Always a great time, good food and excellent staff.
It was great. We were seated as soon as we arrived and the service was quick and efficient. The noise level made it difficult to hear the waitress but we managed. I would go back again and recommend it to all.
Elaine was a great waitress and handled the crowd with ease and humor.
Day before St. Patrick’s Day, and it was very loud with the band!!! We literary had to yell at one another I Order to talk! Food was excellent though!!!
Their salmon with parmesan risotto is delicious -- the bread basket is too tempting -- and the key lime pie is yummy.
Always great and consistent.
We are regulars at theStock yard totally enjoyed it Saturday night. the fish was fantastic our guest had the special sword fish-cooked to perfection. Totally enjoyed the experience service 10/10
The place has a great vibe. Gerry the GM makes you feel like family.
They don't call it the stockyard for nothing that steak is great in the service is wonderful and I love the fireplace we love this place we come back at least once or twice a month
Expensive for the portions.
Interior is nicely decorated but the food leaves much to be desired.
Many restaurants/steak houses around and this one needs to step it up.
The Stockyard is a very nice, traditional steakhouse. The atmosphere is "old fashioned", which is nice. There is a large bar with sports playing on the TVs.
My wife and I shared a 16 oz. Prime Rib. It was huge and delicious. Splitting it in two was a good idea. We also split a salad - another good idea.
Great place to meet friends or go for a date night. Nice atmosphere and delicious food.
The Stockyard is a long time favorite, although I haven't been in several years. And in that time, things have gone downhill considerably. Not sure if it was the change in ownership a few years back or something else, but the food was no better than we would have gotten at a chain restaurant like Applebees, but with a significantly higher price tag. The pro's: 1) great cocktail - I had a Mai Tai and it was excellent, 2) parking - it is nice to have onsite parking.
Have been here 5-6 times and the only item on the menu I didn’t like was the chocolate cake, besides that I really like it here. The ambience, fireplace and the bar are terrific as is the food
Great service, steak was amazing!
I am on a special eating program so the waiter, Brendan offered a suggestion that worked perfectly.
We enjoyed a fun time here with some excellent food and great service! Although one meal was not cooked as requested, this was remedied immediately and the manager made sure to check in with us and even offered a dessert on the house. Overall, a great time! Will certainly be back on another visit to Boston!
This was our first time to this restaurant as we recently relocated from California. I feel the steaks are equal if not better than the other chain steakhouses which often have that corporate feel to them. We were seated right away and our server Sandie was phenomenal. We will definitely ask for her again. Don't miss the house salad. The steaks are seasoned perfectly and appear to have an au jus and cooked to perfection. We enjoyed the sides...roasted cauliflower and creamed spinach made with fresh cream, crisp bacon and freshly cooked spinach (seemed made to order). You could easily tell the key lime pie was homemade.
Bottom line...can't wait to return. It was quite worth our hour drive from New Hampshire!
What a fantastic meal! And the waitstaff was superb!
As always the food was great as was the service.
I have never had a bad meal.
The food was of excellent quality. We ordered steak tips, and they were the best steak tips we had ever had in our lives. The coffee, even the decaf, was excellent. The waiter was very friendly.
I particularly like the proximity to the railroad tracks. Some people may consider it a minus, but I consider it a plus. I think the next time I visit I will request a table overlooking the tracks so I can watch the trains go by.
Great wine list at a pretty reasonable price. Good steaks. Fresh raw bar. Great service. Noise level is the only issue. It's just too loud
Even though we made a reservation, we still had to wait an extra 15 minutes to get seated. The staff at the hostess desk was okay, not super polite but not rude either. Once we were seated, the waitress immediately came to our table with water, bread, and took our drink orders. The cocktails are overpriced for how well they’re made. The sliders were the best part of the meal. The filet mignon and pork chop were alright, again, not worth the price we paid for. The crowd is interesting. It’s almost like a slightly fancier crowd than you’d find at your local 99. Wouldn’t recommend this place and definitely won’t be coming back.
I went the Stockyard for Valentine’s Day so perhaps this was just a particularly busy/bad night. For being a steakhouse, both pieces of meat ordered were lackluster. The prime rib was poorly seasoned and the beef Wellington was severely overdone and bland. The side potatoes for the Wellington were far too sparse and the baked potato with the prime rib was nearly burnt to a crisp. The appetizer of steak and cheese spring rolls were rather one noted. The price for all of this was far too expensive given the quality. You’d be more likely to get better food at a cheaper price at a place like Texas Roadhouse frankly.
Was a very nice place to celebrate Valentine's Day. Food, service and drinks were all perfect. We will be back.
Husband and I had an excellent meal here. Cocktail made right. Waitress very friendly and attentive. Very noisy bar scene though. Will return as the food was good.
We made our reservation through Opentable and when we arrived the restaurant didn't actually have our reservation, but the staff was great and they seated us right away. The place is popular and there are a lot of people hanging out at the bar. The TV's had a great variety of content on. The food was great and we had a wonderful time.
Love this establishment. Seating near the bar is preferable.
Think twice!! Stockyard was NOT a good experience for our family. The four of us were excited to go but the food was lukewarm and brought out separately with undercooked steak. The second time they brought back the steak it was just charred black on the outside and still undercooked on the inside. To be fair, management offered me another drink as an apology but without food, I didn't want to accept and meat that's so undercooked is a big deal that a beer doesn't fix. Everyone's meals were so off that we just finished and asked for the check ( which had the steak still on it!). Can't recommend unless you like room temperature food prepared to the chef's liking and paying full price for a partial meal.
My husband and son had the ribeye special with truffles mashed potatoes and Brussel sprouts and said it was amazing !! First time there . Can’t wait to go myself!
Excellent food, great menu, good service and nice atmosphere. Never had a bad meal here. We usually stop here for dinner before seeing a show at Scullers. Ample parking.
Very user friendly quality experience, Plan to return on a somewhat regular basis.
Seated and served promptly. Food and service was excellent. Great value.
This is my second time visiting Stockyard, and I'm glad my group of three decided to dine here again. My first experience was forgettable; however, I was thoroughly impressed this time around. I ordered a pomegranate martini and oysters to start. I was a bit disappointed that the oysters were not served with cocktail sauce along with the horseradish, but I coupled them with the mignonette served instead.
For my entree, I chose the 20oz Ribeye. What a steak! It was sheer excellence, and I was shocked that I was able to eat the whole thing. The broccoli and asparagus were great too - not overly crunchy or soft. The server assistants were on point throughout the meal and very attentive. Our strawberry shortcake was split for us, which was a nice touch.
Overall, I look forward to returning.
Great place to enjoy steaks.
I made the reservation through open table and put in writing special requests. It didn’t seem as though they paid attention to my requests: although, it was a very enjoyable dinner. Our server, Mimi, was wonderful.
Classic old school casual steakhouse
My family loves the Stockyard. The food is always delicious and the vibe is fun. Last time we were there my daughter was accidentally served chicken on her salad instead of shrimp. They corrected the problem immediately and also (although we told them it wasn't necessary) they took her meal off the bill!
Asked for a quiet booth
Was seated in a booth with three waitresses chatting in back of it
They did not apologize whe I politely asked them to move
Rib roast was huge but tasteless
The waffle pudding is a must have
