About Stonewood Ale House
StoneWood Ale House is the perfect balance between a classic restaurant and a great bar. Since we are independently owned, we are one of the few restaurants that still believes in that “personal touch”. Our guests love the warm stone fireplaces and cozy booth seating. They love the smell of our wood fire grill. They love our large 80 item menu filled with flavorful Pot Roast, Meat Loaf, Wood Fired Specialties, Seafood & Pasta and our famous Ale House Burgers. Our menu items have won many awards in Schaumburg. We pride ourselves on having the coldest draft beer possible, served at an icy 31.5 °F! And what we pride ourselves on the most is the personal care and commitment that our guests have come to expect truly making StoneWood Ale House the place to be.

Stonewood Ale House Ratings and Reviews
Gave 3 for service but this DOES NOT reflect on the server, only the front of the house. Hostess was not well equipped. Was the only person running tables even though there was another gentleman hovering there--as busy as this place was on a Saturday night, there NEEDED to be at LEAST 2 people running the front----she did the best she could, but when you have to check people in, seat people, and direct people around, you get stretched. This was Sat 1/20/18 at around 7:15
Seating was tight and did not fit our party comfortably. Waiter smelled like BO and never asked us if we wanted refills on any of our drinks . He wasn’t overwhelmed with too many tables- just acted like he didn’t want to do his job- overall just really poor service !! With all the other choices in the Schaumburg area I would go anywhere else but here next time.
My husband and I came here for New Years Eve. We had reservations and were sat right away which was nice! The French onion soup is INCREDIBLE, as well as the mozzarella sticks! I read some things about chicken being dry and my quesadillas definitely were. The waitress was nice, but seemed distracted. Drinks were pricey, but weren’t watered down. We will definitely be back again!
We arrived at the restaurant. We had booked through open table. To which the girl at the check in counter didn't mark our name off so we later got an emails from open table saying we were a no show (which clearly we were)
There was no wait to get in to get a table which is why she was careless to check us in.
We were seated right away to our table and waited 20 mins and still no waiter showed or took drink orders - nothing. To which we decided to walk out. It wasn't busy and we could see the check in counter nobody came or left in that time.
We left and the girls said "thankyou and have a good night" to which we replied "nobody came to our table to serve us we are leaving" and the girls said nothing not even a sorry. One of the girls just dropped her jaw. The girls were not registering that we had just recently walked in or anything. Disappointed as we have never been to that restaurant before and first impressions are so important - we will never return there again.
I was looking for a place to eat to take my elderly parents in and my teens. I was attracted to this place for its proximity to the mall and the varied menu, with reasonable prices. The men enjoyed the beer and the ladies enjoyed their wine. The food portions are very generous so there is no need to order the salad or soup which is al a carte. We all enjoyed what we ordered which was from the Favorites menu. The beer can chicken and meatloaf were especially tasty, with the exception the steak sandwich was was only so-so.
Our server, 207 Melissa, was very attentive. When our food was served she followed up to make sure we were satisfied. When my sister said her shrimp were hot and the fries were cold. She whisked them away and brought her fresh hot fries. The issue was handled immediately. Great service and good food with friends.
