Overall the experience was good. Went for a business lunch. Portions seemed small. Everyone at the table commented on that. It seemed to take a long time for the food to come out. The place was not busy at all. But, not a bad lunch by any means. The server was very nice.
Chalk it up to an off night I guess. While food was excellent, service was way off. We waited 15 minutes to be greeted at our table and were always out of drinks.
Kriss was awesome and very friendly!!! The food was excellent including drinks
We love the food, certain menu items. Our reservation was for 5:30 on Mother’s Day and when we got there they were running behind. I wasn’t too long of a wait when we where taken to our table. Our server came reviewed the two specials hastily and asked if we wanted water and she went and got those but didn’t ask if anyone wanted anything else, when she brought them she was going to just drop them and go but we were at least ready to order drinks. We had to stop her to order our drinks and ask for the blue cheese chips, at this time she advised that they were out and then hastily rattled off the items they were out of. When she finally returned with our drinks advising us she had to make them herself we began to order and I asked if they were out of anything else at which time she advised brussel sprouts. As she left the table we had to ask for bread. Three of us ordered prime rib medium rare, and my daughter the sirloin medium rare. The food took forever, my mom even commented that the table beside us sad down after us and got there food and was done with dessert before ours came. When our food finally came it was all cooked perfectly, but my creamed spinach was not there. She advised it would be out soon. My husband timed it and it took 10 minutes - we were almost done eating when the manager brought it out and apologized. It was a long winded apology and explanation. I appreciate the effort but she was hanging over my husbands plate the whole time. She did comp one meal and I also appreciate that but it did take an awful long time for our food. I understand all the food is made from scratch but if you are going to do that a manager should be managing the stock a bit better in my opinion - it’s Mother’s Day, you are going to be busy.
The last time we ate at Stonewood the service was excellent, the food was excellent, and the whole experience was wonderful. Maybe it was the fact that we were eight there this time on Mother’s Day, or maybe it was the fact that the staff was overworked, overwhelmed, and the food was severely overcooked, Except for the steak which was undercooked. We will never, I repeat never make a reservation at this restaurant again for any special occasion or holiday. Granted we arrived a little bit late for our reservation and we did call the restaurant to inform them, but they wouldn’t have been ready for us at our reservation time anyway except for the steak which was undercooked. We will never, I repeat never make a reservation at this restaurant again for any special occasion or holiday. Granted we arrived a little bit late for our reservation and we did call the restaurant to inform them, but they wouldn’t have been ready for us at our reservation time anyway, since we ended up waiting another 10 minutes after our slightly late arrival. It all went downhill from there. Our server appeared to have way too many things to do and after we got our appetizer, the kids meals, and our initial drinks which all came out very timely, we did not see our server again for almost half an hour except wants to tell us that she was checking on our food. It took 45 minutes after our appetizer arrived to get our food. There was no explanation just that they were super busy. Also they run out of kids menus at lunchtime. The staff did say That they got more people than expected that day. Well it was Mother’s Day. Isn’t that the busiest restaurant day of the year? One would think that a restaurant that was reserved from open till close would be able to anticipate the number of people it was going to have and would have extra children’s menus just in case. Good thing we brought the kids computers with us so they were entertained for the two hours from the time we were seated till the time we
For the most part everybody enjoyed their meal. My wife was very happy with the lobster tail/prime rib special. My filet mignon was a little overcooked. I order medium (usually comes center pink not bloody) on this occasion the center had no pink...it was more like med/well or well done . As always, we are happy with our experience at Stonewood...and the orange cake is to die for.
Good food fast sitting good server. Served 4 people at table had to wait a while for 2 other people to be served.
It has always been a pleasure to dine at Stonewood. Our guests commented that they would want to bring guests here, as well!
We have been to Stonewood on several occasions and every time the food and service have been wonderful! Love this place!
Always predictable. Good food and service. Very busy due to Mother's Day. Felt a little rushed.
Great food! Never disappointed when we eat here. Will definitely keep coming back!
My daughter specifically asked for no pink in her pork chop , not only was there pink but in the thick part it was NOT cooked in the middle. And I’m all about my fries and I wish steak places would up their game on fries.. they tasted like frozen fries. Follow the lead of Ruth Chris or Houston’s. Even Marlows. But the steaks were good quality. And my kids really liked the mashed potatoes.
We had a great time, and we were lucky to have a great waiter.... great place to have a nice brunch. The table next to us was beautifully decorated for a church Mother's Day celebration for its parishioners, and they were having a lovely time, too.
The problem at your establishment is there is very little parking and only 3 handicap spaces not nearly enough. Cliental are forced to park in other businesses parking areas and walk a long distance. Also the lot is very poorly lite up at night only 3 lights fir the complete lot. We will not return until improvements are made.
Kitchen was having an off night....not the typical quality I'm used to from them.
We have been many times. We really like Stonewood for special events. We had a coupon for free bruschetta - We agreed it was the best we ever had anywhere. Service was terrific, food was great. Only good stuff to say.
The food was wonderful, the staff were very responsive and friendly.
It was great. Everything was pretty much perfect from the moment we walked in the door. Food was great as always. Hostesses and waitress were all very sweet. We had a reservation and were seated right away even though we were a bit early. Very nice experience we will definitely be back:)
Excellent food, Excellent service and priced accordingly. Very nice experience. I would rate it at one of the best in the Tampa Bay Area. Stay the course Stonewood.
My husbands steak was on the tough side. Looked for lamb chops as we had them there before.
Lobster roll kind of skimpy on the lobster. Chips were on the soggy side.
Server was excellent.
Outstanding as always. Never had a bad experience there.
The food was very good. Our waiter was very attentive.
We were celebrating our anniversary and they treated us like royalty. It was a wonderful evening, food , ambiance ,everything was wonderful. We'll be going back . Thank you Stonewood.
My favs in brandon, great food and service ..drinks are awesome.
Stonewood is our favorite local restaurant for good food in Brandon.
Just don’t order the prime rib very bland not much flavor .
Get the fish that’s what my wife got liked it very much.
Stonewood worked its magic on Easter Sunday, extra tall bunny and fun was had by all.
My family thoroughly enjoyed dinner. We made reservations and were seated promptly. Very good service.
Service was outstanding. Food was really good and nice restaurant. Made for a great Easter meal after church.
We had a reservation for 1pm. The host was polite and had menus in hand but excused himself to answer the phone. This happened 2 consecutive times. We walked off and left him after the second call. He came to our table later and delivered menus. No apology. Our waiter must have been new. Could not answer a basic question about the salmon bowl on the menu. He delivered clam chowder to the table that was barely warm and had to be sent back. I ordered shrimp with onion rings. I feel $12.50 ($1.00 extra for onion rings) was a bit much for 6 shrimp and 4 onion rings. This was embracing for us because we had friends with us and we had compliment to them about how good Stonewood’s service and food were.
Went to have dinner on Friday night at 8:15. Surprisingly, it wasn't busy. We were seated and told our waiter would be with us. 25 minutes later still not waiter or water or anything. We waited as others were sat around us and other waiters walked by. We called this to the attention of the staff and then walked out. BUT not without a friendly, "Have a good night". I get it. This was a bad experience and is not expected to happen every time but this was our 1st experience there. It was very disappointing. With that being said, I would give them a shot again but very poor first impression.
We got two separate emails, one last week and one during the day on Monday, Apr 15, from Stonewood asking us to come in for one of their Cheeseburgers and a draft Yuengling beer for $10.40. We thought we would take advantage of that offer so we went at about 7:15pm. When we got there and got ready to order the server told us they were out of burgers so we were thinking about leaving. My wife asked what the substitute would be. The manager came over and said we could get their chicken sandwich for the same deal, so we decided to stay and have that sandwich and the draft beer. The server brought out bottled Yuengling, no glasses. We said it was supposed to be draft Yuengling and she said they don't have Yuengling on draft so we showed her the email. Then the chicken sandwiches came out and they were very bland and the tomatoes were not good tomatoes and the lettuce was wilted. The manager was very apologetic about being out of burgers. My wife told her that if they were going to offer something like that they need to plan better. Not sure if we'll go back.
Alex was awesome and very friendly. The experience was great overall from online reservation to the end.
Just a beer & a burger kinda day
It would be nice if you had table cloths or place mats it would add to the appearance greatly and reduce the noise level. The tables are wiped with same cloth from table to table including wiping the seats and then you expect your guest to place their silverware on the table. Not sanitary very distasteful.
Always love dining at Stonewood!!! Great food, great service, great ambiance!
Lily, our waitress was fantastic. Food was delicious
