The food is very tasty and beautifully presented. They serve all Colorado-sourced food. It was very busy when we were there, so servers were spread a bit thin but it was not a big deal. The only thing I would like to see is a better variety of wines by-the-glass.

Definite growing pains... bartender on staff the day we were there was struggling, just lack of experience/knowledge (they weren't busy). Took 3 tries to get a vodka martini, up with olives correct. Food was okay. Will try again, but will be waiting a while before we return.

Enjoyed the wonderful entertainment of Danette Hollowell & the Old Souls last evening. Able to enjoy Happy Hour cocktails & several shareable small plates. Nice addition to the Steamboat dining scene.Great way to start the summer!

We came to Stonewall for our anniversary and it was a perfect place to celebrate. The restaurant was quiet and the staff were very sweet and accommodating. The food was delicious especially the pig wings, duck & elk tostadas and the Bratty Lil Lamb starters. Our entrees were great too and we left stuffed. All in all there happy hour menu is wonderfully priced and we will definitely be coming back soon!

A very good first experience. The leek and potato soup was delicious but could have been warmer. The bacon rolled dates were delicious too. Our server was very attentive and friendly. Over all the ambiance, the ability to have a good conversation and the excellent food made for a great evening.

Very friendly and efficient staff. Good was very good with nice selection. Remodel has made the atmosphere much warmer. Stonewall will become a regular on our list as we are residents!

Jury is out, for sure. We went on Sunday-chef did not come in and so menu was cut down to small sharing plates. Was up for a good sized dinner, but it was not to be. Like the lightened up interior. The plates, however, are metal and constantly spun around on the table. We put napkins underneath to stop the plates from spinning. I enjoyed the duck tacos but, strangely, the studded mushrooms were composed of three large ones and two nearly invisible ones. Don’t think a chef would have let that get out of the kitchen. We heard good things, so when the chef returns, we’ll give it another shot, but last night was not great.

for dining on their 3rd night open, we had an enjoyable experience. The staff was very attentive and tried to be accommodating in many ways. One way that was lacking was in their understanding of gluten-free items and overall relying on a menu that was not clear in the gluten-free options. food was tasty but nothing outstanding....wanted to try to lamb lollies, but was told there were breadcrumbs on the lamb (?????) so could not order. Noise level was through the roof, so looking forward to dining outside when the weather allows. Overall a pleasant experience, mostly due to the staff, and I hope Stonewall pulls through as we need a good go-to place east of town and not right on the mountain.

This place has promise but they are still suffering birth pains. The timing of everything is still off and the food erratic. We were there on 3/16 (their second or third day). We may give them another look but it will be in a couple of months or so.
