We had a great lunch, food was excellent, this was first time we hand been here.
They have a very extensive menu with a variety of choices. We plan to go back again.
One. One, we were there at 1pm on a Monday so it was not busy. Very large restaurant.
First time there. So loud our poor server couldn't hear us unless we yelled. He did a good job in spit3 of it.
Bbq pork chops were tough cause they were overcooked. Green beans were good. Yukon Gold potatoes were bland...just mashed potatoes, needed salt...flavor. Won't be back.

Good for burgers, and a day out with friends for drinks. Big bar area with tv's to catch a game. My pot roast lacked flavor. The design is cool, lots of wood and western style. They have high chairs, catered for adult scene not practical for family with kids but doable. Also no diaper changing table. Good overall if you are out with a group for drinks without the kids. Plenty of seating.
Stonewood was amazingly accommodating of an OpenTable mistake. I reserved a Saturday night and even had confirmation for such, but the restaurant received it as a Sunday reservation. We had a group of 8 and the host staff still had us seated together within 5 minutes of our original reservation.
The wait staff was friendly, accurate, and expedient. I was the only one in the group who had previously visited, but everyone in my party has already talked about returning.
The noise levels are much more appropriate if you wish to actually converse with your table and not try to yell over the environment. It's not "quiet" dining, but neither is it the super noisy clatter of new millennial establishments. You won't leave with a sore throat from the conversation.
This is usually a good restaurant for consistency, once in a while it may fall short, do love this as a local casual dining place.
Service was fast and the food was yummy! They have a lot of weekly drink specials which is nice in this area.
Good food, excellent server! Only negative was that we would have had to wait 45 minutes for the pot roast, so had to choose something else.
Nice casual dining place - lots of room - large bar area and plenty of tables. Good staff. Food was good - though they could use more vegetarian options. Drinks were excellent - especially the specialty ones.
Kandice was a great bartender!
My only real complaint was that it was really too noisy to have a conversation where we were seated. There were a ton of guys hanging around in the bar and they were not quiet. Portions of food are huge -- too much for me - ended up taking half of it home, which is fine.
Nice place, great burgers. Our waitress was very nice and had a great sense of humor. Only complaint was that our ice teas were never refilled. Great place to meet for lunch.
The food was absolutely Amazing!! My husband & I both ordered the bacon burger with Egg & it was the best egg burger we have ever had!!! I did ask for booth by fireplace on my reservation but we were seated in the other room. I would love to come back & sit by the fireplace!!
This is a nice place near Woodfield Mall. It has great food and servers are nice and attentive. The ambiance is warm and yet still airy and open- I like sitting at the high tops in the bar area the best! They have good happy hour appetizers and wine...and a small fireplace!

We had a great Friday night date night dinner. We enjoy this restaurant and visit once a month or so.
The Gluten Free menu is the best because I know it is safe And that menu offers a lot of options.
(Actually after I ended up in the hospital because of an error on the GF Menu, the menu was changed. Although I am pretty sure someone owes us dinner.) 8-)

Rubens were good. However, the chips that came with them seemed a bit stale. The server was pleasant and efficient. It was a busy Saturday evening, so the noise level was very high. It was hard to hear each other talk. I was pleased that the manager took time to say hello and talk with us a few minutes. Overall, we enjoyed our food and time in the restaurant. Looking forward to a visit in the future!

It was ok. There was plenty of seating. No problem getting seated or making a reservation. The waitress was attentive and took care of us promptly. But the food was extremely bland and lackluster... we had burgers ... not sure how you can make a burger so nondescript. Even the one you cook at home on the grill had more flavor. Just odd.
We have been to Stonewood Ale many times. Always good food and great service.
Overall it's a great experience. My wife and I have been here many times and it's never a disappointment. Great food, drinks and service. You have to get the freckles and the pretzel appetizers.

Not enough parking. Food was ok, but there are far better options in the area for the same price and similar atmosphere.

Food was great but the service not so much. Different food options as well as great sandwiches and dinners.
Great food, service and overall atmosphere. Ask for Talia or Jessica, they are both outstanding and very customer focused. And Bradley the manager always makes sure you are completely satisfied.

Service was excellent
Beer can chicken and ribs were tender, moist, taste, and plentiful. Salmon was good too. Very friendly and attentive service too.
Good food, comfort food, reasonable prices, casual, good for families, great service, friendly staff. Would definitely recommend.
Very nice laid back restaurant. Had the Bbq Chicken Salad and will definitely order again.
