Usually like our local restaurant but not this time. Ordered the macadamia nut crusted mahi. The color looked odd, little flavor. My husband suggested it had been frozen. I am reluctant to try it again. My friend had flounder (I think) stuffed with crabmeat and it was good. A better choice apparently.
One of our favorites
Excellence service, food . All around great local restaurant We had a family birthday and everyone, no matter the age was pleased. We highly recommend
Although we had a 7:30 reservation, we had to wait 30 minutes for a table. The hostess didn’t apologize, but just continue to tell us that our table wasn’t ready. If the restaurant was exceptional, I would have overlooked the fact that we had to wait. But the food is mediocre.
Courteous and well trained staff delivered a truly enjoyable dining experience.
Great seafood and sides and great service. Always love the bread pudding dessert! But, this time I was just to full to eat dessert
Great as always! Had the tuna steak. It was perfectly prepared.
Was early for reservation. We were told we would be seated as soon as something came available. The hostess then seated two separate parties that walked in without reservations. When I asked about it, I was told that’s the policy. We waited 40 minutes to be seated at our table that was empty the entire time.
The food was fair at best. For dessert we had key lime pie. It was bland and tasteless. It did not appear to have any key limes in the pie other than in the name.
We have eaten here before, however after this experience I don’t think we will be back.
Thought food was good. A bit overpriced. Good service.
Entered into the dining area to what smelled like a wet kitchen rag. Food was good but not exceptional. I guess for the price, I wasn’t impressed and add the odor as we walked in. We won’t be in a hurry to try them again. SR
Our neighborhood go to special occasion restaurant! Always an incredible presentation, always a delicious meal , and exceptional service!
We were there recently for Mother’s Day they took our reservation almost exactly the time we reserved service was impeccable our waitress was wonderful the food was delicious nothing better could be said
Not the level of service I’m accustomed to from this restaurant. I had to also send back my steak... i
We had a great time for Mother’s Day my waiter Shay was the best. She was always smiling, interacting with my son, always checking in on us, she was just great. The food was good, management was good always walking by checking in on tables. Just a great experience overall.
This was my second time visiting the restaurant! The Tuscan chicken is delicious and the service is great. I really enjoyed their orange cake, however this time it appeared that the bottom layer of the slice was missing. It was still delicious just noticeably smaller than my last visit.
First timers at Stonewood. Service was a little slow. It was a Saturday night.
Appetizers were very good. Chicken wings and French Onion Soup.
I had Tuna Steak which was excellent. Ladies were disappointed with their Prime Rib. Meat was little tough. Will go back and try again.
EXCELLENT SERVICE. My food was good. Just disappointed that they had no coleslaw. A menu with fish and burgers. Needs coleslaw as a side to trade in it french fries. Sides were mostly carbs and the vegetables not enticing to go with fried shrimp. For example green beans and corn. Could not swap out fries for anything appealing. That said FRIED SHRIMP was excellent. Not sure how they do it, very crispy and NOT greasy at all.
Stonewood Grill was recommended by friends for dinner. Upon arrival we were graciously provided with a salmon appetizer to appease us from their delay in seating us. Service was terrible!! Our waitress apologized for providing three of the four beverage napkins, failed to provide our napkins and utensils despite numerous polite, but more firm requests. Although our food was prepared well, our guests medium rare steak was overcooked, they were told to make another choice because they explained that that choice could not be prepared medium rare, only to have the replacement dish way underprepared. Lesley, the manager, tried her best to appease our guest who was thoroughly disgusted and lost her appetite. Stonewood has potential to be a great neighborhood restaurant with their diverse, good menu. However, service needs to be upgraded considerably.
We had delicious, well-made drinks first with their pretzel, bread sticks. Our main course we good, but not excellent. Two of us had shrimp with scallops and they were very small. A third person had the trout and it was dry. The four in our party had the tuna and enjoyed it. Our waiter was very good and he gave us the options for the sides very clearly and brought everything we asked for.
Our server, Angello, was attentive and made the evening special for our out of town birthday guest. The food was excellent and the happy hour drink special was honored, although we got there when it was just ending. We are locals and we will be back!
My wife and I went to Stonewood for dinner, as we have many times before. We keep coming back because of the warm, cozy atmosphere, wonderful service, great meals all at reasonable prices. It's great to know we have a consistent, friendly place to go in Wellington where you can count on a good meal for any occasion, from just a Wednesday dinner, to an anniversary or other family get-together. Couple that with outstanding service (as we always get with Tracy), and you have a winning combination.
Thanks again, and keep up the good work!
Excellent food, service and value!!! We love going there. We brought friends that had never been there. They loved it. & definitely will be going back
great service moderately priced menu= winning combination
Food was very good. Best onion soup and French Dip I have had!☺️🌴🌴 Good service good food. Thank you
Always a great place and we've been going there for quite a while now! Food has been consistently good and the service has also been great. Servers are aware and keep in touch with your table but without being too pushy or hovering too much! The personalities vary but that is part of what makes it so very interesting and engaging! Atmosphere and music is a nice touch and they are always busy. Reservations are a must! But it is well worth it!
Excellent restaurant. Menu variety, food and service was all great. Actually service was exceptional. Prices are reasonable for quality as well
We have always had good service and food at Stonewood but I think they were just having an "off" night. It took over an hour to get our food and the waitress never even apologized or checked on us. Our food arrived and it was just decent.. someone had steak and mashed potatoes and it was cold.
We did mention something to manager and he was extremely accomodating, took off the bad entree, offered us free drinks and dessert so we will definitely be back... just wasn't a good night on Friday.
We take EVERYONE there. Just love it! Thanks for being our go-to neighborhood kitchen outside of our own. You never disappoint! See you later this week...
Great service by Miranda. Great food. Great evening :)
The food was delicious and the service was outstanding
The six of us visit Stonewood often but this visit was very disappointing. We came in at 6:30 and did not receive our main meal until 7:45. We had to ask for bread. We did have the bruschetta appetizer, one for the six of us because my friend had a coupon. I had to ask for ice a couple of times. When the manager asked about our experience, my friend related our experience and she alluded to a problem where the general manager had to work in the kitchen that night. She also gave each couple a coupon for a free bruschetta appetizer which we thought was smart of her. We will give the restaurant another try since, we hope, this was an anomaly.
This place is fantastic. Great food, reasonably priced.
Excellent! Salmon was perfect! Service excellent. Great value! Has quickly become a favorite!
Love the coupon.
Bruschetta, Steak salad, SW salad with salmon, ice cream. Fresh ingredients, meticulous prep, elegant presentation. Bruschetta was particularly delicious, generous portions for two. We dined at a bar booth, by choice for the comfort and coziness. On Sunday nights, the bar is quiet and the bartenders serve the booths: promptly, attentively, and expertly. A lovely night. Thanks to all.
Quality food. Waiter (Jimmy) very attentive to our needs. I always enjoy the French onion soup but this was the best they’ve ever made and I’ve been to France!!!
We went on a Saturday night, as we always do. We do like Stonewood, however this visit -- ran out of pretzel bread and ice tea and had to wait quite a while for it. During dinner time-- no excuse for that.
Food was good, waitress was good, prices are good.
Two of us had short ribs with ravioli, and two had the chicken pot pie. We enjoyed the short ribs, and one of us liked the chicken pot pie. The other diner did not like the pot pie. The food was fine but too creamy for her taste.
The waiter was average at best.
We had 7:00 PM reservations made through Open Table and were not called to be seated till 7:16PM. Had to wait a few for water and a little slow with drink order. After that we had great prompt service and very good value food. Have been at Stonewood before and will return.
Thursday are $5 stioli drinks
Nice atmosphere great food great service
