We have been there many times and always enjoy the food and atmosphere. I would highly recommend the short ribs with butternut squash ravoli.
Our waitress, Sarah, was wonderful as was the samon, etc.
Great filet! Great waitress. Enjoyed family.
Steven was an excellent waiter. He attended to our needs expertly and with finesse. He knows the menu. Good job!
I will return to this restaurant and other Stonewoods but this time, the food did not live up to expectations - fish too salty and grilled to the point of being dry and green beans were tough, not al dente.
We always have great food and service at any of the Stonewood restaurants. While this time the food was excellent as usual, the service left a little bit to be desired. It was Friday night and the restaurant was packed, so that probably explains the "less than quick" service. Our server lacked any personality and was not up to the usual excellent servers at Stonewood. It was still a delicious dinner and we highly recommend Stonewood.
Excellent as always.
The food was very good as was the service.
Consistently good service, food and atmosphere. Love this location!
Service and food were great
Stonewood's has always been a favorite for our dinner group outings. It is hard to find a restaurant that is quiet enough to hear our conversation above the noise in the background. The food choices and quality of Stonewood's has always been consistent. The service has always been very good with professional waiters who are attentive and exhibit care and concern for their clientele. Thank you
We were seated 25 minutes after reservation time. Long wait to order and then long wait for food. Appetizer took 30 minutes, and meal was delivered 45 minutes after that. Expected much better from a $36 ribeye. The salmon was dry. The server was much more attentive to table next to us, as they seemed to know him.
A local chain, that is very busy. A higher end type establishment, with a wide range of Seafood and Steaks. Our party of 5 had a variety of entrees Stuffed Flounder, Steak, etc and everyone was happy with. A solid 4 plus but not a 5.0 for this level of establishment. Deserts were excellent as were cocktails. Our server was excellent. We had Reservations and they seem to be a must, unless you want to wait 2 hours.
We had our daughter and family visiting and my brother and his wife joined the family reunion making a very enjoyable time. We all had different foods, but it was all excellent dining . WE especially enjoyed the various breads that were provided. Our waitress was Sarah and she did a fabulous job of taking care of us. My wife and I plan to go again soon and hope we get Sarah as our waitress. Highly recommend the place!
Excellent food and service.
Had an excellent meal and a great experience with my wife!
We were there last December and thought the Food was better.
Three of our family members went for Easter dinner. The food and the service were very good; however, where we were seated was not. A very large party was already seated in the very small room off the main dining area, and we could barely hear each other due to the large, noisy group so close to us. We finally gave up trying to have a conversation at all. We have always liked Stonewood, but apparently we will no longer be seated in the main room since one of our family members uses a wheelchair, so we are automatically seated in that same small room, which is extremely noisy and usually very chilly.
Though disappointed that the traditional Easter rack of lamb was no longer on the menu, the leg of lamb made up for it! It was tender and delicious.
Fantastic steaks. Excellent service. Great cocktails.
Went for my husbands birthday - we were seated in a nice booth as requested and our server Steve was great - friendly, attentive without being intrusive and didn’t rush us. We both had steaks which were cooked perfectly - the food was very good and not too busy on a Monday night as we’d hoped so nice relaxing atmosphere. Would highly recommend a visit when in Ormond Beach.
Everything was excellent except for the air conditioning which was set very cold. We requested it be turned down, and it was for a short time.
Salmon was great. It was really cooked well. Open Table messed up our reservations. They were for Friday instead of Saturday.
Had a great time! Food was delicious! Drinks were tasty!! It was a little loud, but overall, we all enjoyed it!
We had a fantastic meal! It was the perfect way to end a busy work week. We loved the cedar plank salmon and the beef medallions, they were both excellent. Steve was great as always.
Very good service, wine, food, and a great way to celebrate my wife's birthday.
I had not been to Stonewood Tavern for a few years because we have had health problems. When some picky German friends arrived to visit, I took a gamble and made reservations. It was pouring down rain and hailing on the way! We rushed with our umbrellas and found a large group of people waiting. I prepared myself to find that the reservation was just a joke. No, the reception welcomed us and we were taken immediately to our nice large booth with plenty of space for five. Our waiter, Allijandro (spelling?), was helpful, fast and funny. We shared an appetizer and then ate a variety of different meals from the menu. When the food was brought to the table, we were all truly astonished. It was delicious! I have disappointed picky guests from Europe so often but the food at Stonewood is truly excellent. We loved it!
the service was excellent, food was very good and served well: waited for appetizer to be finished and than severed main course.
Food was great. The place was crowded, but with the reservation they took us right to the table. Nice atmosphere and good wine. Try the Grouper.
It was bike week in Daytona and they were busy but the service was slow, steaks were ordered medium but were served raw. All the food was nothing to rave about. We will not be going back soon.
Food was terrific. Had onion soap, short ribs and butternut ravioli. My wife had Seafood and salad. Our waiter, Tyler, was terrific. My wife loves booths and we had one. Nice atmosphere and we had no trouble having a conversation without having to raise our voices.
Food was fresh and high quality. Rib eye was delicious and fillet perfectly cooked. Great service.
Consistent excellence. We took a visiting family member because one can rely on Stonewood for consistent excellence - and we were not disappointed. The grilled grouper was delightful for our guest - my filet mignon was grilled char on the outside, rare inside and perfect.
Food was good. I ordered a ribeye steak and was served a NY strip. Told waiter and he said that it was in fact a ribeye. I didn’t feel like debating so I ate it. I know the difference sir as I was a chef! I have been may times and have always enjoyed it.
Been here several times and food is always very good. Usually have great service but was a little off this week probably due to the large crowd.
This is a wonderful place for good food, great drinks and gear atmosphere!
We had finished a beer at the beer buf the sever argued with us about what beers were available.
Donald was are server and was very efficient and answered all our questions. He even found a mistake on the billing and had that corrected.
I had the ribeye with button mushrooms and broccoli. Outstanding!
Filet Mignon was worthy of this place for the first time in years. They had dumbed down the menu to control price point. First time in years filet portion was good and beautifully cooked. Maybe it helped that I spent extra for the crab imperial option (which wasn't perfect but was a nice deal as it gave me the asparagus I wanted.)
The place still suffers from the service bar being so far away and on the far side of the bar. We were in the extreme NE corner booth, so our orders and drinks were literally walked the entire longest length of the restaurant.
Our server, Steve, was wonderful. The flavor as well as the presentation of our selections was outstanding
