StoneWood Ale House is the perfect balance between a classic restaurant and a great bar. Since we are independently owned, we are one of the few restaurants that still believes in that “personal touch”. Our guests love the warm stone fireplaces and cozy booth seating. They love the smell of our wood fire grill. They love our large 80 item menu filled with flavorful Pot Roast, Meat Loaf, Wood Fired Specialties, Seafood & Pasta and our famous Ale House Burgers. Our menu items have won many awards in Schaumburg. We pride ourselves on having the coldest draft beer possible, served at an icy 31.5 °F! And what we pride ourselves on the most is the personal care and commitment that our guests have come to expect truly making StoneWood Ale House the place to be.

Stonewood Ale House Ratings and Reviews
Met couples for birthday dinner. Casual and cozy ambience was perfect. Good beer and cocktail options. Food was great. Burgers and French onion soup lived up to expectations and friends enjoyed fried shrimp dinners and loved them.
Jess was our wonderful server. She was friendly and helpful.
Ho-hum... Food was OK; no problems in particular but nothing to go back for. No uniqueness or WOW by even doing a product really well. Would call ribs to be subpar, both in size as well as quality.
Service was equally marginal. Went in for an early bite for dinner ; place is low volume as you would expect. Took 5 minutes before anyone came by the table.... Even then, didn't get a 'sorry' and can't say the server was engaging at all.
For the price, look elsewhere....
Hostess and our server were fantastic. Incredibly polite, treated us well. Server was quick and efficient, always on point with filling our drinks and offering suggestions when we couldn't decide. But the food was just not good. Super greasy burger, cold, limp fries. Brownie for dessert was both dry and gummy. I also didn't think the menu offered a lot of variety. My friend liked her meal (fish tacos). I would not return without an upgrade to the menu, which is too bad bc the service truly was amazing.
We Had a great time. Tried the jumbalya (?). Delish. Hearty, flavorful and spicy. Wish it had seafood but the kind waitress said next time I can have shrimp added to it for next time. And believe me, there will be a next time. also HAD THE nachos. It is a neat idea that each chip is individualy topped. Means there is something good in every bite.
Food = Awesome Service = Top Notch Cleanliness = Like a whistle
Love the way they do nachos here! Instead of pile of chips with everything dumped on top, they put chicken and cheese on individual chips and then you can add the extras yourself-salsa, fresh jalapeño, lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, and guacamole. You never get to the middle of a pile with nothing but chips left because every chip is important!
We enjoyed good food and had a wonderful evening catching up with some old friends ~ our waitress understood we weren't in a rush, but "checked in" regularly to see if we needed anything. She mentioned that small samples of beer were available, if we wanted to try something unfamiliar before ordering full glasses, which was great. The one beverage we wish their drink menu included, at least during summer months, would be red sangria. It would also have been nicer if they had an outdoor table seating area, but the only way it can be done is probably by reducing the parking lot size, which we realize isn't likely. We look forward to returning again, regardless.
Had a 10pm arrival into Phase and needed a dinner place. This fit the bill perfectly! Kitchen open until 1am Sun- Thurs, and 2am Fri, Sat. Great food! They just added an onion dip with their homemade chips. Highly recommend Both! All their food is very good, and portions are generous.
