We always love dining at Stonewood Grill. Whenever we have company that's where we take them and for special occasions! Our server Lisa was great, made wonderful recommendations !! Loved the Stoli Martinis!!!
Due to viruse ate outside. Food was good however the waitstaff was fabulous
Thank you Stonewood for a very pleasant eating experience
We have eaten here many times before. We were looking forward to our dinner. We had not been here since before the infamous pandemic..... Unfortunately, this was our worst experience. Our food was "OK". I ordered the "crab stuffed" grouper? I'm not sure there ever was the crab stuffed part( did they forget?) and I have lived in Florida for over 36 years and question the grouper part...it MAY have been, but certainly not good quality because NEVER have I had dark meat in my grouper... it never sliced into medallions and it was a bit chewy and flavorless. My husband wanted the delectable lamb chops they used to serve but they were no longer available so he ordered the shrimp and scallops.....again,low quality and very chain like. Scallops were about the size of a quarter. The server was very sweet and polite but we waited for everything. A dinner for two turned into a 2+ hour marathon.
A very uncomfortable time. Then we ordered dessert only because it was my birthday and it was free. I should have listened to my husband when he said to just get it to go... The slice of cake was the thinnest we have ever been served. I wish I would have taken a picture. I would not be exaggerating if I said it was barely 2" thick.
As an appetizer we ordered the brie. It was delicious. No complaints there.
I don't think we'll be back any time soon but we're not giving up on the place yet.
I am a regular customer because the food is always superb, the service is always great and the prices are reasonable. I know my dining experience will never disappoint.
Great Service
Anniversary
Great restaurant! Drinks are top notch, food is amazing! Service is usually amazing but this time was very much lacking, but the manager went out of his way to make up for it. Will absolutely be back again tho!
Seated after brief wait for 6:15 reservation. 1st Drink from bar was light on alcohol , 2nd was properly made. Blue cheese chips appetizer was good. Clam chowder cup was very good. Blackened chicken pasta dish was flavorful and filling . Southwest chicken bowl was beautifully presented and flavorful. Prices were very good and not what we remembered from many years ago. We will be back.
We went there for New Years Eve. We made a reservation for 8:15 and was sat almost 30 mins after our reservation time. When we finally got our table, we had a booth/chairs. Which is fine - but the chairs were folding chairs and NOT comfortable at all. It took a server 15 mins to come to the table to take our drinks. Tables around us were getting orders taken and bread to the table. We had to flag our waitress down 3 times just to get bread. Her excuse every time was “ bread is in the oven”. When clearly it wasn’t because tables around us were getting baskets of bread. Appetizers came out pretty quick, I will give them that. But 40 mins later after our apps were done, we still haven’t seen our food. We finally got our food around 9:40ish and it was cold and just meh. One plate had a hair in the food. Then we had to flag our waitress down AGAIN just to get our check. Overall terrible experience and probably will not be going back again. For a meal I spent $140 - not worth it at all.
Unfortunately the place was dirty. Our booth was not clean, our silverware was bent, the ceiling as dirty above us and the waiter couldn’t be bothered to wear his mask on his nose, nor did a cook or line staff in the kitchen. The drinks were very good. The food was ok.
My husband and I chose to go to Stonewood Grill & Tavern for New Years Eve just because it was special. It was pretty quiet and calming even some people had their children. The staff was fantastic, professional and so nice considering they were short when someone had to be sent home. We appreciate everyone there and want to thank them for making every night special that we decide to dine there.
Food is outstanding. Best onion soup ever!! OK everything was great to eat. Staff is so pleasant and accomodating. Manage came to every table to speak to everyone .
Atmosphere is mellow..not the noisy stuff. Can really hear the person you are with. Very relaxing and not rushed.
We can for New Year’s Eve dinner the Food was delicious, great service. Definitely recommend
Good atmosphetr
Love this restaurant! My husband and I went on New Year’s Eve and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Tracy was our server. She was very courteous and professional. Appetizer and food were tasty and delicious and our drinks were refilled spontaneously. Manager, Craig stopped at our table to see how we were doing and to thank us for coming. Overall, we had a memorable time and will definitely return.
The burger was pretty plain and tasteless. The catch of the day was pretty good. The coffee was terrible, tasted worst than bad airplane coffee. The air co was so cold, it was uncomfortable to be there.
Table was not cleaned when we were seated. During this trying times restaurants should be overly cleaning. The hostess sat patrons right next to us when there were plenty of empty tables.
Good pretzel bread while we ordered. The Buffalo shrimp appetizer was fantastic!! The salmon was excellent and chicken club was very tasty
We have eaten here for last 5 years every xmas eve. We've always enjoyed it. The food is very good. However, every time we order a steak it is never quite right. My husband got the grouper and was wonderful. The waitress was sweet and very busy.
When I got my food, a steak. It was ice cold on top. And the steak wasnt hot.
This is 2nd time this happened to me. So Next time I'll order seafood.
Also the plates looked rather odd. The potatoes were scooped with a cafeteria type scoop. So made plate not look as nice at a top restaurant.
Food otherwise is fine.
Understanding that it was Christmas Eve, our meals arrived and hour and 1/2 after we got there. The manager tried to make things right and, again, I know there's a pandemic, but the waiter didn't even know that they didn't carry malt vinegar and my 96 year old dad sat waiting for it. The plates came out so hot that they were likely sitting under a lamp for a time. Probably wouldn't go back.
Always a go to dining place for outstanding food, wonderful service and great atmosphere.
Food was absolutely delicious service was amazing love Stonewood go almost every week at least one or two times!
I love Stonewood Grill and tavern. Although I have to drive 25 miles to get there, I always have a great meal. However, the meal this time although very good, I don’t know why it took so very long for it to come out of the kitchen. We had a 6:30 reservation and had to ask for the bread since it was going on 8:00 before our food came out. I’ve never had to wait that long before. I had the grouper with a thin layer of crabmeat, if you could find the crabmeat but I really wanted the grouper. If they were going to put such a thin layer of crabmeat on top they should have just left it off since you couldn’t find it anyway. Since, we waited so long to we asked for a free dessert which they should have offered instead of us asking for it. Maybe it was an off night for them. I’ll definitely go back just because I like the place and there food
We were seated quickly and that is where it ended. We were served drinks and our food order taken. 45 minutes later we were still waiting for our appetizers. After complaining the manager took over and we had decent service. She apologized but the damage was done. My husband and I will not go back to this restaurant
My daughter came in town. Had great meal and server!
Birthday experience good! Service a bit slow.
Wonderful food, service & value. Staff is hospitable, friendly & professional. They always honor special requests to alter a dish to suit dietary restrictions/palate tastes. Manager always stops at every table to check that all is going as per their high standards.
All around excellent meal. If you are there early take advantage of the happy hour drinks
The prime rib was awful this time-very tough! Last time it was excellent. I guess hit or miss. 😢
Food and service were okay. Not too happy with the menu now. It was better before the pandemic.
Very good experience. Nice waitress! Yummy food! The overall environment was quality and great for chillax date night.
Daniel was a good server. We want on thanksgiving and it was a nice time but we thought the food was just average. Our quesadilla appetizer was good! Over all it was just okay and can’t imagine going back any time soon
Service was outstanding and they took care of a large crowd in an exemplary fashion. Actually, they served the main course before we had had even sipped our cocktails.. and the turkey was cold. They quickly corrected it and served another hot dinner.
It was a good value and a nice Thanksgiving
My Thanksgiving dinner was cold. Was replaced with dark meat which I don’t like and the portions were quite skimpy. My grandson got a steak that was mostly all fat and the french fries were only a few on the plate. My daughter finally found her a piece of chicken under all her mushrooms. Overall I Thanksgiving dinner was fair.Well your next question is what I recommend to a friend maybe on a different night maybe this service and the food would be different. My husband and I have eaten there before and had good results
I have never had a bad meal here. The food and service is always good.
Always a great night! We love Dalia and Jesse!
Service was great. Jessie was on top of everything. Food was good, nice variety but not overwhelming
Food is good. The menu is large and varied. Most by mains have two sides picked from an extensive list.
You won’t leave hungry.
Good wine selection as well.
We go here frequently,
This is the first time we ate outside. It was a great experience. The food was delicious, the service great. We celebrated a birthday, too.
Still my favorite neighborhood restaurant. Did a terrific job in creating a simple but pleasing outdoor area. Honors reservations. Friendly staff and above average food and drink.
