Family came in from out of town. We ordered a variety of cocktails and many different menu items. Everything was superb. The waiter didn’t bat an eye at specific cocktail requests. Also the space between tables is unusually ample for Brooklyn. Lovely experience.

Loved as always for a nice dinner out. It was Passover, so I did a brisket special and my wife and I shared a salad and latkes to start. She did the scallops as usual, again great as always.

I love this place. Not fussy, not overpriced, food is delicious, cocktails are just perfect and, above all, the service is great. Wait staff are competent, friendly but not overbearing. No wonder it's so popular.

Great Fish! Great Burgers! Great Cocktails! Previously free bread now $10. No problem except we were served 6 tiny 2" slices (for a table of 5) with a beautiful crock of garlic/shallot butter. Needless to say the garlic butter was nearly full and swept off the table without being asked if we wanted more bread. That was typical of service. Hardly any interaction with servers... food removed quickly without asking. Table not scraped before desert. Water not refilled. I had to look for the server though out the evening. Not what I'd expect from a fine dining experience. Maybe they were having an off day. I hope so. I've loved this place for years. Will be back but hoping it will be a better experience.

Had a solo dinner at 5 PM on a Thursday evening. Had the shaved kale salad, lamb, chops, and chocolate bread pudding. Also had the lavender cocktail and two glasses of wine. Everything was delicious.

Delicious as always - our favorite restaurant in Park Slope. I had a pasta special with broccoli rabe and their house made fennel / hot pepper sausage, my wife had the scallops and mussels over risotto entree - both were excellent. Impressive wine list and their seasonal cocktails are always good.

Started with the endive salad which was a perfect balance of endive and other leaves, and fruit/cranberry and other berries, and fat pistachios and cheese. Then the scallops risotto was wonderful with plump just-toasted scallops. Friends loved the cherry jubilee cocktail, and I savored the garnacha--not too dry or fruity, just right.

SPC is quite good! Based on the recent experience of my social group, I grade it "A-". The ambience is great (particularly the front corner table) and the service is excellent (particular kudos to Mike ...) It's already popular (justifiably so), so make sure you have a reservation in advance of your preferred date/time. Some specifics ... The special of the evening that I had (brisket) was quite excellent! On the other hand, if you order the octopus appetizer, ask that it not be over-cooked/chewy (I love octopus and I get particular.) If you order the gnocchi with oxtail, ask that the "reduction" or sauce be included to optimize the flavor of the dish as a whole. The menu has tantalizing descriptions of each dish -- and drink. It is imperative that SPC always fulfill the taste expectations that the diner will have after reading those descriptions or after hearing them from the waiter. One member of our party noted that, while the food is always very good, the identity of the night's chef seems to determine whether the food is very good or great.

They had reservations slots open for when they close the kitchen. If you know your kitchen close at 9PM don’t have an 8:45PM slot. We felt rushed. This changed the mood and experience
