Reservation not honored, first three item requested from menu they were out of, on a Saturday night. Salad, drinks and dinner all arrived at same time, but no silverware offered. Presentation of the special, lobster and scallops, looked like stew and unappetizing, scallops the size of spaghetti o's. Ordered because of incredible picture at table. Rice was bland, steak had no flavor. Took 30 minutes to get the check paid. Could not get out of there quick enough. Mega disappointment. Wait staff unconcerned with poor meal or lackluster service.
Appetizer was undercooked and main course was overcooked. When they re-made my main course it was undercooked. I also felt that we were being rushed so that they could "turnover the table". It felt like they were under staffed and definitely need a better cook/chef. This ruined our Birthday celebration.
Great food and nice place. Reservation was for 6:30 and didn't get seated until 6:52, which seemed because there was an inexperienced girl up front, but the wait was only real drawback.
GOOD SERVICE, GREAT FOOD, NICE PLACE TO GO. WE'VE BEEN THERE SEVERAL TIMES AND REALLY LIKE IT.
Our waitress was great and so was the food; even on a busy night.
Really good food and variety. Chocolate Bread Pudding is fantastic. Very good dining value.
Go here every year for Valentines and our anniversary, at least. This was my go to place for prime rib. Made a reservation weeks in advance for my wife, daughter and I and then was treated by the host like I was an inconvenience because we were a party of 3. We also had to wait over 20 mins after our reservation time just for an offer to sit in the bar, why did I even make a reservation? So we were sat in the bar, with a 2 year old. The waiter was good and was making up for it, his name was Charlie, but then he took our order and totally forgot about us. I asked for an end cut, even after he confirmed w the kitchen that they had it, and didn’t get one. And it took over 20 mins just to get our bill let alone after he brought it to us he forgot about us again and we waited another 10 mins just for someone to swipe our card. We have a 2 year old and it was getting late, we wanted to leave and put her to bed. Needless to say we won’t be going back, this is no longer our “go to” place.
This is our traditional go to resturant for Valentine's Day every year. Never been disappointed by the food. Did have a reservation, but still had to wait 25 mins after our time. That was the only disappointment.
The dining experience was fantastic, the service, food, and superior to most places. Wonderful and the wine selection above average.
Everything was very good as it has always been. Food was excellent and service was exactly what we expected.
It was a relaxed atmosphere, but there were lots of people there. The waiter was friendly and prompt. The seafood was fresh and the dessert was dynamite -- chocolate bread pudding!
My girlfriend failed to check in. We dined in the bar. Our server Aaron was great. He was very patient while my girlfriend took her time placing her order. Looking forward to another return visit to Stonewood soon.
Always good food and pleasant atmosphere.
We have been to Stonewood many times and have had good food and good service. However, our last time there, on Feb. 11....food was terrible and service was poor!
The beef medallions were excellent! My husband and I shared the chocolate bread pudding. It was to die for!!
I work as a CNA and Stonewood was recommended from a resident's family. I finally broke down and took my mom. I'm glad I did.
I love the dim atmosphere. Both times I've been, smelled heavily of fish when we walked in. Food is good, friendly staff. Had to wait several minutes even having reservations. Overall good, I'll definitely go back again.
Great neighborhood restaurant with great quality food and drinks. We share the bruschetta and the calamari which were delicious. My wife lobster roll was authentic with lots of lobster and light on the mayo. My Tuscan chicken was perfectly prepared and well balanced. We will go back!
OpenTable made the reservation process seamless and the restaurant didn't disappoint; been a while since we had gone there and the food quality and portions were spot on. We'll be back!!!
We had a business meeting over dinner - service was great and we accomplished what we had intended.
The restaurant was nice. A little homogeneous though.
Enjoyed great food with friends. Kylie was our server. She made great recommendations and was very attentive. The grouper special with Mediterranean topping was delicious as well as the Seafood Cavatappi. Topped it off with Chocolate Bread Pudding & coffee. A wonderful evening. One of our favorite places to eat. Never disappointed.
ALWAYS BUSY, BUT WORTH THE WAIT. DRINKS ARE EXCELLENT .FOOD WAS GREAT AND SERVED HOT.OUR TABLE WASN'T THE BEST LOCATION ON THIS TRIP BUT sTONEWOOD REMAINS ONE OF OUR FAVORITES!
Generally we enjoy dining at Stonewood. We had reservations for 6 and arrived a little early. Had to wait about 5 minutes which was fine. We were seated and then it felt like we were rushed the rest of the evening. We ordered an appetizer, salads, and entrees. The salad was brought immediately (almost before we received our drinks). We put them aside because we really didn't want to eat them before our appetizer. Once the appetizer arrived, the entrée was not far behind. I just felt like on that evening, I hardly had time to catch my breath. Food was good, but again, feeling rushed isn't good for digestion!
Great menu options. Marissa has been our waitress before. She is wonderful.
We have always had a great experience at Stonewood grill but I was disappointed this last visit. We had reservations so it wasnt like they squeezed us in. Our service was very slow, our food was not hot (warm-cooling) when we finally got it and the little bit of bread we got was barely warm and a little cool (like it was quickly thawed out ?) inside. Other waiters got us water cause it seemed that our waitress disappeared?? So I think we had a server problem cause another table beside us that had the same server had to get management.
We normally enjoy our time at Stonewood, but this time the Service was horrible. We were seated 15 minutes past our reservation time, which I could excuse, but then when we were finally seated, it took the server about 10 minutes to show up. Then, it took about 15 minutes to get our drinks.....another 15 for her to come back and take our order, then brought bread about 10 minutes later (which was raw). The entire night pretty much went that way. The food was good once I got my full meal. At first they forgot my shrimp, then they apparently forgot to put sauce on my entree so they sent out the sauce in a bowl on the side. :( Needless to say, not an enjoyable experience overall. They missed the mark tonight.
The food was very good, in both taste and presentation. The restaurant had a nice vibe to it, clean and well kept.
Our server was awesome!
First time we went, everything was perfect, from the food to the service. This past time, everything lacked. Service was horrible, we waited and waited and then still waited. At least 45 minutes was wasted waiting for drinks, for refills and for the bill. Food was mediocre - the lobster oscar was gross and not worth the $11 bucks for it. Very disappointed.
Excellent service. Food was spot on and atmosphere was nice!
Stonewood used to be really good. I went back thinking it would be the same. It wasn't. The Spinach, Crab and Brie dip was lazily served with chips rather than a toast point or a crustini. I was disappointed in the Chicken Pot Pie. The once flakly puff pastry was replaced by a cold and hard excuse for a pastry. The saddest part of the evening was seeing that the Mint Crepe was gone from the menu.
Another thing to note, we were seated near the kitchen. It was impossible to focus on the conversation during dinner as the loud music from the kitchen was clashing with the jazzy dining room music.
Overall, I was unimpressed. After wanting to be wowed by Stonewood (just like old times), I wasn't. Sad to say this but I won't be back.
Our food just wasn’t that good. I got the chicken pot pie and was sad to see it was a “deconstructed” pot pie. My hisband got the ribeye. It was cooked perfectly but it tasted like the grill....an overwhelmingly taste of the grill that not even his Bernadine sauce could help mask.
Family dinner. All at Stonewood we’re accommodating for our special needs & attentive to the dinner, the food was exceptional as was the service!
Amazing food and great service here! Drinks are made correctly not watered down like some other local establishments. Highly recommend
Great neighborhood upscale restaurant...friendly seevice
We made reservations and I highly recommend you do because the place was packed at 6:45 on a Tuesday. Staff was very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. Food was delicious and cooked to perfection. We had the spinach, crab and brie dip appetizer, Prime rib dinner with roasted espresso cauliflower, shrimp and scallops, and the boursin stuffed beef medallions dinner. We will definitely be back
Get great service great atmosphere the food was nice everything was great.
Excellent food and service at Stonewood makes this restaurant our favorite. We highly recommend it!
