The service was very good, however, the food was mediocre at best. We ordered the onion soup, which was very tasty , but it sat to long and the cheese was difficult cut. It was lukewarm. Steve had the burger which was good, the fries however were soggy with grease. I had the steak medallions with asparagus and mixed potatoes . The potatoes were very bland , no seasoning at all. The asparagus was good. The steak was tough and chewy. I did enjoy the boursin cheese. It felt like the whole meal was ready too early before it was served. It all tasted and appeared to be lukewarm at best.
Always a great meal
Misled by the a Wedge Salad on the menu. Came to the table with cucumbers. Jason Price offered you remake it but I respectfully declined. Ordered a $32 rib eye that was prepared to expected but arrived to the table no longer super hot. Again, didn’t care to send back. Wife enjoyed her meal with a “French theme” of French Onion Soup and French Dip.
Everything was very good. However, there was a new bartender and delayed our drinks from getting to us in a timely manner and one of our drinks were not made correctly.
The food was very good and the waitress did a great job.
Great place to dine, both Matt and our server Matthew were very attentive. My husband's birthday dinner was a great success.
We always have a nice time at Stonewood Grill. They no longer serve the delicious rolls unless you ask for them, so make sure to ask! My blackened fish sandwich was excellent and everyone else enjoyed their meals.
The food was good! The restaurant was very loud and hot.
Good service, friendly and attentive, very busy but managed very well, no rush and best Calamari on the West Coast of florida. Presentation was very good and prepared just right, hot and tasty. Will return often.
Only issue was that Macallan 18 is shown as $24 on the menu, but they charged me $26.
Perfectly cooked and seasoned salmon that tasted great.
When I first arrived and found out that long-time manager Dave wasn't there any longer I was a little concerned however I must say everything went along to riffic Lee my friend and I had a terrific time great food great atmosphere great service.
As usual, great food !!
I understand it was New Year’s Eve and very busy but we had to wait 45 minutes to be seated despite having a reservation. Then it took just about the same amount of time to get our food. Just wish they were better prepared for a busy night.
I still would say yes, but I would have to tell them that the quality of the food is only fair now. Since Dave the Manager left, I feel the quality of the food has gone down hill.
I had the steak and it was better than the last time we were at SG&T. I also ordered the Onion soup which was very tasteless. I almost returned it because it just wasn't like it was in the past. The entry that my wife had was the Lamb Pops which were y=tough and not served as ordered. She ordered medium and was presented with closer to rare. When the the dish was returned after the server was informed of the problem, it still was not medium. My wife decided to eat it anyway. This happen the last time we are SG&T.
In the past SG&T was our goto restaurant for family and special occasions. After this last visit, my wife and I decided we need to look for another restaurant.
We enjoyed the meal we had at Stonewood. Everyone’s meal was prepared appropriately and was delicious! Our server was attentive and very pleasant. We will definitely return.
Reasonably priced restaurant with very good to excellent food, nice decor and very prompt but not over-solicitous waiter.
Everything was delicious and our waiter was wonderful. Danny was attentive and provided suggestions.
Bad service food undercooked was there on Saturday night
One of our favorite places...food is delicious...service is so accommodating...nice to meet you Matt...Caryn and Skip Powers
We were promptly seated in an area with less background noise than others. Our server was pleasant and attentive. My wife's steak was perfectly prepared as was my swordfish (the dinner special). During a chat with our server, my wife mentioned we were returning from from our 38th anniversary road trip to Sanibel Island. We stopped in Tampa to have dinner at Stonewood which has always been great. When my wife's favorite desert, chocolate bread pudding, was brought out it included a lit candle and a Happy Anniversary card. The desert was complimentary. Thank you Stonewood!
Excellent food and service I always seem to have a good meal here it’s a nice place for a date night
Was a tad disappointed since I stated in the reservation that it was my husband's birthday and even mentioned it to the server and there was no recognition of such. Guess I was expecting too much
As always ... outstanding food, service and ambience. We miss Dave, but Matt has stepped up to fill the spot ❣️❣️
Made reservation (that were honored as scheduled without waiting) for 6 to catch up with friends and all was very good... the food, service, wine and noise level. All contributed to a great evening.
Went for the first time and had a very good first experience. The food was good and our service was excellent. We’ll def be back.
I had lunch at Stonewood Grill during the week with a friend. It was very busy and expected a little delay but it was quite a bit longer wait than expected. It took 20 minutes after ordering for our food to arrive. We both ordered the salmon bowl which was delicious. Our waitress was friendly but very busy so hard to track down when we needed something. So great food and friendly service just extremely slow especially when trying to have a quick work week lunch.
Always great food and time!
Miss Dave! The ambience is not the same. He truly cared about his customers
I have eaten here several times and always pleased but this time, I was not pleased with food. I ordered the short ribs and was disappointed to see a few small slices that were mostly fat and left on the plate. I would recommend this restaurant with advice to stay away from the short ribs. Service was excellent.
Need to provide more vegan options ! The move to use peanut oil was not a good choice it excludes some of our friends from joining us
As always, the appetizers were great. Try the Bruschetta or the Stone Bites. I really enjoyed the shrimp & scallops entree. Simply grilled and very tasty. My wife also liked the cedar plank salmon.
My salmon was served raw and needed to sent back to be re-cooked.
Enjoyed the as always delicious food in the bar watching the football game. Had an amazingly ice cold martini made by CHAD.
Service was immediate, friendly and helpful. We got exactly what we ordered at the appropriate time and it tasted great. Highly recommended.
Went there on Thanksgiving. The turkey was delicious, as well as the mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing and green beans. Will probably go there next year!
Great atmosphere server was excellent
Cassandra was our server and she is simply great! Food and atmosphere was pleasing as well.
Thanksgiving meal didn't seem as delicious as it has in the past or as generous. Turkey chunks instead of slices, small portion of French-style green beans, smashed potatoes were plentiful & delicious, didn't care for some kind of cranberry pate', gravy seemed like half fresh/packaged. Desert a stingy sliver size of pumpkin or pecan pie but very delicious. Server Dave was excellent.
thought a salad hould have inluded with thanksgiving dinner
