The food was very hit or miss, especially for the price.
Everything we tasted was delicious. The service was incredible too.
Mallory was an excellent server and made our meal special. Great selection of both well prepared seafood and other options. We had the medium seafood tower and cornbread, just the right amount for two. The birthday cake ice cream cones with confetti ice cream were cute and a nice way to cap off our dinner.
The posted prices and what I paid are dramatically different.
Our waiter Karl made the experience absolutely wonderful. Then staff well coordinated and we were attended to beautifully. Waters always full and cocktails never empty. Food was amazing.
good raw bar and seafood, good drinks, limited menu
Food was okay but overpriced. They did make some menu suggestions for alternatives for my picky son.
Food was great and the service was wonderful. We had a terrific evening! Thanks!
The four of us enjoyed our visit to Stoic & Genuine. We were greeted pleasantly, and seated right away. We sat on the banquette which looked ok, but not all that great comfort-wise. Our server was excellent, perfectly attentive without being around too much. The gin selection for a Martini was interesting, but lacked the old standbys like Bombay or Tanqueray... nice selection of craft gin if you like that sort of thing. The Granita "Sweater Weather" cocktail was delicious and interesting, it's made with shaved ice, so nice! We ordered the $95 seafood tower to begin with. Crab legs were tasty but light on portion. The oysters were excellent, and some nice sauces to go along. The shrimp were cooked just right, and seasoned well. The Hamachi sashimi was delicious but again, tiny portion.
We ordered more food, and were able to taste a lot of the menu, again, due to small portions. The only real complaint was pricy for the amount of food. Overall, we really enjoyed our evening there, compliments to everyone on the staff!
Amazing as usual! Never dissatisfied with the service or food.
One of the best restaurants in all of Colorado. Our server Carl was amazing and the food is phenominal.
We needed to take a quick trip to Denver and stumbled across this gem while looking for a great lunch spot. It is pricey, but highly recommend it. The food was all outstanding, service very attentive, and great and unique setting at Union Station. It was a gorgeous fall day and we sat outside. Oysters were great, as was the burger and the seafood bisque. Loved the salmon carpaccio - could have eaten multiple plates. Loved it!
Just returned from Portugal where fresh seafood reigns, and S&G was every bit as fresh and delicious but even more creative. Outstanding hamachi sashimi starter and the best salmon entree I’ve ever had…perfectly cooked medium rare over a rustic & crispy grain base. Excellent service as well. I’ve been coming to S&G on nearly every trip to Denver since they opened and I will keep coming back. As a side bar, I went to their sister restaurant, The Rioja, on this visit as well and it was equally outstanding. Bravo to the ownership/management team.
Excellent business lunch and tremendous service. Great appetizers and make sure you try the corn bread. A favorite for family or business.
The lamb and the burger were fantastic. Great place. Union Station is such fun.
Stoic and Genuine exceeded our expectations for our anniversary celebration. It was just quiet enough for easy conversation. The drinks were just right and we were treated with a champagne toast at the end of the elegant dinner. I was inspired by online photos to order the mussels in the green curry sauce. Wow! The oyster selection and presentation offered a good choice with a mignonette and classic cocktail sauce with horseradish and lemon. My husband had a delicious seafood bisque and a yummy salad with walnuts which we shared. We were well taken care of from our server to the manager who charged my phone during dinner so I would have access to my concert tickets after dinner. Thank you for our festive night! I've already recommended you to my foodie family. We all will be back!
Yen was one of the best servers ever !
Quiet time when we arrived so we were seated right away. Servers were attentive but not overly so, just right. We had a couple apps and entrees, overall food was pretty good. We both had red wine and it was served at room temperature, which on this day was a bit too warm (upper seventies). Overall a good spot and great value for the central location.
Exceptional service, otherworldly good food, and a fantastic space. Can't wait to go back.
Food and service as always were great. One of our favorite restaurants downtown. Easy access for us with the lightrail
To whom it may concern, Please do not insult people’s intelligence by serving the 1/2 lobster as an appetizer! For $35, we expected a succulent and delicious serving, instead, we were given the SMALLEST 1/2 lobster we had ever seen as well as the discomfort of having to use our hands to crack part of it! I dislike having to use my hands AT A RESTAURANT of this caliber; therefore, we ate the 2” by 1” piece, which of course was the only part exposed! Finally, the waiter, offered to take the item off the bill but I guess he changed his mind. According to him, we ATE the lobster, maybe he couldn’t see very well or missed it like we did! Finally, stop giving out certificates or dumb discounts trying to rectify your mishandle of meals. I as a customer, don’t expect anything for free; however, I expect and demand quality!!! Awful experience with the lobster!!!
Celebrating a promotion.
Incredible drinks and oysters during happy hour! Lovely to sit outside union station on a beautiful day with good food and good friends.
Everything was great except the duck wings were a little tough and didn’t taste Vietnamese.
Wonderful food and great service!
Always solid and best gazpacho ever! Service was impeccable. Keep it up!
great wait staff, delicious seafood. Cornbread wasn’t as good as I expected or burger.
Great food, as always! Wonderful,
Memorable night. Thanks!
our first table was not desirable but then at our request the server, Dominique, moved to 2-tops together in a better location
The crab legs were over priced and were almost unbeatable…
Fresh seafood and excellent service. Love it! We shared a small tower and a Connecticut lobster roll. Both were great!
Dined out in the front patio - a lovely evening and a great spot to people-watch. Oysters were great - nice selection. Dined on small plates - all delicious. Loved the watermelon gazpacho. And the cornbread is a must-get. They were out of the burrata and peaches which we were looking forward to. Next time. Definitely recommend!
We have been coming to Stoic & Genuine for years now. It never disappoints. The cocktails with granita are a must! Last night we had the most amazing hamachi yellow fin tuna dish and a mouth watering duck and pasta dish.
Awesome meal. Loved everything we had except the lobster roll -served cold and bland. The mussels and tempura broccolini were amazing. Sweater weather cocktail was delicious.
Haven't been to stoic & genuine in years. It used to be one of it favorites. Although this is just one negative experience the restaurant seemed like it went way down hill. The food selection seemed more like bar food with a fish slang (lobster roll, cheeseburger, haddock and fries, tempura broccoli Robb). The food was not good. It looked bad and tasted the same. The only exception was he lobster roll I ordered which was good but that's because it's lobster, butter, grilled bun. It's like grilled cheese, hard not to like.
Good amazing as always. Thanks Jen!
Sylvester also amazing!
Rashan…. Not so much.
As always, Stoic and Genuine was delightful and adventurous. Beginning with the freshest oysters in Denver, and continuing on to the rotating entree menu, everything was flawless. The service was personable and efficient, and we took advantage of a beautiful early fall night on the promenade. All-in-all, a perfect experience.
Pricing considering I had to chase the server down twice, food is good, and the cocktails are exceptional.
Great experience. Everyone was super friendly and made our dining experience awesome.
Great location, great atmosphere, stellar service and amazing food.
