Steak was good, not spectacular but adequate, baked potato was not- not sure how you mess that up. The Appetizers were the best part of the meal. All and all once we got the check I definitely felt like it wasn’t worth the money. We had a mirror at our table and instead of talking to us the waitress was checking herself out in the mirror, not a glance here or there, like she never made eye contact with us because she was so busy checking herself out.
What a great experience! It was my first time here and can't wait to come back. The service and food was exceptional. We had a great time with our server and were absolutely delighted with all of the suggestions.
Unfortunately my aged strip steak was tough and grizzly, very disappointing for the price and quality.
We are never disappointed when you go to this restaurant. The Food is terrific & the service is impeccable.
Great atmosphere, great food and great service. The staff was professional, knowledgeable and very friendly. Definitely going back.
If $200 for two is not expensive then best steak you may ever have is yours. The Lobster dip appetizer with the South African peppers is dynamite!
Delicious from start to finish. Great drinks from the bar, seafood and steaks were all cooked perfectly!
Although we had dined at Stockhill several times before we had not had Brunch there. We loved everything about it..the food and service didn’t miss a beat.
Having music by Jayson Kayne only made it better. We will be back for another brunch.
Food was very disappointing, especially for the price.
Our server was amazing! Dinner was delightful.
We had a lovely dinner here a few nights ago. It was a Friday night and we knew they’d be busy. We had a drink at the bar first. They were slammed, but we still managed to find a seat and get a nice cocktail prior to our reservation time. In this post-CoVid environment you have to be patient. We were in no hurry and it was actually nice to not be rushed through our drinks and dinner. Everyone was hustling, but remained incredibly friendly and professional. We sat on the patio and our waiter was the same as our bartender. A common staffing arrangement, but now we knew part of the reason the bar staff was so busy. I think his name was Dave, maybe. Anyway, he did a great job. That’s a hard shift to work the bar and the patio. He was as attentive as we needed and the food came out perfect. We splurged on the seafood tower, and it was everything I had been dreaming of. My husband got a steak and shared a few delicious bites with me. It was honestly one of the more enjoyable nights out we’ve had in a while.
It was a wonderful night. Gary, our waiter, was amazing in every way. He was knowledgeable, gave great advise and helped us pick the perfect wine. Made us feel special and my friend as we were celebrating her birthday. Also, while we did not get the young ladies name who helped at the table - she was just as great. Making sure our table was always clear of extra plates and glasses, as well as keeping us hydrated with water.
Amazing food and service!
Fabulous food; amazing service; great wine list; fun whisky flights. A great evening out.
Excellent service. Elegant setting. Great food.
Excellent food and service, great atmosphere (except for the setting sun reflecting off the public library windows and blinding me!). Prices are reasonable (although the $100 market price for lobster was a bit much). It is one of our “go-to” restaurants.
First time there and it was exceptional.
Great food and wine. Jen , our waitress was the best we have ever had. Highly recommend .
Steak was amazing! However $28 for an additional small lobster tail seemed a bit much. Ambiance was great and service was top!
The drinks were great, Steak was nice but the sides were a little disappointing. The staff were very friendly and attentive.
Our food was so delicious! Spending the extra money for the wagyu strip was completely worth it!
Everything was top notch. The waitress was knowledgeable and accommodating. The tomahawk was phenomenal!
The food was phenomenal! The atmosphere was outstanding! The service was decent. The only complaint that I would have is if the server would have checked on us a little more frequently
Phenomenal food and service!
This was our 3rd time at Stock Hill. Always such a treat as the food is excellent. I typically don't opt for steak when dining out but I definitely make an exception here. Highly recommend the dry aged ribeye. Best steak I've every had. Although the food is excellent and worth every penny, be ready for an expensive meal. Total bill after tax and tip for 3 (with a few drinks) was $300.
Excellent dinner. We were there to celebrate a birthday and everyone treated us so well and made sure the event was recognized. We had excellent drink suggestions and a fabulous meal. The food was delicious, but more importantly, the experience was wonderful and we were taken care of very well!
Love the atmosphere! Heirloom tomato risotto is a must!
At our 4 top, we had 3 different steaks and 1 lobster tail, and a variety of sides. Let's tackle the steaks first. One dry-aged ribeye was prepared perfectly. One wagyu ribeye was nearly over in doneness but had chunks of gristle running through it. One prime filet (7 oz) was also on the done side. We all had salads and the 2 caesars were good as well as the wedge, however, the SH salad that was brought was underdressed. The sides ordered were baked potatoes, green beans, and mushrooms. The mushrooms were claimed to be the highlight of the meal by the guest with the wagyu ribeye, however, I found them disappointing as they were not advertised to have onions in them, just a mushroom blend, and this order came out with significant amounts of onion in it. The baked potatoes were great, and the green beans were under blanched by about 2 minutes. In a pre-covid era, some of these issues could have been resolved by the wait staff, however, it looked pretty lean and we cut them some slack over that. Overall, the bar service was good, a bit high for a pour of Knob Creek 12, but otherwise a good selection. I might give them 6 months and another shot, but I'm not sure at this point. Our server was busting her tail with all of her tables and did a good job based on the number of tables she was serving.
We were excited to try Stock Hill because the reviews were very good. I’m not sure if our waitress was too busy, but she came by 3 times total. She seemed to see us with an empty drink and walked past us. We only got one drink because she only came by once to take our order and then not again until she gave us our check. I’ve never had an experience like this where it seemed like we were being purposely ignored.
They have live music, but it is not overpowering.
The service was outstanding. It was busy, and our server stayed very mindful of us.
The prime ribeye was prepared perfectly. Do not skip dessert!
Absolutely delicious food. Well prepared and thought out dishes. Service was on point as always.
Really good place. Steaks are good and overall ambience was great. Such a nice menu it was hard to decide what to eat.
