Stoic & Genuine
Loved how prompt the service was! It got a little loud like all restaurants do in Denver, that’s inevitable in any nice eatery. I ordered crab legs, they were great for the most part, perhaps slightly over cooked (however I’m spoiled I come from R.I. where the main industry is fishing so I’m very particular about my seafood). My waitress was wonderful! She showed up when she needed to and paid very close attention to her area, but also allowed us to eat peacefully. My guest and I were very interested in the ambiance. We appreciated the giant octopus and general feel of this beautiful restaurant inside of the rustic train station. Thank you for your service! We stayed for two and a half hours.
Great food - the Opa and the halibut were really delicious - best ever. Waitress was a little pushy with the house cocktails rather than listen to what we wanted. Great food, funky atmosphere that I am not sure compliments the food.
Always amazing, every course and sip!
Been to Stoic & Genuine a number of times, and returned with friends because I have found it to be outstanding. While service and ambiance continue to be fine, this time was a mixed bag regarding the food.
Malpeque oysters were fantastic, including all the brine...your shuckers are the best I know.
Corn soup...2 of 3 had it...mediocre at best.
Halibut...good, but could have been cooked about a minute or two less...more dry than I like.
Monkfish special...very good, prepared very well.
Lobster roll...very good.
Rye Manhattan...just right.
Dutton Ranch Chardonnay...yummy & just right for our rich seafood dishes.
Amazing food & ambiance!
The shrimp cocktail from the raw bar that we ordered could have been a little fresher. It was slightly fishy which was a bit of a turn off, and I was surprised that was the case from such a high end seafood restaurant.
Wonderful service. Unique and delicious food. Worth every penny!
The food is outstanding. I ordered the broccoli salad and scallops. Fantastic! Others at our table ordered the lobster role and the halibut. Neither dishes disappointed. Also, the cornbread is wonderful. We sat on the patio on a lovely night and although the patio was full and the noise level was somewhat high, we were still able to converse easily. Service was a bit slow but perhaps to be expected in a busy restaurant.
Great food, great sercice. Loved our evening. Would highly recomend this place for a nice evening.
We celebrated our anniversary without a sitter, and had our 8 and 9 year old with us. The staff made it special for our entire family. It is not advertised as kid friendly, so we were worried, but they could not have made our kiddos feel more welcomed.
Kept finding shell pieces in my oyster.
The oysters were amazing and they still have my favorite dessert: a coconut lime popsicle dipped in wonderful dark chocolate - YUM! I could eat those every day because they are dairy-free and delicious.
Our waiter once again was Carl who is always very helpful and makes excellent suggestions.
Great They want me to lengthen my review. Ugggg. They still want more. Ugggg.

O. No. I don’t want to lengthen my review.
Nice seafood place in Union Station. I enjoyed my dinner - a special peach, tomato, and burrata salad and the halibut off the menu. Son, hubby, and I shared the cornbread (very good) and the elote corn. The guys ordered the fish and chips which they said was good, but there was only one piece of fish on the plate and thought there should have been more. I also expected a few daily specials, but the only entree special was the daily dayboat catch. I think that if you really like oysters, you would love this place. They had a number of different oysters on special in addition to those on the menu.
Sweet corn soup was excellent!!!!
It was good food, we visited because my girlfriend is pescatarian. She enjoyed the Food and the atmosphere. Only thing we really didn’t like is that there was no real acknowledgement of the reason why we were there which was to celebrate our 1 year anniversary.
Every dish I’ve tried at Stoic and Genuine has been so expertly cooked and displayed. I will definitely continue bringing family and friends here.
Food was wonderful fresh and delightful service was very good a little confused by your host tho, shorts Wrinkled shirt and flip flops not a good first impression! Looks like he was late for work and never got dressed for work!
It has been awhile since I have dined here and I am so glad I decided to lunch here today. Our server was absolutely amazing, polite, knowledgeable and had great timing. The food was outstanding, I tried the Elote fried corn and it was a taste sensation that I hadn’t had before.
One of my favorites! Sitting outside by the fountain at DUS.....Food was fabulous, waitstaff great, cocktails fun. How can it get any better?
Amazing special place in Union Station with incredibly fresh farm to table salads, wild halibut and fresh wild seafood. Service was exceptional with accomodations for preferences. We will try everything and every restaurant from this chef.
Great food and service
Best meal ever!!! And awesome service!! Will be back!!
There were five in our party and we were seated quickly as per our reservation. Our waitress was friendly and gave us plenty of time to peruse the menu. And she graciously gave us individual checks. We ordered off the happy hour menu which gave us plenty to eat. The vodka drink was yummy. We were able to stay past the completion of our meal. All in all it was a very good dinner accompanied by very good service. And Stoic was so convenient to our 7:30 show at the Barth.
We had a great time at Stoic & Genuine for a pre-concert meal! Our server, Karl, was spectacular and the food was excellent! Great spot to grab a drink and relax!
We enjoyed our meal here! The peach and burrata salad was very good, but skip the tonnato, it had no flavor.
Service was excellent. Food was great. Not your typical seafood restaurant. I had the Steelhead trout that our waiter recommended. It was perfect.
Fantastic seafood. The halibut was grilled perfectly. The fish and chips were excellent. The cod was fresh and moist. Service was excellent. Very expensive.
We had an amazing meal! Staff was great and the food was wonderful!
Stoic and Genuine is still a lunch favorite. The fried soft shell over the root salad was super yummy! Service was great as usual. This place is less busy during the week at lunch than many of the others around Union Station and I like the food better.
Everything was great except:
I don't recommend anyone sit at the table furthest from the door. I think it's right next to a waiter cleanup area, maybe where they scrape plates. My guest, sitting closest to the end of the room, was inundated with flies diving into his drink, sitting on his fork (on the table before dinner).
As you know, we almost never see flies in Denver so it was remarkable that 4-5 flies attached our table, and especially our guest's area during our visit. It spoiled an otherwise outstanding evening meal. And, we love the restaurant and its food.
I absolutely love Stoic and Genuine. As a recently transplanted Bostonian I feel like I am back in the seaport enjoying all of my favorite raw bar and seafood items. The waiters and bartenders are friendly, enjoy what they do and are knowledgeable of the menu. I've been here several times already and always feel relaxed and welcome. Definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Denver!
This place was really good! The fish and seafood is so fresh and delicious! I highly recommend the cornbread!
Good but not worth the hype. Lobster $55.00 but they were out. Only one Chardonnay on the menu. Not worth a return visit.
Wonderful seafood selections. - unique offerings - great service
This is the best lunch available at Union Station.
From entry to exit, everything was top drawer. We both ordered Tacu Tacu, a seafood paella, and the dish alone will be the main reason we return. Wait staff was knowledgeable, attentive and friendly without being overbearing. Though a tad bit pricey, it’s worth every penny for every bite!
Visit Stoic and Union...it’ll become a favorite.
