Great atmosphere. Awesome lobster roll
They have the best steak around, and aways a great atmosphere!
As always the Stockyard people are the best. From Jerry to the bus staff make us feel very much at home
Food is to die for. Can't go wrong but my top two are the rib eye steak and the cod fish
My sister and i had a wonderful time. Everything was great except the noise level. Next time i will ask to be seated further away from the bar
Great appetizers and Caesar salad. They always have very good specials to offer.
Great food. Wonderful waitress! She made the evening.
Went here after running the Boston Marathon. The employees were so welcoming and nice! The food was really great and I would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Boston!
A large group of us were there to celebrate the accomplishment of a friend that had run the Marathon.
We had all spent the day at various check points along the route to give our friend support.
By the time we reached The Stockyard for our reservations, we were all soaked to the skin.
The check in gals were so helpful and accommodating, the bartenders were great and our servers at our tables outstanding.
Thank you to the Stockyard staff.
The Stockyard never disappoints. We've seen the sign from the Mass Pike for decades (we live in Central Mass), but never had the occasion to stop there specifically. We first tried it last fall after a riverside bike ride. We were welcomed, even in our biking clothes. It was a beautiful evening, and we ate on the patio, which was very pleasant, even intimate. My son-in-law is in a wheelchair, and the access is easy in and out. Friendly, accommodating, perfectly timed service and perfectly prepared-to-order, tender cuts of beef, every time. We've been back 2 other times since then, once after the Holiday Pops concert, and now for my husband's and daughter's birthday (complimentary LARGE piece of decadent chocolate cake for the birthday people). Oh, and the pricing is so reasonable. It's a new family favorite. If only we knew what we were missing out on all these years!
Awesome with Enzo!!! Perfect gentleman!!!!
Second time at The Stockyard. I ordered the 16 oz. Prime Rib - medium. It was a very thin cut, not close to 16 oz. and it was overdone - almost well done. I complained to the server who replaced the Prime Rib with one full size and cooked pretty well - still a little more than "medium" though. My son ordered the 42 oz. Ribeye - Medium/Rare. It came out about "Medium".
The manager came out to apologize and they offered us a free desert. The server was excellent.
I will have to think twice about going back to the Stockyard.
The new-ish owners have really improved the menu and I have experienced consistently good quality dinners and lunches at The Stockyard. The staff are pleasant and knowledgeable about their menu and are always willing to handle dietary restrictions. They do not make you feel rushed, which is great when you feel like catching up with your friends over dinner and drinks. Love the fireplace, especially on cold days! Great for steaks and prime rib...I am not a fish fan, but my friends who are, rave about the fish dishes. Great desserts too, especially the creme brulee and the Key Lime pie...
This was our first time or my first time since my wife had been here years before and I was impressed not only with the food especially the marinated steak tips, but the service personnel was very friendly and I say this because in this day and age some are so up tight when you walk in the door totally forgetting about the customer, but this was good all around.
I went with my department at work to celebrate an accomplishment and everyone enjoyed themselves. The food was very good as well as the service. And...they have plenty of parking. We work in Boston and that is a huge plus!
I know it’s a steakhouse but the crab cake was fantastic! Would definitely return
Great place and great food. My waiter Nick was the best.
Excellent. Will go back.
Consistent, good food, portions, service
Will return!
We went to Stockyard for our 1 year wedding anniversary. Our meals were excellent. And the waitress was very good.
We were disappointed with the food and our overall experience. Cigarette smoke wafts into the dining room. The door to the brightly lit, white kitchen ruins the ambiance of the dining room located at the back of the building.
This time our dining experience was sub par .. and we do like the place where we have been dining for 3 decades.. the open sirloin meat was old the tournedoa very average ..
Always a great time, good food and excellent staff.
It was great. We were seated as soon as we arrived and the service was quick and efficient. The noise level made it difficult to hear the waitress but we managed. I would go back again and recommend it to all.
Elaine was a great waitress and handled the crowd with ease and humor.
Day before St. Patrick’s Day, and it was very loud with the band!!! We literary had to yell at one another I Order to talk! Food was excellent though!!!
Their salmon with parmesan risotto is delicious -- the bread basket is too tempting -- and the key lime pie is yummy.
Always great and consistent.
We are regulars at theStock yard totally enjoyed it Saturday night. the fish was fantastic our guest had the special sword fish-cooked to perfection. Totally enjoyed the experience service 10/10
The place has a great vibe. Gerry the GM makes you feel like family.
They don't call it the stockyard for nothing that steak is great in the service is wonderful and I love the fireplace we love this place we come back at least once or twice a month
Expensive for the portions.
Interior is nicely decorated but the food leaves much to be desired.
Many restaurants/steak houses around and this one needs to step it up.
The Stockyard is a very nice, traditional steakhouse. The atmosphere is "old fashioned", which is nice. There is a large bar with sports playing on the TVs.
My wife and I shared a 16 oz. Prime Rib. It was huge and delicious. Splitting it in two was a good idea. We also split a salad - another good idea.
Great place to meet friends or go for a date night. Nice atmosphere and delicious food.
The Stockyard is a long time favorite, although I haven't been in several years. And in that time, things have gone downhill considerably. Not sure if it was the change in ownership a few years back or something else, but the food was no better than we would have gotten at a chain restaurant like Applebees, but with a significantly higher price tag. The pro's: 1) great cocktail - I had a Mai Tai and it was excellent, 2) parking - it is nice to have onsite parking.
Have been here 5-6 times and the only item on the menu I didn’t like was the chocolate cake, besides that I really like it here. The ambience, fireplace and the bar are terrific as is the food
Great service, steak was amazing!
I am on a special eating program so the waiter, Brendan offered a suggestion that worked perfectly.
We enjoyed a fun time here with some excellent food and great service! Although one meal was not cooked as requested, this was remedied immediately and the manager made sure to check in with us and even offered a dessert on the house. Overall, a great time! Will certainly be back on another visit to Boston!
This was our first time to this restaurant as we recently relocated from California. I feel the steaks are equal if not better than the other chain steakhouses which often have that corporate feel to them. We were seated right away and our server Sandie was phenomenal. We will definitely ask for her again. Don't miss the house salad. The steaks are seasoned perfectly and appear to have an au jus and cooked to perfection. We enjoyed the sides...roasted cauliflower and creamed spinach made with fresh cream, crisp bacon and freshly cooked spinach (seemed made to order). You could easily tell the key lime pie was homemade.
Bottom line...can't wait to return. It was quite worth our hour drive from New Hampshire!
What a fantastic meal! And the waitstaff was superb!
