Our waiter was great and very attentive. The food and the atmosphere are always good
I am wondering if this establishment is under new ownership or management. There is a decline in overall cleanliness, quality of host & waitstaff, & the type of music played in the background. The music is also played at a higher volume. I noticed all of this at my last visit as well.
I frequent this establishment at least 12 times a year on personal & business occasions.
The food was AMAZING! Our server, Ryan, introduced himself by bringing water for the whole table. Really great experience!
Waitress was very snarky. Couldn't get the order right because she didn't listen. Waited 35 minutes for an extra to-go-order that we put in at the beginning of the meal. The manager had to handle that and finally bring our check as well. Waitress more concerned with cute boys on the other side of the restaurant.
Usually on a Sunday evening there is a modest crowd of locals dining and catching up with neighbors and friends. Sunday evening August 4 the dining was nearly empty. Stonewood is definitely feeling the effects with the loss of their former GM Dave.
We were dining with friends and in the 2+ hours of our visit we did not one manager or supervisor which the former management was known for interacting with his patrons.
This was our first time eating at Stonewood. The crab cheese dip with home made chips were perfect compliment to our cocktails. My wife ordered the ribeye with mashed it was tender and buttery in flavor she loved it. I had the grilled chicken with bow tie pasta in cream sauce and added grilled scallops and shrimp. This dish was delicious. For desert we had their signature dish, chocolate bread pudding we highly recommend it. We will definitely be going back again.
I have been going to Stonewood for 15 years and never experienced such a rude waitress, Leslie. We had a 6:15 reservation and were waiting for some guests. After a half hour we asked to have our order taken and then another half hour passed before it was taken, and after I spoke to someone. The waitress was rude and agitated and made you uncomfortable because she wasn't happy we said it took long for service. You would've thought she would've worked harder to make us happy but no. I still love Stonewood, and this bad experience will not stop me from dining there but I will never want to be waited on by Leslie again.
Service wasn’t as good as it used to be.
The food took a long time only to be room temperature, taste bland and out of a frozen box dinner. The $31 filet was undercooked and under seasoned. Our server rarely checked our table; someone else had to refill our drinks and clear our plates.
Took my wife there for her birthday. The food was delicious! My chimichurri steak was delicious & not too spicy. Dave, our server, was helpful in answering our questions about the menu. The bread puddin' for dessert was fantastic. Overall, a very good dining experience.
Great food and atmosphere... service was better on our 1st visit but was still okay this time. We will go back!
Stonewood was excellent.. The company i work for chose this establishment as our Yearly christmas party venue. And as per tradition they pass out a generous gift card so you may return at a later date with whomever you choose, I chose my girlfriend and her son.
The hostess had immediately greeted us upon entering the building and checked our reservations. We were seated in seconds handed our menus and a small toy to entertain the children soon after we enjoyed a delicious dinner.
The room was buzzing w light chatter and smiling faces of couples and families young and old. When our bill had come is was not as expensive as expected. Actually we had enough to pay our bill and pass off the remainder of the card to pay for the meal of the family across the way entertaining their grandmother with a newborn only a few months old.
This is definitely a family friendly enviroment and worth recomending to family or friends again and again.
Thank you stonewood for an excellent experience.
Appetizer and dessert were very good, but was very disappointed in the filet.
Probably the best Bruschetta we've had. My wife loves the Prime Rib dip, and we also shared some French Onion soup which was equally outstanding. Highly recommend!
Great service and the food was amazing
We were seated immediately for our reservation. Our waiter Thomas came over almost immediately and started taking our order. He told us about the happy hour specials and got our drinks right before happy hour was over. Our appetizer was brought quickly and before we could finish our meal was brought in short order.
Excellent waitress, food was very good and arrived in a reasonable time after we ordered. Everything was hot, fresh, and flavorful. The noise was not too loud and you could hold an easy conversation.
The prices are high here. I expected that. However, when they charge $31 for a 6 oz. filet with one side, that was going too far. The smallest plate on the table was the most expensive. Don't you think they could afford two sides?
Very good shrimp and grilled scallops. Service by Jason was great!!!
We took our friend to Stonewood Grill in New Tampa and it was his first time there. He thoroughly enjoyed his meal and the ambiance of the restaurant. It is one of our favorite restaurants in this area.
Always reliable and always a good meal. all their cuisine in a little bit basic and not daring although they maintain high quality. However I think the prices are starting to creep and I question their “value“ anymore. I will likely continue to go longer but I again feel prices are starting to get out of hand for the beef items
The sirloin steak was not cooked correctly. We were told they were firing up a new one....wrong . Given same steak done well and not medium. Not the proper thing to do for the price of the steak. Not going back and telling my community of friends.
Food was great! Took a little longer than expected for the amount of occupied tables and server seemed to be very busy or preoccupied.
We have been a patron of Stonewood Grill & Tavern in Tampa Palms for many years as we live less that a mile from their store. I have reviewed our experiences over those years on Open Table as well as Trip Adviser and all of my reviews have been either 4 stars or 5 stars. Approximately three weeks ago we once again met friends there for dinner and frankly we were not pleased with food preparation nor the service as it was exceptionally slow (like we waited for 20+ minutes for drinks to arrive). I decided that it was an off day so I did not write a review.
Last Saturday night 7/13/2019 we decided to try Stonewood with some different friends and what we experienced was even worse. It took over 20 minutes for drinks to arrive and more than 30 minutes for our meals to arrive from time of order.
When the former Manager known to me as Dave was running the restaurant we certainly did not have the poor experiences as we had in our last two dining attempts. I need to also note that if the current manager was there either evening, we certainly did not see him/her nor was there a floor manager present either. Dave on the other hand knew me and and my wife by our first names and always came to our table at least once to chat with us and our dinner companions during each visit if not more than once.
We and several sets of friends have had a three or four restaurant that we rotated through at least once or twice a month as we dine out two-three times a week. Stonewood has been the favorite in the rotation of most of our dinner companions and us but not any longer.
In a few months we might try again however our two - three dinners a month that would have been at Stonewood will be elsewhere.
I must say that this is my absolute favorite restaurant in Wesley Chapel. It should be rated the best in Wesley Chapel. I have been there 3 times and absolutely every time it’s been nothing but awesome from the service to the food.
Great food and service
It’s not the best place I’ve been to but it’s not the worst. Food is very good but the service is always slow.
Thomas & Cory we’re very attentive waiters. Menu recommendations were delicious.
Restaurant is clean and nice, service was good, the food was just ok for lunch. I have had pretty good steaks here but my colleague and I had the chicken salad sandwich and it was not terrible but not good either.
Our server was very attentive and took great care of a large crowd!
We were very happy and appreciated her attention to detail.
outstanding meal! My wife was in the mood for some Bruschetta, and she favors Stonewood's Bruschetta over all others. The Tuscan Chicken I has was also excellent. We will be back!
Danny the chef, was awesome!!! The service we received from him was outstanding! The food was average. Other than Danny, our service left much to be desired. But thank you again to Danny for making it a good experience!!!
This is one of our favorite spots with consistently good food and service, all at a good price. It's a great location for meeting up with friends since it's located right off the highway. What was missing this time was Dave Rathbun, the manager of the restaurant. He'd always come over to say hello and over the years we've come to know him very well. The typical Friday night crowd wasn't the same either; a little quiet. Food was still good as was the service.
Great experience and wonderful food ! Service was great!
This is our go to spot for a nice quiet date. Booths are comfy and private, food and service are always great! And they brought the orange cake back!!!! Need I say more!
Frequent visitor , service slow, food barely warm. Been coming to Stonewood for years on average 2 Saturday’s a month and found last Saturday below standards we normally enjoy.
We love Stonewood grill and have been to most locations, Tampa palms location was our first experience. I think our waitress was fairly new but really was not attentive to our table. Never offered bread we had to ask, never refilled our water and took awhile to clear dirty dishes off the table. Took over 15 minutes to get a simple slice of cake for dessert
We have never had any complaints about Stonewood food it is always consistently excellent. I ordered the 9 oz tenderloin medium rare. I am pretty sure I was given a 6 oz size and the steak was so well done it was inedible. My husband ordered a NY strip medium rare and his came medium if that. It was such a disappointment as we had been planning his birthday dinner for weeks and we live over an hour away so booked a hotel as well.
The manager was excellent in trying to rectify the poor food quality and she informed us she would take the meals off the bill. Then we got the bill and nothing had been removed and we had to gave the bill redone again.
This experience will not keep me from coming back but I have to say this location was the worst Stonewood we have been to
As I indicated we will be back but it will be a while...for the near future we will stick to the proven Stonewood restaurants and consistent excellent service in Jacksonville, Brandon and Daytona beach!
We have had bette experiences at this location and other locations before. The restaurant was loud due to a very large party next to us. Service is normally better but won’t rule it out yet.
Always enjoy the food and ambiance at Stonewood Grill!
Some items on the menu are a little pricey but the food and drinks are delicious. Service was a little slow for our party of 5 but everyone was friendly and accommodating so it made up for it.
