STK - Toronto Ratings and Reviews
Atmosphere was great. Live dj playing all genres. Beautiful restaurant. Perfect for birthday parties and special events. They offer bottle service as well. Service was great, always on point But the food.. it is not worth the price at all. I ordered the “dominca” I think I spelled it wrong but its the closest steak to a ribeye, $70. Nothing close to ruth chris or the keg and there cheaper. Ruth chris i can eat the steak later and cold, super juicy and worth all my money. My left over steak from stk went straight in the garage unfortunately, it got super dry and chewy. We ordered mash potatoes for our side $16. It was really good, nothing special. We ordered a glass of wine $16. We spent $250 for two & we wish we went to the keg or joeys. Overalll ambiance was nice, very young crowd as well.
Steak melts in my mouth!
The food was amazing!! Started with fresh oysters. Had a steak that was cooked perfectly and literally melted in my mouth. Add some brussel sprouts with bacon jam and crab risotto and the meal was to die for. Dessert was spectacular too. We each had our own dessert but shared a pink candy cotton dessert, only downfall was the cotton went up in flames.
Hip stylish vibe with great decor and music.
We will be back
Incredible service and fantastic food. Tables really close together so a little awkward for date night. Had heirloom tomatoes, tenderloin steak, mashed potatoes, corn pudding and lobster and all tasted fantastic. Absolutely floored however when the bill came and the MP for lobster was an inappropriate $140!! Holy mark up! Everything else was appropriately priced for this style restaurant.
Food was OK had the steak asked for a medium- steak came out medium well done, I think if the steak was cooked medium it would been great. The ambience was great, staff was amazing from Valet, to server and so on. Great staff working there very charming, cheerful and treated you with respect.
I was so excited to try STK for the first time! I decided to take my best friend here for her birthday. We each got a cocktail, which were okay. Then ordered two appetizers (Brussels sprouts and fries) which were delicious. And for the main event, we each got a medium 10oz filet! You can imagine I was extremely excited to cut into my $60 steak! The steak was delicious, however as I got to the centre of the steak it was completely raw... I ended up eating around it and was left with a whole chunk that was completely uncooked. I was pretty disappointed considering I paid that much for a steak that I couldn’t even finish. I was hoping the waiter would come around and check up on us so I can have them redo it, but he only came around at the end and said they could cook it up some more if I’d like. At this point I was already very full, but we had other plans after so to wait for them to cook it up and me try and finish my meal when my friend finished eating just didn’t work out. Overall my experience was good. I just wish someone had checked up on us sooner so I could have had a properly cooked steak, because I definitely would’ve finished it..
I’ve been to so many STK restaurants over the years and they replicate the same culture, a sexy atmosphere but less than stellar service and mediocre food. So, for my first time at the Toronto restaurant, I can positively state the same thing. I do want to mention that the hostesses were genuinely nice and very attractive and our server was nice but he really had no personality. The bartender made really good drinks. The atmosphere was energetic and club like as are most STKs. If you’re looking for top notch service and perfect stakes then there are other steak houses in Toronto that are far better. Trust me on this.
The design is beautiful. Music was great and generally nice atmosphere. My problem was with the steak - I ordered the ribeye and it was terrible. it is easily the worse steak I have had in toronto. For $70, I expect it to be at least better than the keg but it was way way worse.
The service itself was great and I would go back for drinks/atmosphere but never for a steak!
I have also been to STK in Las Vegas and the steak didn’t blow me away there either.
Hope this helps
If you want the club atmosphere, it's a great place. But if you're heading for just steak, it's just ok. Delmonico while mostly med-rare inside was totally charred on the outside - too much - not my style. While a more fatty cut, they don't have to let the flames char so much. I just didn't feel like sending it back and waiting. Be prepared for the upcharges on everything. Although we had 1/2 price bottles on a Sunday special which was a pleasant surprise.
Overall the restaurant has a good vibe and the service is good. The food and wine are very expensive ($30 for a glass of wineand a chicken entree with no sides was $36). We’d go there again but not for dinner. We received our table at 9:30 but didn’t get our chicken until 11:45. It was too late at that point and we couldn’t even eat all of our food. Our server Garrett was fantastic but the kitchen took too long with our entrees.
I went there with my wife. Not spectacular, service/food-wise. Very expensive which made me have expectations of a truly elevated service and food experience.
It was good. In my opinion it was not reflective of the price. My steak was $80 on it's own and it was just 'ok'. I've had amazing steaks before and this was not it... For an $80 steak you're expecting beyond average...
Birthday dinner..waitress was great.. definitely pricey but the food was great. 800 dollars for 4 and we brought our own wine. We were quoted 40 for corkage by phone and charged 45. Not a big deal but that is pricey when most places now charge 25. DJ during dinner was awesome.
