   Started with the endive salad which was a perfect balance of endive and other leaves, and fruit/cranberry and other berries, and fat pistachios and cheese. Then the scallops risotto was wonderful with plump just-toasted scallops. Friends loved the cherry jubilee cocktail, and I savored the garnacha--not too dry or fruity, just right.

   SPC is quite good! Based on the recent experience of my social group, I grade it "A-". The ambience is great (particularly the front corner table) and the service is excellent (particular kudos to Mike ...) It's already popular (justifiably so), so make sure you have a reservation in advance of your preferred date/time. Some specifics ... The special of the evening that I had (brisket) was quite excellent! On the other hand, if you order the octopus appetizer, ask that it not be over-cooked/chewy (I love octopus and I get particular.) If you order the gnocchi with oxtail, ask that the "reduction" or sauce be included to optimize the flavor of the dish as a whole. The menu has tantalizing descriptions of each dish -- and drink. It is imperative that SPC always fulfill the taste expectations that the diner will have after reading those descriptions or after hearing them from the waiter. One member of our party noted that, while the food is always very good, the identity of the night's chef seems to determine whether the food is very good or great.

   They had reservations slots open for when they close the kitchen. If you know your kitchen close at 9PM don’t have an 8:45PM slot. We felt rushed. This changed the mood and experience

    Beautiful room, excellent service and the best Bloody Mary. We had scallops and Hanger steak entrees, both delicious. Pistachio meringue dessert is unusual and always great. Will happily return.

    Stone Park Cafe has never failed us during the many times we have dined there. The menu is not extensive, especially if you order from the more limited prix fixe Market Menu. Not to worry, however, because the offerings at Stone Park are so well conceived, prepared and presented that even the pickiest of eaters will find a dish to order and enjoy. The service is excellent -- attentive but not intrusive.

    Love this restaurant! It’s a beautiful and always meticulously clean space. Lovely indoor and outdoor areas with attentive service and delicious food. My only disappointment was that the cod and vegetable dish that I ordered had so few veggies. Otherwise, great!

    Usually love this place but last night the meal was disappointing. The asparagus soup was very thin and watery and yielded little flavor. A salmon dish was lackluster given that the lemon beurre was neither buttery nor lemony and also very thin and runny, although to be fair the salmon itself was well-prepared. Service as always was spot-on and the outdoor seating across from the park is charming. I won’t give up on Stone Park… not yet. I just hope they tweak their kitchen and get back the quality and flavor in their food that they once excelled in.

    A neighborhood Park Slope restaurant. Nicely designed and has a very nice outside seating area. Waiters were attentive but not obtrusive. Food was delicious, nicely plated and well presented.

    We went here on a whim because we were in the neighborhood and they happened to have a reservation available. The service was very good and our food (we shared the pea salad and the hanger steak) was terrific. Reasonably priced in a relaxing and welcoming environment. Will absolutely be back.

    I went here for my birthday during a short visit (moved to CA over a decade ago) and remembered I really liked this restaurant. Tonight I ordered the best pork chop I’ve ever had and I’ve had many while dining out! The sweet pea salad was really good — nice and refreshing for a hot summer day. The place was small, yet quaint, with excellent service; attentive, but not intrusive. Drinks were great, too. I highly recommend making a stop for dinner here!

    We love it here and the service and food were lovely as expected. But it seems that the air conditioning was not working. The restaurant was very hot, nearly as hot as the 90 degree outdoor temp. It was nearly unbearable. Surprisingly the wait staff never mentioned, apologized or explained for this. It seemed quite strange. We were very excited to be dining with friends from out of the country so tried to ignore this but it was very difficult. Otherwise an outstanding meal. I personally had the market menu which was an incredible value for money

    We had a wonderful, casual Saturday evening dinner on the patio. The menu was good to begin with, but then they also offered several specials. The specialty cocktail hit the spot. Service was great.
