food, as always
Storico is our go-to when taking guests. Never disappoints!
Amazing food, squash blossoms were the best!
Our first post-COVID dinner in a restaurant! Storico Fresco has done a wonderful job throughout the COVID period, and our in-restaurant dinner was no different. We particularly love the stuffed, fried squash blossoms! Our only complaint was the noise. We sat inside next to an open window, but it was still so loud that it was difficult to talk.
Food was delicious. Not your traditional Americanized Italian food. Pasta made from scratch, fresh ingredients. So, so good.
The wait staff was impeccable, ambiance lively but imtimate, food absolutely delicious! Love coming here when I’m town from FL.
First time eating out in over a year. Felt comfortable. Food and service as amazing as always!
Yesterday was my first visit to Storico Fresco. While I was familiar with their pasta products, I had not yet been to the restaurant. From the lovely Italian market with a large variety of imported goods, to the enjoyable outdoor seating, attentive service and OUTSTANDING food, it was a definite winner and I will return.
Everything was great. Food, drinks and service. A bit loud but to be expected when you dine out.
The food was good and service was meh. Be aware that if you reserve outdoor seating, you may be seated at tables located on the sidewalk and not on the patio. It is also hard to make the switch to get a table indoors. This place is packed.
Delightful. When our waiter was MIA, others happily stepped up to assist. 2nd time and I’ll go again!
The atmosphere is very eclectic and high energy. I can be pretty loud, but just quiet enough to have a good conversation over dinner.
The food was absolutely amazing! I can’t wait to go back and try some different things.
This would have been a perfect review if not for the exception of a few things. Our server was slow coming around, but it seemed that she had a lot of help. So, we weren’t just sitting there unattended, but it did take a while for us to order drinks and food.
Unlike most Italian restaurants, they don’t bring a basket of bread to the table unless you pay $3 for “bread service.” I found this a bit petty considering the prices of their food. It was even more frustrating when what was listed as a bread “service” only consisted of one small plate of toasted bread. We were never asked if we would like more.
One other thing. Although I put on the reservation that we were celebrating my wife’s birthday, it was never acknowledged at any point during the experience.
Don’t get me wrong, we had a great time and will definitely go back at some point. However, these are a few things that impacted the experience that could have easily been avoided.
I like the idea that most things are made from scratch! I would say the serving is small for a fairly high price. Most of the food are tasty, some are on the salty side. Overall, still is a restaurant I would go again.
The Cacio e Pepe was great (though a bit too salty)
For desert we tried the Burnt Ricotta Pie. Nope. Eggy at the edges. The honey and raspberry sauce don't mix well.
We also tried the Torta Nona. At best average.
We will still return for more Cacio e Pepe and maybe try other menu items especially pasta. Desert can be had elsewhere.....
The energy was fantastic the entire time. Perfect for so many different types of occasions. The staff was incredible! Felt like we had an entire team devoted to our table. Can’t wait to come back! Thanks for making our night Storico Fresco!
This was my second visit to Storico. The food and service both times have been excellent.
Wonderful food, service and ambiance! Particularly love the cacio e pepe, squash blossoms, lasagne and salmon. Love that they’ve opened up the side wall to the patio and ho the tables are rearranged/separated. See you soon!!
Always a great meal and great ambiance. He pasta is amazing. Fresh, not boxed.
This was the perfect place to dine out and break the COVID hibernation. The food was superb, service was great. What more can one ask? We will continue to eat here, and shop the Italian specialties in the "grocery" section of Storica.
Everything always fabulous and delicious. We had popette
Lasagna tiramisu & lovely Prosecco. Took home lemon custard cake w/pine nuts & delicious cheesecake.
Anything I’ve ever had here is outstanding.
Great to go area and desserts
Good food-little loud—and server was a little slow.
Food was amazing!!!
It was really noisy and the table and chairs are in need replacing . But the service was awesome and the food was good.
Food was excellent, but we sat next to a group who are so loud that we could not hear each other. I guess we had a bad choice for the seating unfortunately. But other than that service was good, and food was excellent, so I can not complain. I love this place.
They seemed short staffed or the server wasn’t attentive. Food was great as always.
Made a reservation on for Saturday night and still had to wait about 20 minutes for the table, but overall the meal was quite nice! Great pasta and I enjoyed my Pinot Noir. Sometimes service can be spotty here, but I think it’s because they are usually so busy. Would definitely come back when in the mood for great pasta!
SO good!! New favorite Italian in Atlanta! Cacio e Pepe was the best I’ve had!!!
Excellent as usual. we enjoyed the dinner there. xxx
Excellent service and food was perfect. Just a little noisy but worth it
Great restaurant/Mercado. The pasta is out of this world and made from scratch. I always grab a dessert (thee brunt ricotta pie) or a pasta to take home with me after a meal
Can’t say enough great things about Storico. The food is BEYOND. The atmosphere is chic, fun, upbeat. The service is the best ever. Romulo always gives us the 5 star treatment and the entire staff is so welcoming and top notch
The food and the cocktails and wine are fantastic! The ambience is great and lively.
We were seated right next to a dark ally that was basically not even part of the restaurant. There was no lighting, we couldn’t hear the restaurant’s music, our table was tiny, and I honestly felt unsafe due to all of the people passing by us on the street. Our food was extremely average and my boyfriend’s dish had little to no flavor at all. At the end of the night the waiter never returned to take our card, so we had to get up and go to the cashier to pay. Will not be returning. Waste of $90.
Fantastic Italian food. Best I have had in Atlanta. And the price is right. Great ambiance, busy but not too loud. Squid ink pasta with calamari and octopus was sensational. Branzino, perfectly prepared. Good wine selections and a full bar. I will definitely visit here again.
Service could be better, food is very good! Thanks!
The lovely manager helped us to navigate the online menu. She was very patient! Thank you!
The food was delicious.
The noise level was pretty high but the baffles between tables/social distancing measure were excellent, really cut down on the noise level for us.
Yes, we'd come back. Get there early, though, the parking can be a problem.
Awesome - staff, food and drinks were the best
Seating next to the road wasn’t the best especially since it’s going downhill. But the food was amazing & the drinks. The servers were a little busy because it was a Friday night. Overall would recommend .
