Stone Park Cafe
Very pleasant but you have not changed your menu for years. Therefore, kind of boring.
The ambiance was perfect for a romantic date night. We started with the cauliflower soup, which was delicious and well-balanced, then ordered the whole branzino fish which was cooked to perfection. Service was friendly and just the right balance of attentiveness without being overbearing. The cocktail menu offers a lot of options - would definitely recommend the "Smoke and Flowers" if you're into mezcal.
Always a favorite neighborhood spot. Occasion or no occasion we always feel home her.
Nothing terrible, but nothing memorable.
Stone Park is a neighborhood classic and still is getting better with age.
Love the food, so fresh and tasty
Our server was delightful. Food was on point, as always.
Consistently the best restaurant in Park Slope.
Great food, good service. We were there on a Friday night, reservation at 7:30 and even though we stayed and talked for 3 hours, never felt rushed and the wait staff was very attentive. It’s a very cozy, relatively quiet restaurant. We were looking specifically for a quiet place to be able to talk. It was noisy during the busy time, but quieted as the crowd thinned, the music was quiet in the background.
This is a great neighborhood place and one of our favorites. We always expect the food to be first-rate and we are never disappointed. We are greeted like old friends whenever we show up, which is a lovely feeling. This is definitely in our Pantheon of Special Occasion Restaurants.
Stone Park never disappoints, my all time favorite!
Service was impeccable, and the salmon salad was fresh and tasty. Can't wait to go back and try some of the other offerings. A lovely lunch experience!
We had a great table thanks to our reservation. The server was outstanding and quite knowledgeable. The Rose wine was great for a warm summer evening and the dinners were excellent with great presentation and reflection of a chef that is quite accomplished.
Always a pleasure to dine here. Food is fresh and modern without being fussy or overworked. Service is always attentive and pleasant. The entire dining experience is first-rate.
Stone Park is my go-to restaurant in Park Slope when dining with family and friends. It can get busy on weekends, especially for brunch, so make sure to reserve a table in advance. You won’t be disappointed.
This is our neighborhood favorite! The specials are always outstanding.
By far my favorite restaurant!
New to the neighborhood and loved this place. Great apps and specials, like the buttery tomato soup and yummy scallops with beurre blanc. Lovely service in a welcoming space. We’ll be back!
Started with the grilled pizza and had the grilled branzino as my entree. The food and service were very good as usual.
My wife and I celebrated her birthday and the host was kind enough to arrange a dessert with a candle for her. Great food and excellent service.
Hosting family in town who’re visiting NYC for the first time. We trusted SPC to give us a great first-night dinner for our family and they delivered beyond expectation. Thank you so much.
I love stone park. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. I just wish they took brunch reservations on weekends!
The food is fresh and delicious; the portions are tiny. There is nothing particularly inventive about the way the dishes are prepared, however, and the wine list is not particularly special. The wait staff is extremely helpful. They, and the lovely simplicity of the bar, and two rooms, make the restaurant. The music is a bit too loud and does not fit the overall ambiance. Good food should be accompanied by good music, n'est pas? BTW: my lunch experiences have always been better than my dinner experiences at SPC. Curious.
Nice place. Good quality food. Not very crowded on a summer Sunday.
A little pricey, but well worth it! Everyone loved the daily special pizza appetizer, main courses, and desserts! The hanger steak frites and chocolate brioche pudding were particular favorites!
Waitress was sensitive to our time schedule, food was very good!
Still a go-to for upscale dining in the neighborhood. Consistently good. Wife’s Branzino was perfect. My salmon was also quite good, though portion somewhat small for the price. Quality service and lovely outdoor tables round out a fine summer evening.
Excellent new American fare
Excellent, very fresh food. Pleasant service. And surprisingly reasonable tab for the quality of the meal. One of the best restaurants in the area.
Our evening was lovely as always, never disappoints!
Always an awesome dining experience. The ambiance is perfect for either a date or small celebration. Waiters perfectly attentive, but not intrusive and food delicious.
Wonderful service and great food!
I would definitely go back again!!!
Great dinner here on a packed Saturday night. A small cozy place with a friendly neighborhood vibe and a neat crowd of families and couples. Host and service were very accommodating. Drink choices were fun, their warm bread was delicious and our steak frites and salmon were perfectly cooked—we literally cleaned our plates. Definitely one of my favorite neighborhood meals in Brooklyn. Also, I must say again how great the staff were. A+!!!!
Delightful as always! Never disappoints!! Food is constantly great!!!
A few months ago we had a wonderful scallop special that lived up to its name and then some. We have returned two times since then, once to a less overwhelming serving and just last week to a very poor showing all around. We asked if your whole branzino could be filleted / deboned and were told it would not be a problem. The fish was split but filled with bones too large to be called digestible. It was presented with little imagination, no sauce, had little flavor, and was a major disappointment for $30. Not to be outdone was your shrimp scampi linguini which was served... with angel hair. The small portion sat in a pond of butter which overwhelmed the taste. We mentioned both issues to our waitress who said she'd tell the manager and did not hear back from either person. A truly disappointing meal in all regards. We know you can do better.
Great food, excellent wine list, wonderful service. Good spot for a special dinner.
We went early with a baby and they were very attentive to our needs. Food and drinks were great.
Nice outdoor setting but loud street noise & extremely loud sirens made conversation difficult. Very long wait wait for ordered food and then wrong food came. over 30 min wait for order & then it was very ordinary. expensive, disappointing experience. won’t be returning.
A limited and slightly wacky menu makes this restaurant a risky choice. We found food that we liked, but it was with some difficulty. The server was wonderful.
Food is very good, service excellent, but portions are small and IMO somewhat overpriced.
Really excellent experience there – lovely room, lovely welcome, lovely service and wonderful food. The one complaint is too many interruptions to check on how we were doing interrupting our conversation each time.
