Stonewood Grill & Tavern - Naples Ratings and Reviews
I️ had been wanting to go back to Stonewood for quite some times do we finally made it there this past Saturday. Stonewood had been one of our favorites before we moved here 4 yrs ago and soon following. Not so Saturday. I️ had grilled Shrimp and scallops with broccoli and rice. The broccoli wad wayyy overdone and the rice was tasteless. We had to ask for bread and received one basket for 6 people. In addition, when our server asked if we wanted another round of gin/Tonics, the two guys who had them said yes, I️ said no and 3 gin/tonics came out. Stonewood used to wow us. After this last visit, not so much
We dined on a Thursday evening and had a slight delay in our reservation. When we left, there were still people waiting for a table in spite of the fact that about 25% of the tables were empty. The restaurant was uncomfortably cold. We were told the kitchen was hot so they turned the air conditioner down. Our dinners ( cedar plank salmon) were fine, but the service was slow. With so many restaurant choices in North Naples, it's hard to recommend Stonewood. The whole operation seemed very disorganized.
Never had a bad meal or a unpleasant experience at Stonewood. Being able to make a reservation at this busy place is a real benefit. The service staff is outstanding, professional and friendly .
I would recommend Stonewood to anyone looking for high quality device and food at a reasonable cost.
Sadly disappointed - service was poor !! Food just okay - for the price, I expected more.
Food dropped off and no more visits for water refills or anything. Not offered coffee or dessert.
Definitely won't hurry back. There are a lot of better restaurants in Naples.
took special desert for a birthday. instructions were written on the box and also told to the
hostess to tell our server. when it came time to serve she brought the box out w/plates and
said "I didn't know how you wanted to serve this". It was very disappointing and suppose to be a
surprise. Our server was also not attentive. Never returned and asked if any more drinks or water was desired. Only stopped by once after meal was served. We were very disappointed in our server. She also commented on the dessert saying "are those eclairs...we thought so back in the kitchen. She obviously looked at the desert and would have seen the writing on the box. Besides
if she was going to look why not put the desert on the plates and serve it. No one should have looked in the box just to look.
My husband and I were pleasantly surprised during our first (but not last) visit to the Stonewood Grill. The ambience was pleasing and the noise level was quiet enough that you could speak across the table without yelling as you have to do in a lot of restaurants around here. We both enjoyed the bruschetta for an appetizer, and the entrees were equally as delicious! We definitely plan on returning and bringing more guest with us the next times!
The food is excellent and nicely presented, and the service professional, but the purpose of this review is to extoll the atmosphere. Dark wood, large and comfy booths, and QUIET. No loud music blasting at you and no screaming TVs. You can have a civil conversation with your guests while enjoying an outstanding dining experience.
Brought friends who had never been to Stonewood Grill there to thank them for allowing us to stay in their condo following hurricane Irma. They loved it! As usual, everything we ordered was delicious, the service was great, and bringing them to Stonewood was the right decision for us. We’ll be back soon!
Disappointed that the Manager made no effort when a huge chip in the glass almost cut our guest. He actually said "the bar does break glasses sometimes" That is ridiculous. Never asked if she was ok and they still charged us for the drink! Come on guys. It would have been no big deal, but the guest recovery was ZERO
