STK - Toronto
Great music and ambience! Would definitely come back again!
The waitress was amazing and the food was on time and delicious thank you
The waitress forgot my side. Which was fine at the time since I was drunk and having fun celebrating my wife’s birthday. Thinking of it now gives me mixed emotions since after dropping $950 for dinner things should be near perfect in my book - just a thought
We celebrated my husband’a birthday there. I has asked for a quiet and romantic table which they gave is. The service, food and ambiance was fantastic. This was our first time there. We would definitely go back.
Beautiful setting for a nice dinner. The food however was just okay. I ordered a 14oz steak with wine and crab toppings and it didn’t wow me. The presentation of the food however was beautifully done.
Thoroughly enjoyed sitting the bar/lounge area where the full menu is also available. You still feel like you are in the middle of the action
Everything was perfect.
LOVE this place....the food is always amazing ,staff is great.. fun and vibrant atmosphere
Birthday dinner was great! The short rib was the best I’ve ever tasted. Can’t really fault them for this but server definitely tried to upsell when making recommendations, but she wasn’t pushy it was just obvious, which to some can seem pretentious. One of our steaks was over cooked and was sent back but they made good on it. And the Wine sommelier that is there is fantastic and honest and he recommended a delicious red cab from California, and also gave us some recommendations for Lcbo finds in southern France and Spain, great tip to take home. But ambience was live, staff friendly, even better food!!! I’m going back just need another reason!
This was our 2nd time here for dinner on a Saturday night. While Our 1st experience here wasn’t good (poor service), our 2nd time here was much better.
Our waiter Gareth was very personable & recommended the rib cap steak that wasn’t on the menu. It was the best steak I’ve tasted! I had it cooked medium rare. Perfect! I ate it with the medley of mushrooms which was delicious. The chimicurri sauce was good too.
For appetizers we had the Cesar salad....just ok. No anchovies included & lacks punch.
The steak tartare was delicious...had this last time as well. As I’m gluten free, I opted for the taro chips instead of the baguettes & it was yum!
Recommend with some drawbacks. Social hour has limited areas for sitting. None at tables.
My boyfriend and I went on a Friday night to STK A family friend gave us a gift certificate for Christmas.
The restaurant itself is very pretty and nicely decorated. The bar was lively and fun.
Our reservations were at 8:30pm. They let us know that our table wasn’t ready so we decided to have a drink at the bar while we waited. The bartender handed our bill right away and we weren’t able to just put our drinks on our dinner bill. That was the first thing that annoyed me.
We finally got seated at 9:00pm. Our waiter, Matthew was wonderful and our wine was great. But our main meals were absolutely terrible. My boyfriend got the 14oz striploin and I got the 6oz filet and we got the Mac and Cheese as our side. The Mac and Cheese was mediocre and our steak were both horrible. The outside of both steaks were so charred that they were tough to cut and chew. When you pay $40-$45 for a single piece of steak you expect good quality meat and the steak was such poor quality.
Thankfully we had a gift card, I would be very upset if we had to pay for that meal.
With all the hype that surrounds STK, I can honestly say I was very disappointed. I would not recommend STK to anyone, it was a terrible experience.
I really love the food a d the atmosphere
Great place to eat and spend the weekend .
All of my friends were impressed and we had amazing experience 🙏
Best ever !! Thanks Stephanie !!
Ambiance was great. Food was expensive, steak was very salty. Service was great!
Very cool atmosphere. Contemporary. Steak was great but was disappointed with the king crab topping. Would recommend the maple bacon jam asparagus as a side
Overpriced and service seems very mediocre. Not a big fan
Dinner with friends. Great venue
It was our first time at STK. We were very impressed with the ambience and decor. Music was playing when we arrived. Our initial thought was that it might be too energetic and upbeat for a dining experience but we thoroughly enjoyed it. The music suited the vibe of the restaurant. Our waiter and sommelier were excellent. Both well informed and provided great suggestions. I enjoyed the shaved brussels sprout salad - delicious, unique, flavorful and my husband was equally impressed with the tuna tartare. Dinner selections were the braised short ribs and seared Atlantic scallops.- again both meals didn’t disappoint - delicious! We had a lovely evening and would highly recommend.
This was the first visit to this Toronto location. It was incredible, as it was in Las Vegas where my wife and I first experienced STK. The food was great, ambiance was beautiful and the service was fantastic and friendly. The price of he meal was steep and could be less to allow for more frequent visits to the restaurant.
We went for lunch. It was super quiet which was great because we took our 6 month old but the service was TERRIBLE. My steak was nice but the crispy chicken sandwich was greasy. Overall not so great :(.
Food was underwhelming for the price. Flavours were simplistic and not worthy. Expected way more.
Amazing spot to visit for dinner and drinks, great music...love it!
1st time at STK on a Saturday night.
Great ambiance & decor.
Music was a a mixture of disco & pop.
Food - I’ve attached pictures & comments
Service - needs improvement. Many staff standing around chatting amongst themselves. Perhaps they should be checking on customers? Many times we had to flag someone down to get plates or serving cutlery. Food is literally dropped at your table with no explanation or comment.
Enjoyed the atmosphere, however I I ordered medium rare steak and it was very undercooked.
Good food, Terrible service. Hosts/waitresses have very stand-offish attitudes. Dinner tables too close to the bar. Food is amazing.
Our Brussel sprouts were super hard, our complimentary bread was hard and smelly with blue cheese melted all over it. Shouldn’t expect everyone likes blue cheese. Crispy shrimp is something that anyone can make. Just a teaser for two. Steak and lamb chops were very good.
Be prepared to drop $300 plus tip for dinner for two with two drinks. Which by the way, they don’t know how to make a proper Manhattan. Served like they would at some busy country tavern. Very over priced.
Overrated. Much better options available in Yorkville.
Found the music so loud that it was difficult to hear each other’s conversation.
Large venue. Very nice with music that pounds.
Designed with the younger diners in mind.
I did not appreciate being told that there was a time limit on how long we could stay. Bush!
Very expensive. Steak was tough. Ordered peppercorn sauce. Served in a thimble and was watered down.
Still doe s not beat Morton's which is my benchmark.
Great meal, good portions and energetic atmosphere.
I’ve heard about this place for a while, finally made my way there for valentines day. Definitely glad I did. my server was amazing she was very aware of her tables and knew when to stop and when not to. I will be back and if hopefully it’s as good next time as it was this time!
Our waiter Jordan was such a friendly kind guy. My first time ever eating at stk and what an amazing experience. Food was to die for. Jordan was very helpful when I had questions about the steaks. Defiantly will be eating here again
Great time, food and service! Definitely will be back.
CIBO down the street was 100 percent better on price, food quality and ambiance. STK seemed like a excessively expensive fast food place where they just wanted to get you in an out so that they can get more patrons in to make more money. The food was ok. I had my appy half way to my mouth and the busboy was already clearing my unfinished plate. After limp Asparagus, a 10 dollar bottle of still water on our bill (waiter asked us if we wanted taken off our bill instead of just taking it off. Waiter also dropped off a desert menu and never came back to ask if we wanted any desert. )and the busboy dropping horseradish all over the floor by my foot while trying to clear my plate I would rather go back to the Sunset Grill where the food was good, coffee and service were great.
STK Toronto has an excellent location and dining room and the service is first rate, but the quality of the food (especially the steak) was a total disappointment.
I recently dined at STK in LasVegas and their filet was amongst the best I’ve ever enjoyed. Immediately thought of trying STK Toronto for a repeat culinary experience when I got home.
I was surprised that the quality of the beef was so different... STK corporately needs to spend more time with their Toronto kitchen to bring the quality up to what I enjoyed in Las Vegas!!
The food was excellent, especially the main courses of fish and steak, together with the accompanying very savory sauces. Desserts were creative and tasty compared to other restaurants. In general, a very good experience by my wife and I.
Went for Winterlicious - the service was poor and was not worth the 18% automatic charge (group of 6+) on our bill as the server would disappear for long periods and very slow service. Food was mediocre at best but it's expected with winterlicious. Disappointed overall. Wrote on Open Table it was my birthday and they did not even pay attention
Great food and nice atmosphere. Waitress was very attentive!
