Opened in August 2013, Stoneacre Pantry was a neighborhood restaurant focused on sustainability and a positive relationship with our local environment. We brought these same values to our newest restaurant in Washington Square in September 2017. Our menu is small, seasonal, and supports nearby farms and fishermen with fish from nearby waters and meats from local farms that raise their animals humanely. The wine list highlights small producers from France.

Stoneacre really upgraded this place from what it used to be. It is also unique in Newport, but still fits in nicely to the high end dining that is available in a great town.
We went for the 3 course $35 special on Monday. It was a memorable meal with a wonderful bottle of wine at half price. The service was fantastic and the restaurant itself is one of the most We went for the 3 course $35 special on Monday when the price of a bottle of wine ones in all of Newport. We felt save despite the COVID danger because the distance between tables as so large and well ventilated.
We had the lobster risotto and it had too much fennel. Fennel is supposed to add flavor, but it overwhelmed the dish. I would not recommend.
As a brasserie, I would have enjoyed a charcuterie, cheese plate on the appetizer menu.
I absolutely adore this restaurant, without a doubt one of the best in RI! I love how each section of the restaurant gives a totally different vibe and atmosphere, that all flow beautifully together while also serving up some of the best, freshest, locally sourced and inviting drink and food menus. Every dish I have ever had has been absolutely stunning and equally delicious. I love this spot for a date night, ladies night, and family night..... my 6 year old son really enjoys the art work in the men's bathroom...had to "check the plumbing" multiple times ;) Love this place and can't wait to see it back in all of it's pre-Covid glory, which is why I will continue to frequent and support!
We started a family tradition a few years back, celebrating my husband's birthday with a quiet and delicious meal in January at Stone Acre. This year the tradition continued and it was as good and satisfying as ever. Food is wonderful....smoked duck was flavorful and tender. The fried chicken was crunchy, juicy, and tender. Starters included the beet salad, beets were red and pink cooked just right...tender/firm. The french onion soup was also delicious, cheese melted to perfection.
Service was attentive without being too much, and the spacing was appropriate. We felt very safe.
Looking forward to returning for another dinner soon
The place was very cute and the food was excellent. However, I think it’s super important to tell customers if they’re ordering a dirty martini that they use a purple olive juice. It was a big shock and something I’ve never seen before.
Great spot for brunch. A rad over priced but it's newport and other places are just as expensive for food that is not as tasty. The food was really good.
This was a disappointing experience from start to finish. We had to wait 20 minutes after our reservation time, with no apology. The drinks were delivered incorrectly, and the entrees (5 of them) were all terrible. Food that wasn’t cooked, or simply tasted badly. We brought it to our waiter’s attention, but nothing was done. Will never go back.
New Years Eve
Food was very average and came out cold. The waiter was overwhelmed. The restaurant need more staff. Expensive, and to be honest, disappointed with the whole experience
Overpriced; $28 for pasta. Lovely decor. Mediocre service. Waiter kept pestering us even though we said we wanted to take it slowly (there were plenty of open tables, so it wasn’t a matter of needing the table).
Try the cauliflower for appetizer, very tasty ....... !
Food was great. Nice experience. Will be back soon.
Our absolute favorite spot. Our Vegan was happy as were the meat eaters!
Exceptional experience the whole way through!
Absolutely wonderful spot! It was my first time there. A small group of us went to brunch to celebrate my 50th bday. The food, service, atmosphere, and even music were all fantastic. We'll definitely be back.
Fantastic on all points!
Beautiful restaurant, delicious food well presented. Great service and the restaurant is big, open and airy and felt very safe. Will be going back soon, very "European". Had the beef bourguignon, onion soup and very nice apple tart. Expensive wine list. Highly recommend.
Beautiful place, great food. The server was on point and made sure my Negroni was made the way I was requesting it. A major Thank You for that.
Fresh, well presented, delicious, service was warm, friendly and prompt. The dinning room is spacious and lovely, yet not loud. Great!
It was lovely!
love the wine list
food is often a bit unusual and tasty
Beautiful venue, friendly service, and outstanding food as always.
Great night spot in Newport. Trendy, inventive food well presented, nice location.
Food was absolutely delicious with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Many seating options.Service was impressive! Found my new favorite place in Newport.
Wonderful food, beautiful setting and amazing service!
I dined alone. Was seated promptly. I asked for recommendations and was not disappointed! I loved the duck confit app .... could have planned on that being my dinner! Perfect with a dry cava. Loved the French onion soup which was my main course (?). Deep and rich the soup had all the depth you want in a soup on a cold night, with the subtle overtures of flavor from the toast and greyuere. Would absolutely go again... and bring friends.
We always enjoy a meal at Stoneacre and we eat there frequently. This time one plate was excellent, but one was disappointing (by the high standards we have for their food.) The service and ambiance was, as always, very good.
Overall wonderful!
Delicious, flavorful! Great drinks and friendly staff.
Right now with spaced out seating it’s relaxing and quiet, especially on this Friday night we were able to relax. It was a pleasure to eat at this now staple for years to come I can see it now. There’s a tremendous pride in the staff and I hope they know how appreciated they truly are. Look forward to going back on our next visit for sure.
Our server Mackenzie was a delight! She was informative and attentive.
I ordered the same brunch meal a number of times. It wasn’t as good this time. Not sure why. It was missing something. Some Flavoring.
Very noisy inside there today, with many people.
Very Good overall experience. Service was excellent.
always a good experience at Stoneacre; this visit no different
Very lovely dinner spot - service was quick and efficient, and felt very safe dining indoors with plenty of distance (and tables!) btw ours and the other diners. Highly recommend the moules frites, the kale salad, and beet salad
Beautiful. A must do in Newport
This was our first time at Stoneacre. The food was outstanding and the service was excellent. We will definitely be dining there again.
Cool looking restaurant that’s about it. My wife had the the stuffed fish and I had prime rib. Both our dish were cold. Our waiter never ask how our food was he pretty much gave us the cold shoulder the whole time we were there. The manger walked by our table several times he also never stopped in to ask how things were going. Only positive thing I have to say about this place is the young gentlemen who brought out my espresso (because our waiter forgot) quickly when clearing off the table he was awesome respectful young man. First and last time we will visit. Should’ve listened to the reviews on TripAdvisor!
Sat at the bar. Bartender was attentive but not over bearing. Helpful with suggestions. Food was delicious.
