   Went to Stonewood for Mother’s Day with my 2 adult children and my mother. Issue #1- they sat us 30 minutes past our reservation time. Issue #2- a Filet ordered Medium Rare came out well done- no checked in us for several minutes and we had tot rack someone down… Issue #3 and the BIGGEST issue my daughters blackened chicken pasta came with UNCOOKED RAW Chicken!!! The manager comped the meals but never apologized or seemed phased by the poor quality of food that came from her kitchen. That’s a last for us- unfortunately because last year it was great.

   I’ve been here twice. Food was pretty good not great. We unfortunately were sat at a table near the bar, and the bartenders were our servers. It was very busy so through no fault of their own our service was slow. I would recommend asking for a table not near the bar area.

   We eat here about 8 times a year. Normally its very good on all counts but if it gets busy it falls a bit short. This time the waitress came back after we ordered to say they were out of one by of our entrees, a crab stuffed salmon. Now there are other salmon entrees and other entrees with crab on the menu so one would expect to put it together wouldn’t be an issue but apparently so. I just ordered something else, we just thought it odd. The entrees both also came with sautéed green beans. However both servings were served raw and only slightly warmed. The kitchen should have done a better job. Both servings were left uneaten.  We’ll be back, but it was disappointing this time.

   I expected it to be busy since it was Mother’s Day but once we sat and ordered our food it didn’t come out until an hour later.. And because our food was likely sitting to come out together it was cold.. My mom got a complimentary dessert but a gnat landed on it..

   It was a wonderful Mother’s Day experience. I highly recommend Stonewood. The food was amazing and the service was so fast and great.

   Why have a reservation? Waited 45 minutes past my reservation time. Service was slow and inattentive

   We arrived on time. It then took over 1/2 hour waiting time to be seated. Wait staff was swamped and it took a long time to get our orders taken. Kitchen was also slow and food delivery was effected.

    First and foremost, we had an amazingly attentive and informative waitress. Savannah truly made our dining experience special and sets the bar high for other wait staff to emulate. For dinner, my wife had the Mother’s Day special of 8 ounce filet mignon and lobster tail and I had the lamb chops. Both were tender and cooked perfectly! The combination of service and food quality made our dining experience at Stonewood first class.
