The food and service was outstanding. Our server Savannah was wonderful! She was very attentive and helpful!
Delicious food! Guests enjoyed perfectly cooked prime rib. My cedar planked salmon was extraordinary! Great atmosphere...
Will definitely be returning.
Another good dinner of appetizers at Stonewood Grill & Tavern.
Dinner with my son and his fiance before we went to the theatre to see Hamilton. Food was excellent and a good time was had by all. Service was a little spotty, as is not uncommon with the Covid-19 'i don't want to' work force. Our server was fine, just seemed to be spread a little thin.
Great food great service nice atmosphere will definitely be back
Stonewood grill is one of my favorite restaurants.
Our waiter was excellent! unfortunately I do not recall his name. Food was good and great atmosphere. Would recommend!
Food was wonderful. Service was very slow at times but we understand things are different in this day and time. Thankful for our kind server and the kitchen staff who showed up! The manager was very personable. We will definitely be back.
Their food is excellent - ALWAYS. No matter what you try.
However, they were short on staff and it took a little longer
than normal but very delicious and nice to sit and chat with friends.
First…waiter told us if we wanted bread …. We now have to pay for it…WHat?… so we did.
Chicken POT pie. It was plopped out on a large plate. The chicken was not cut up. By the time I got it cut up…the food was cold…never again…I have eaten this many times…never again!
This was our first visit and we were pleased with our choice of restaurant. Our server was cordial, prompt, and attentive. She answered our questions and made suggestions. The meals were delicious---plank salmon and shrimp and scallops. We had plenty to eat. The chocolate bread pudding was fabulous. We will return in the future.
Celebration of my GF birthday 🎂!’ Great food, service and atmosphere
Great menu selection and the best Chocolate Bread Pudding.
My wife and I decided to go here to celebrate our Anniversary. Due to the “free” handouts plaguing our country, we honestly went prepared for slow service and staff burned out. Our waiter was amazing!! AND our food came out of the kitchen super fast!!! Outstanding job done by everyone at Stonewood Grill… best post-COVID restaurant in Jacksonville. Hands down!!
No point reward? Perhaps as we were 15 min early for our 15 min window? My crab-crusted cod 26.95 was the highlight. The southwest chicken bowl was a wasted effort. Almost offhandedly the server asked after delivering drinks was the question oh, did you want bread service? The manner and words gnawed at me for 26 hours before I looked closely at the receipt, $2.95 for 4 pretzel breadsticks and a tablespoon of oleo.
What can I say we went for my husband's 81st birthday. Had reservations for 7 PM seated within a reasonable time. Wait staff was on time received our drinks in a good time. Salad and entree were excellent. Server was attentive and always available. Server had a great personality. Food arrived in a timely manner. All food cooked to order. My husband received a dessert "on the house" for his birthday.
We had not been in along time because of the Virus. It was great to be back!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Server's name is "JOE"
Yummy food, great service and good prices. We went for happy hour...drinks and apps. $2.00 off wines!! Joseph was our server and he was great!
Alicia was wonderful and the food was great!
Our dinner was fabulous! Delicious, served at right temp and with a smile! We will return !
I made reservations indicating we were celebrating an anniversary. There was no acknowledgement of occasion. Morton's Steakhouse downtown would have has champagne & strawberries, special card and photos,
Very good meal and drinks. Service was excellent. The only off-putting part of the meal was that the restaurant charges for bread which normally a restaurant at this price point provides free of charge.
Good food. Service was good too, a little slow but acceptable I also liked that the servers wore masks (properly, over the noses).
Overall it was excellent. The lighting was a bit to bright and there was a table with six women who were way to loud near us. The waiter should have asked them to tone it down at least two or three times but chose not to.
Excusing those minor annoyances it was still an excellent experience. Our waiter, Kerry, was very helpful in recommending one of the specials after he had an opportunity to taste it. It lived up to everything he claimed about it.
The special was a grilled cod with a crusted crab topping and a creamed lemon sauce that was truly magnificent. If I didn’t know better I’d have sworn I was in a better class French Restaurant, perhaps one with a few Michelin Stars. Without question, one of the best meals I’ve had in Jacksonville.
Consistently good food and great service!
Great meal and experience! Our service was friendly and timely, and our meals were great! We will be back.
It’s very hard to believe that this place is a chain!! Everything about this place is lovely and I’m so glad I found it! The bruschetta is absolutely to die for and the homemade ranch is just the perfect touch to enjoy your salad with. Some of the best steak in the city!! No matter what the occasion is, this is the place to eat!
Stonewood has been one of my favorite places for many years. Last night’s experience was not as good as previous ones. Service was very good and I know that is often hard to come by in today’s employment market. The food was just a little off. My filet was cooked to a perfect medium well and was was very tender but had an overly smoky taste which I’ve never encountered at Stonewood before. The mashed potatoes have changed to “rustic” which means unpeeled and I didn’t care for them at all. The bruschetta was fabulous but we were disappointed that included bread service has been discontinued. Only pretzel bread is available at a pretty steep charge for 4 sticks. I understand price increases are inevitable, but in about 4 weeks from our last visit, bread service with my favorite cranberry rolls went from included with dinner to pretzel bread only for $4. I will go back I’m sure because of the service and ambiance and generally good food but I’m not as excited by idea as I was enforce this visit.
Our waitress was awesome, understood us, very positive, easy to talk to and very prompt and really took time to pay attention to our needs!!!!!
Everything was wonderful as usual& my steak was outstanding and cooked perfectly! my wife’s Tuscan chicken dinner was great! We didn’t even mind paying for the pretzel bread as it is the best ever! Our waiter was very attentive and I highly recommend this restaurant as we come here often! Billy R.
Loved it! Great food, friendly and prompt service and a caring chef!!!!
Birthday meal was great! Service and food excellent
Our reservation was recognized and we were seated immediately, while several other parties waited. We received preferred seating at a corner booth. The menu and specials were extensive, with substantial variety. Bar drinks and salads were served promptly. A promised bread plate never arrived. Entrees - grilled shrimp and scallops over rice, prime rib with baked potato, grilled salmon - arrived after a suitable interval. The prime rib, order medium rare, arrived very rare. It was sent back for additional cooking, and returned medium well, which the diner accepted. After which the attention of our server waned. The second round of bar drinks took unusually long time to arrive, as did the bill. It did not appear there were staffing issues with the wait staff, but can't be certain. The restaurant certainly strives for a high-quality dining experience, though this time it fell a bit short, but this won't stop us from returning in the future.
Delicious food, outstanding service. The manager made it a point to check on everyone to ensure their dining was nothing less than great
One of my most favorite restaurants. Always wonderful service and very delicious food. Never disappointed. Excellent. Highly recommend
Very disapointed that the good breadsticks and rolls no longer free. Coast $4.00. Not much but it is the idea of the thing.
Joseph tried to explain it but it was not a real good reason when you can get bread with your meal in most restaurants in Jacksonville at no charge.
My wife and I love the prime rib. They charge a couple of dollars for the pretzels while you wait for dinner, but they are delicious. John, GM is always around if you need anything!
Waited until past our reservation time to be sat at a table. Then we were sat at a small table directly at the end of a large loud group of people. If that wasn’t terrible enough then we waited 15 minutes with out even being acknowledged.
Finally asked the hostess for a new table. Then we were brought to a much better table. Not sure why that was not offered to us in the first place. Then we waited again, over 15 minutes this time before anyone even said hi to us.
Overall the service was terrible. It’s not exactly a high end restaurant but it’s expensive enough that you would expect much better service.
Tried it once. Won’t be back.
Great service and short wait for dinner to be served, nice presentation
Food delicious. Long time between visits from waiter. Kyle very attentive, but may have had too many tables.
We visit Stonewood quite often as it is conveniently located to an event we frequent every Friday night.
On this night we ordered the Salmon and SouthWest Chicken Bowls. For my side I ordered the wedge salad.
Although the server asked if I wanted the salad to come out first, when the entrees arrived I asked about the salad? He apologized.
This is only reason why I didn’t give 5 stars on this trip.
