Fun place with good food and drinks!
Parmesan Fries were perfect. House salad just right size. Good rose. The waiter was full of attitude and compromised the entire experience.
The lights in the ceiling were way too bright; more like spotlights. I think I learned that horseradish and potatoes don’t work well together. The lava cake was lame.
My burger and Truffle Fries were incredible, highly recommend. My friend had the pork chop and it was a bit dry. The house Chardonnay is excellent. Service was excellent and the ambience was casual and nice.
Came with my family to brunch on Sunday. Our waitress was amazing. So friendly and efficient.
We will be back
Our server was wonderful but the food lacked a lot of flavor. We tried 5 different things and nothing had seasoning on it. The domestic beer was a good price and I will say the garlic cheese curds were the best thing we had. I was glad to try it but I will not be returning for any of the entree's. I would give the appetizers another go though.
Something different!! Not your every day corner bar and eatery. Really enjoyed the different items on the menu and was fun to share with everyone at the table. Loved the "stone turtle" inside the ice cube if you get a mixed drink!
Bar is gorgeous. If you like bourbon, rye, or scotch there’s a large selection. Food was very good. Prices are a bit high for the area but it is an upscale establishment.
Everything was delicious. I had the short rib with polenta. Wonderful. Rib was a little fatty but it was so dark I couldn’t see it so I just ate it anyway. Don’t tell my cholesterol.
Other guests enjoyed the salmon and the gnocchi. Servers were polite and friendly. And the drinks with little turtles, frozen into the ice cubes are a fun touch. We will be back.
Waited over 30 min past reservation to be sat. Service and food quality were average, at best.
Went for my daughters birthday and had a great time. Food was great and we all thought the ambience was perfect
Great environment, good draft beer selection. Menu isn't overwhelming and still has a great variety. Every dish we had (5 of us) was extremely well prepared! Definitely will be going back.
We have been to Stone Turtle twice and will be back with more friends. The ambience (and warmth) in the bar is better than dining area. The food is great and we ended up with all appetizers and desserts so we could share for the 3 of us. The pork belly and cashews is a unique dish that brought us back after the first visit. The second visit as the pork overcooked with a burned flavor. We were having so much fun I did not complain, but would mention next time. The drinks are great and reasonable. The mac and cheese is enough for 3-4 to share and outstanding. So glad we weren't too full to have the cheesecake! It was wonderfully dense and rich with those wonderful cherries on top. GO TO STONE TURTLE!
Delicious. I will definitely be back! The Bloody Mary was the only thing that needed just a slight improvement.
Loved this place! If you want mood lighting, a cozy dinning experience, professional yet fun staff, deliciously flavorful food-clearly made with love... then this is your spot!
Because of the snow this evening, we arrived for our reservation 15 minutes late. Our table of 6 ordered drinks, appetizers, and entrees. We were at our table for 2.5 hours and then before we could finish our last round, we were told we needed to give up our table and finish in the bar. I have NEVER been asked/told to leave a table before we finished. Especially since we spent over $300!!! When we spoke to the owner (see pic) about having to move before finishing, he mentioned that he didn't have to "forcibly remove" us to move, like we should have been thankful for that. We were never told that there was a limit to how long we could seat and eat. Never coming back again!
A mixed bag. If we had left after the first course this would have been a rave review, but things went downhill after that. We went for Valentines Day—they offered a three course menus which had a good variety of courses. The appetizers were excellent. The entries, however, were ok but nothing exceptional—and they were served when we were only half way through the first course. So, they sat on the table getting cold while we finished our appetizers. Desert took forever, and it took them 4 tries to get it right.
We will probably give it another try on a night when we can order from the regular menu—the food is interesting and shows some promise. But this was a less than satisfactory first try.
Wonderful experience with excellent service and equally good food. The staff made us feel like we were the most important customers in the restaurant!
This is one of our fav date night places. The pork and steak are delicious, but the buratto cheese appetizer is my absolute favorite! And don’t forget to get a smoked bourbon!
Food hadn’t gotten great reviews from friends, but I had the pork chop and it was delicious. Drink menu was awesome.
Great food and drinks.
Too loud. Food was good but won’t go back until they solve for the noise level. Also the big window is not really clean and shows outside neon lights and white light at night. It doesn’t fit the vibe of the restaurant.
Our server and bartender were excellent. We love the food —-great ambiance
My new go to spot!! I have tried several items on the menu and have NOT been disappointed.
We had brunch before going to Powell Hall. Love Stone Turtle but hate hassle of finding place to park.
The food was excellent. It has a really cool bar. Our waitress was fantastic. We will definitely be back
My mom and I went for brunch. I had the Benedict and it was pretty good. A bit salty but I like salt. My mom had the chicken and waffles. That was not impressive to me. A waffle with some friend chicken tenders was nothing special. The bar looked fun. I feel like this would be great for a cocktail.
Great Ambiance. Fantastic brunch with the best omelette I've had in a long time. Plus great hot rum drink on a cold day! Highly recommended! Handled our large group of 6 with ease.
Delicious food, coffee, and atmosphere! 👌
Great food, fun place, excellent server! Our group was very happy with this choice!
The food and service were excellent. We had vegetarians and low-carb dieters at our table, and everyone was happy with their meals.
Tank is so warm, fun and friendly. He was open the day after “snowmaggedon” when so many others weren’t who is primarily why we tried it. His menu is not the run of the milk burger joint. The Mac n cheese is a game changer! Refreshing and unique cocktails. He does things that make you notice. We’ll be back for sure
First date in the middle of the snow storm. Great time
We went to celebrate Stone Turtles 1st anniversary.
May be the best burger in St. Louis. Awesome cocktails.
This was our first visit. The menu was different, the food was excellent and hot! The drinks were great, everyone including the owner, were very friendly. Already recommended this place to friends. Great atmosphere!
A good neighborhood place. Greeter was just short of rude.
We tried Stone Turtle after the Brewey Lights tour. Had a wonderful dinner in a cozy’ space. Food was great and service even better. Had a great time!
Anastasia was great. All 6 of us really enjoyed the food and drink.
Very nice ambiance. Service was excellent. Food was wonderful. I had the mac and cheese. It was great. The Pommes Frite were also very good.
