My first time at this restaurant. The server was sweet. I ordered a main course which came with 1 side. I opted for the grilled salmon special with truffle mashed potatoes. I ordered an additional side of sauteed snap peas. My dining companion had the exact same thing and felt the same way about the meal. I asked if the salmon was wild or farmed, the server said farmed. I ordered it anyway but I prefer the wild. The salmon was tasty enough but the portion was minuscule. The potatoes were fine but also, a tiny portion. The snap peas were over cooked and stringy. Basically inedible. The server asked how meal was and we told her how tiny the fish serving was. She acknowledged it and said something about the price and quality. Farmed salmon is crazy inexpensive so, yeah... OK. She was sweet but lacked knowledge. PS... We did not get any bread at our table so I basically went home hungry.
Stone Park is my go to Park Slope Restaurant. It never disappoints. Besides good food, attentive service and a fun space; it has what many other restaurants cannot seem to be able to do much of. Be consistent. I know if that if the cod is still on the menu and I order it, it will taste exactly like it did when I last ate it there. I like that as much as I like experimenting with the new things on their menu. Keep it up guys!
overall experience was excellent, great wait staff and took care of my wife and surprised her for her birthday with a glass of wine and piece of desert
Food does tend to have salt overused and need to drink a lot of water, maybe hold back a bit on the salt next time
We had dinner before attending a concert at Barclays which we mentioned upon arrival. Waitress made sure that appetizers, dinner and dessert were paced to ensure our departure in time to make the show. We had halibut and skirt steak, both of which I believe were specials and both were great. Highly recommend food and service.
Our teenage daughter had tickets to a concert at the Barclay's Center, so my husband and I decided to make a date night out of dropping her off and waiting for the show to end. We decided to try Stone Park Cafe after reading the great reviews and were not at all disappointed. Everything we tried was exceptional, from the cocktails and wine through dessert. Definitely a great option when going to Barclays, or as a destination trip for a nice meal.
I love this place and think their brunch is killer. Best omelets and really fresh quality ingredients. Home made English muffins are so buttery and light. Good dinners too but brunch is really the meal I recommend this place for.
Consistently A+. Great neighborhood spot serving excellent food. Super service, lovely cocktails, really delicious food.
We loved this restaurant. Food was delicious and service was great. Fun local place. Highly recommend.
Stone Park never disappoints! Their farm market lunch menu are such an incredible good deal and the flavones are always perfectly blended making the best possible use of local ingredients!
Food consistently excellent & creative.
Best ice cream around
Delicious as always with wonderful service and outdoor seating on a beautiful night. All of our food and dessert was spectacular (only exception was the caprese salad which didn't have wonderful tomatoes). Thank you for a great dinner!
Never disappointing. One of our favorite places for lunch.
One of our favorite places in the neighborhood. They have great cocktails. If I could mainline the Four Roses Manhattan, I would. Food is always excellent. I had a delicious Caesar salad with real anchovies and the duck breast for my entree. Both super tasty! We also split a pistachio frozen nougat desssrt, which was creamy and delicious. Nice, friendly service.
A bit pricey for the serving sizes, but all the food is always delicious.
We had a wonderful meal at Stone Park Cafe! The watermelon feta salad, cod & clam special, mushroom raviolini, and sausage & broccoli rabe pasta were so delicious and beautifully presented. Our wait person Cait was lovely - warm, knowledgable, seemed to genuinely care about our happiness with our meal and our experience there. Highly recommended for a regular night out or a special occasion!
I took my brother here for his birthday dinner early on Sunday evening. Staff was attentive and the food was very good. The options for wine by the glass were a bit limited. The Swiss chard raviolini was absolutely delicious and I was happy to have a half-order available. My brother liked his hamburger and accompaniments. The waiters put a candle and "Happy Birthday" plaque on his ice cream, and looked like they were about to sing but didn't, which was fine with us (maybe they correctly read our body language.) I would go back. A few more vegetarian options would be nice.
Their scallops are always delicious. This time the Caesar salad is saggy and salty, what's going on?
The food was very tasty and the staff very pleasant. They accommodated my last-minute delay of 30 minutes due to a work conflict. However, I had made a note in the reservation that it was for my boyfriend's birthday and it was not acknowledged by the staff. I even mentioned it was his birthday to a staff member and they just said "happy birthday" to him. I thought that perhaps the restaurant did not celebrate birthdays; however, a table next to ours got cake with a candle and a birthday song, so that was not the case. I felt bad that his birthday was not similarly celebrated but at least the food was good! A bit pricey, though.
Excellence as usual.
Outdoor waiter is the best in park slope
Stone park has been a favorite of mine for sometime. I first went to Saturday brunch which was awesome. I have been back several time and this visit was a birthday gift.
The overall experience this time seem less attentive and a little tired.
We had an early reservation but even so the service was spotty. Friendly but with gaps in attention such as a 10 min wait for the wine I ordered when we sat.
The scallops and bone marrow tacos were truly awesome but my such while well cooked (MR) was uninspired and I had to ask for sufficient sauce which was the best part. My other guests ordered the miso salmon which was excessively salty and drowned in dashi although that soaked up the quinoa.
2 appetizer and 3 entree plus a medium price ( a excellent Pinot noir) for $251 plus tip did not add up to great value or an memorable birthday although the evening was saved by incrediable gelato just across the street. Definitely a place to go when your in the area (or worth driving too just for the ice cream)
With so many excellent restaurant on 5th Ave Aline I doubt I will be back unless the creativity kicks up and the service becomes more focused
Great restaurant but either it was a bad night or the place is getting a little tired
Truly enjoyed dinner. Great food, great service. We'll be back.
Very pleasant, all dishes in party of 4, including appetizers, were very good, good wine list.
I left a longer review on yelp so I will keep this one short - the food, ambience, and service were all impeccable. My wife and I are looking forward to going back.
Never disappoints. Beautiful night dining al fresco. Food consistently excellent, service top notch, and a reasonably-priced wine list. Perfect neighborhood spot.
Limited menu bu the items on it were great! The short rib slider was fantastic as was the black ink squid with the scallops.
Hadn't been back for a few years but was pleasantly surprised by the ambience, service and quality of food. Will be back!
The food was delicious. Everyone enjoyed their dinners. The service was great. Expensive, so we're only going for special occasions, but we'd be more than happy to go back.
Food is very good. As is the service. Very creative cuisine. Bone marrow tacos. Squid ink tagliatelle both great. Service first class. It is pricey and portions a little light. I say go but save for special occasions
Hands-down, one of our all-time favorite restaurants. We have never I mean NEVER been disappointed with the menu, cocktails, service, wine list, or ambiance. The entire staff is knowledgeable, friendly, attentive, and professional. We've celebrated birthdays, anniversaries, Valentine's day, and just any day ending in d-a-y at Stone Park and each time they make it a special experience. Really can't
Heap enough praise. Except to say that we imagine this is what fine dining will be like in heaven...
I've been to Stone Park Cafe in the evening and sometimes felt that it was too warm and too loud (I always try to eat outside to escape both). This was my first time there at a weekday lunch--it was a business meeting--and I loved it. It was not busy at all, the noise level was great for conversation, and it felt cool and luxurious. I had the Cobb salad and a coconut sorbet--I wish I could eat there every day.
Robert, Tim and the entire crew at Stone Park make every meal feel like a special occasion!
My sons birthday
I come here fairly regularly, not that the staff bothers to notice. This time, after we were seated there was a 20 minute wait while no one asked if we'd even like a drink. Finally I flagged down a passing staff member and ordered drinks. He made no apology for our waiter. Our meal was eventually overseen by two different women, getting divided attention. Food was great, but service? Come on, Stone Park! For my $200 and 25% tip, I'd like to be treated better!
Good and clean food . Service is not always the best.
Wonderful, as per usual! Thanks for having us - we always love the great food and service.
Great good and great service as always.
Stone Park Cafe came highly recommended which might have built up expectations but I thought the food was bland and the portions on the small side. I dine regularly in Brooklyn and would go back to all the other places but not SPC.
The service is consistently bad. We waited for 10 minutes to get water and menus, then another 20-25 before someone took our order. We continue to eat at this establishment because of their outside seating. For dinner their only decent entree is their ravolini. It's surprising because their brunch is delicious! The biscuits & gravy and the short rib hash are our favorites. If you go and you're not outside, sit at the bar... much better service. Also their local made hot sauce it yummy!
My friends and I meet all over , I chose Stone Park. Lunch was excellent. Good choices for three woman who watch every bite.
