Stonewood Grill & Tavern - Jacksonville Ratings and Reviews
Stonewood is a favorite neighborhood go-to restaurant but with fine-dining menu items. Great bar ambiance and food as well as excellent up-scale restaurant items. Great servers and great management. All strive to assure guests receive the best of everything. We took our daughter and son-in-law and toddler and they, too, loved all.
Good restaurant for a weekend dinner, good options on the menu and also they offer certain seasonal dishes, overall nice place for dinner, very good bar area with TVs to watch sports, Their Cedar Plank Salmond is excellent as well as rhe house salad which you can split, you can take your own wine for a $15,00 corkage fee.
We have been to this restaurant before and always enjoyed the food and service, however we were disappointed with the preselect menu we order for Thanksgiving. The turkey was not in slices but in pieces like it was left over. The cranberry sauce was very little in a small cup, tart and was not the kind we enjoy which is jelly like. The desserts were ok but the pecan pie was very sweet. The waiter seem not to show up when we need to talk with him and he totally forget to bring our coffee with our dessert, as he forget and did say he was sorry. Bottom line we were disappointed in the preset Thanksgiving dinner and felt it was overpriced. We will never again order a preselect dinner from this restaurant.
This was my first time eating out for Thanksgiving and I enjoyed every minute. The special Thanksgiving meal was liked by all, including a 16 year old and a 9 year old. The right price for the right amount of food and I didn't have to clean the dishes!
This was my first time dining at the Stonewood Grill & Tavern and I would like to return for one of their steaks and their hospitality .
Had not been in a few years, forgot it was there. Previously food was great however no longer the case. Was bland and not very good (salad and entrees) and very small portions especially given high price. The atmosphere is still very nice but not enough to mitigate the above issues. For these prices you can go to several places in st johns town center and get much better food with larger portions. Too bad as this used to be a great restaurant.
Everything was fine. Nothing really exceptional in terms of food , service or ambiance, but no problems either. It's fine for a simple dinner if you're in the neighborhood, but I can't say it's definitely worth the drive that say, Seasons 52 is. Our server Star was very warm and pleasant and the staff supportive and friendly.
We have eaten at another Stonewood Grill but this was our first visit to the Jacksonville location. Everything was great. Food was excellent and the server was attentive and competent. The tables didn’t seem crowded and the noise level was low. Will definitely return.
we enjoyed our recent visit to Stonewood. Our server Maureen was very pleasant and also knowledgeable, suggesting that, because we had been seated before 7, we could place our drink orders and still get happy hour prices (which we certainly appreciated!) We always the house smoked salmon appetizer - it's certainly a winner! Our dinners were timed perfectly so that we had finished our appetizer when our salads came and then had time to enjoy them and bread before the entrée appeared. All in all a very pleasant experience! The restaurant was "in between" seasonal menus which was a bit of a disappointment since they are always tasty and well thought out. Next time!
