Stonewood Grill & Tavern - Wellington Ratings and Reviews
Not our first visit and was as enjoyable as on previous occasions. Had and recommend salmon on cedar plank: nice portion, well prepared with a delicious glaze. Also, the Stonewood salad is exceptional. Happy hour drinks: good selection and very reasonably priced.
This was my second time dinning at Stonewood Grill and Tavern and it will not be my last. Both times the service was excellent, as was the food. I would have rated the food outstanding, as it was delicious both times. However on both dinning occasions, with different entrees I encountered minor issues. My first time there I had the Lamb, which was delicious, however I found a small lamb bone in my mashed potatoes. The second time I had the flounder, in which I found a bone. At any rate, these minor issues will not deter a third visit to the Stonewood Grill and Tavern.
This was our first visit to Stonewood Grill & Tavern and we were very happy with the quality of the food, the server and ambiance. We will definitely be back to dine on a regular basis. Each one of the four of us had a fish dish, and they were all great. The special catch of the day was excellent (rainbow trout with mediterranean topping).
Great martinis on Rhursday night only $5😄 Good variety of platters - meat, fish, chicken - main course sakads as well. Great and abundant appetizers. We had the bruschetta and it could have been shared with 4 - it was piled high and delicious. My friend had the black grouper grilled with two sides and enjoyed it. I had the steak salad, ordered it med rare - came out perfect and took home half because it was so large. Wait staff was great - offered suggestions and was there when we needed her. The place was full at 7:30 pm on a Friday night and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. Will definitely dine here again
I understand it is getting busy, but the restaurant needs to have staff. Food was brought out and we did not have any silverware. Server seemed like he needed a little help. I ordered the short ribs with butternut squash ravioli and requested sauces on the side. Plate came out and was very unappetizing It could have been plated. Four slices of over cooked meat (maybe it needs to soak in the sauce to re-hydrate) and 8 ravioli. Four on each side of the meat. Meat without sauce was not good, but the sauce was tasty. People that ordered steak and potatoes were happy so next time that is what I will do.
The menu is broad and everyone in a group can find something he will enjoy. It’s mostly standard fare, very well prepared, from chicken pot pie to lamb chops. The chocolate bread pudding with vanilla ice cream is delicious and one serving is enough for four people! And, best of all, the service was fantastic!
Stonewood Grille is one of my favorite local restaurants. Always good! This visit was
very good as usual, but we had a guest with us from out of town and learned it was actually his birthday. I excused myself from the table and approached the hostess to ask her to please relay to our waitress (told her the name) that it was our guest birthday and would they please surprise him with a dessert with a candle. Well, dinner came and went and no dessert or candle arrived. I was very disappointed that we did not get to honor our guest as we had attempted to plan. The rest of the experience was very good!
everyone liked their meal but no one raved about it. Mine this time, and we eat here often, was tasty but the chicken portion was skimpy over the pasta. The sun dried tomato was non existent except for one tiny piece.
If you need to raise your prices then do so...but at least give your customers a decent size portion of poultry fish or beef along with the great sauces.
I was disappointed to say the least.
We come here often. Service this time was quite slow for some reason. Waitress was great, just seemed to take extra long for our food to come out of the kitchen. Husband ordered the grouper entree. I have to say the portion of the grouper was very small. Bread pudding was outstanding. Prime rib was A+. Not too fatty at all. Salmon appetizer is our go to and it never fails. Ordered a bottle of the True Myth wine and that was probably one of the best wines we've had there. Would def recommend ordering that wine!
We are always taken care of when we walk in the door and leave. Staff is courteous, drinks are reasonable. Food is excellent and always cooked perfectly. Seasonal menu has never disappointed us. Wait staff is always available for all our needs. Managers always walk around the restaurant to make sure we are taken care of and we are always.
on weekends the food is wonderful....not so great during the week, must be a different chef.
one place that you can actually talk as the noise level is good. This visit , for the first time, the music was blasting when we came in. It took my asking 3 times for someone to finally lower it to a sensible volume.
We have not been to Stonewall in a while. wW were enticed back by an offering of resonable priced dinner specials. Generally dinner specials leave something to be desired. Our meals, four people, were all good. Well prepared, each dish was a good portion. The preparation was fresh. We all enjoyed the meal. Service as in the past was good.
We hadn't gone to Stonewood Grill for a while & about a month ago, decided to give it another try. We were pleasantly surprised. I love the chicken pot pie ($15) topped with the puff pastry. I also can't decide which I like better, the chowder or a French onion soup ($6.50 for a bowl). My husband enjoys the chicken with vegetables over pasta ($16) and the wedge salad ($6.80). I've also had the pork Marsala over pasta ($16) and enjoyed that too. Our server that night was very attentive and that added to the enjoyment of the meal.
