Food is amazing as always, just happened to hit the tail end of a happy hour which allowed us to try a ton of stuff we probably wouldn’t normally order. I’ve been to STK on a weekend and on a weekday, the weekday evenings are SIGNIFICANTLY calmer. Jam packed on a Sat to about 30-40% full on a Monday night. Either way, I would HIGHLY recommend.
The cost for a Manhattan was way overpriced. I was asked what brand of whiskey I wanted, but should have been warned that I was paying for the cost of an entire bottle. The whiskey I ordered is one that I purchase often at Costco and Total Wine for $26 roughly. This restaurant charged me $26 for using that whiskey and another $8 or so for the Manhattan. I understand the restaurant is higher end, but I have ordered many Manhattans with Basil Hayden at other “fancier” restaurants, and the cost was not even close to STK!
Other than the drink cost, everything was great. Food, service. They even brought me out desert on the house for my birthday. The atmosphere was fun with great music. I will go there again, but will order a different cocktail!
The staff was incredibly accommodating from the hostess who comped drinks because our reservation was not ready to the assistant general manager who escorted us to our new booth to our server Brian who was absolutely wonderful to work with and another manager, Niya who followed up with us as we were leaving.
Overall the service was excellent and I would recommend going back anytime if you want to see what good service is all about.
However the food was good; The mac & cheese with bacon was great, the brussels sprouts were pretty good, the steak was a bit overcooked and had more grizzle then it should have which is understandable for an average steak at Outback Steakhouse but not when you’re spending $125 for the steak at STK.
It was a Saturday night and the music was loud and the scene was vibrant. After having been to several other locations of Michael Mina I would say this location is a place I would go with my friends for a night out not necessarily a special occasion with my family.
All in all we had a good time and the service was excellent.
Thank you again Brian!
The food was way too over priced I will not be back! Our server was great. The music was too loud so we had to scream at each other to talk! Once the food was over priced!
Way too noisy and clubby for our taste. We would rather go to a restaurant where my husband and I can hear ourselves talk and have a conversation.
The restaurant was so loud, we found ourselves shouting to be heard. This is a restaurant for “players”. We saw more than one hookup while we were there. I ordered a French 75, and the champagne was flat. The replacement drink was horrible too. We paid for our drinks and left. We will not be going back. This is clearly a meat market, and we weren’t buying….
The music was a little loud. Kinda made you feel like you were having dinner in the club. Good was decent for the price. Brussels sprouts were amazing
Too expensive for the food quality.
There really should be a lunch menu
My husband and I just went to STK on Tuesday. The ambiance was super cool-live dj, lights, decor etc. The server was awesome!
The food was really expensive and not worth it in our opinion. We’ve been to a ton of nice steakhouses and have paid the same or even less for much better food.
We still had a good time, but won’t be back.
It was nice
The food was good, but was not a fan of the club-like vibe and atmosphere. The neon lights and music took away from the food.
Great Birthday Celebration
Nice ambience! Food was not as great as other steakhouses I have attended.. Lamb was very fatty and crab cakes just ok. Caesar Salad was great and waiters friendly.
Had a reservation for 7:15pm. Showed up right on time. Ended leaving at about 7:55pm, as we had not been seated yet.
It was a pleasure to dine at STK Steakhouse for the very first time. My friend and I, both enjoyed our meals immensely. Expensive, but the quality is definitely there. Perhaps a bit much on the noise level, as the music could be turned down just a notch without disturbing the energetic vibe the restaurant wants to present. We were there on a Friday evening, and the DJ was spinning the tunes, in which he did an excellent job! The handmade cocktails are amazing and are not watered down with non-quality ingredients. Effort is made to serve the cocktails at the proper temperature, as should be expected from a high-end restaurant. The Shellfish Platters are quite divine, and entrée portion sizes are reasonable.
Our server Jeffery and the entire STK -Scottsdale staff provided outstanding service. The steaks and seafood entrees were awesome. Our party of 10 from Sedona enjoyed our two-hour STK experience.
Horrible bread very stale
This experience was not like the normal StK
Great stk mules
Overall a 4/10 experience
Ambiance and food was great
Tables were not cleaned properly (there was a napkin on the floor and chair was sticky) and we were not seated immediately despite calling that we are on the way (we were the only ones eating that late). Despite these negatives the food itself was very tasty.
They ran out of tables even though we had a reservation after a 30 min wait for some reason sat us outside though we did not ask ….where it seems they sat most of the minorities…we are minorities so it was weird.
One of the worst service experiences I have ever had. The food was okay, but I was seated at the bar, where I was ignored for 20 minutes (I was there for restaurant week). My reservation was for 9PM and I didn’t receive any food until after 10.
We came ready knowing that it would be an expensive restaurant. Even then, we felt like the food was extremely overpriced for the quality. We also felt like we were hustled out of the restaurant the whole time. They kept trying to take our plates away before we had even finished our food. I understand that demand is high right now, and they’re trying to clear tables, but when you’re paying that kind of money for food that really isn’t worth it, you’d expect a better service. Definitely not going back again.
Horrible service, cookie cutter atmosphere. No need to try that place again
Rude hostess. Waited 15 minutes past reservation time. Put us in the back room (conference room) by ourselves. Was dirty, including silverware. Asked for a split salad. Brought out as one salad with two plates. When bussing the table the staff used his fingers to pick up stray food on the table. Waited way too long between salad and dinner. Music was way too loud in the “conference room” we were in. Dinner was decent. The best was when we asked for take home and they brought us the plastic Panda Express container and made us box it ourselves. ($110 steak “special”). Pricing was laughable and service was sub par. Could have had a better experience at Outback. Won’t be back.
We went for restaurant night and made reservations. When we got there we were told we would have about a 30 minute wait (our reservations were for 6 p.m. on a Sunday night) unless we wanted to eat outside, which was ok, but not what we had reserved. The dinner was marginal. It is priced comparable to other high end steak houses but doesn't have the food of them. I had heard that rumor from other patrons to expect that but was hoping to discover differently.
Did not honor restaurant week menu prices. Confused as to why they provided us restaurant week menus but charged us the normal prices of the items. If y’all are gonna put your restaurant on restaurant week, at least let your waiters know how to properly charge your guests the amount y’all advertise online. Food was great and heard a lot of good things about the place.
Sub-par food in a Nite club-like environment.
I recognize that I have high expectations when it comes to a steak dinner but if you’re going to represent yourself as a steakhouse you should be able to back it up. Based upon my experience, they should be embarrassed.
The sides were acceptable but nothing special. Service was young and not very professional. Example: Our food arrived and I told the person dropping off that it was not the meal we ordered. He assured us it was. lol. The waiter finally came around and immediately saw this was wrong and corrected it but the sides were allowed to sit on the table and get cold while the correct steak was prepared. Ultimately I had the correct warm steak with cold sides.
A live DJ had great music but made it hard to hold a conversation.
So many amazing places to eat in the valley. I’m sorry, but This is not one of them.
Made a reservation for 9pm for a party of 4 got seated 29 minutes later outside by a leaking portable water cooler was not even asked by the hostess if the table was okay . Our server didn’t show for about 15 minutes . We ordered drinks 2 sangrias 2 beers . They had no domestics beer available so server took it upon himself to bring whichever beer he wanted . Which took another 20 minutes just to get our drinks . We ordered our food and the filets were over cooked , the red wine reduction sauce was cold, the asparagus was cold , received two mashed potatoes instead off what we ordered ( smashed potatoes and mushrooms) never received small sharing plates we asked for . The manager who was here to train from their Vegas restaurant did try to make it up . We have been to the Vegas location many times and can’t say enough great things about it . But Scottsdale location failed in every aspect.
Waited 20 minutes no one approached our table we looked for a server/manager to ask for water to no avail!
We left no reason to stay lord only knows how long it might have taken to get any water let alone meals & cocktails!
We went for a Birthday party . The experience was really bad they did nothing for the birthday girl and the server just smelled like marijuana might have been some of the worst service we have ever received.
First off, we went for Restaurant Week but the waiter claimed that the restaurant week menu ended yesterday (Friday). This was when the whole experience went downhill..
Next, 2 people order the cheapest steak on the menu. 10 min later the waiter says “we don’t have that anymore”. It was 7pm... how do you run out of steak at 7 pm on a Saturday?
We felt extremely disrespected because of our age.
If you are under 40 years old you will not be treated with respect and proper service. My whole table felt completely discriminated against because of our age and appearance.
We showed up for restaurant week, they said they “changed the dates” and are still listed on the website for RW reservations.
A couple of us ordered the wagyu flat iron steak and they came back 10 minutes later just to tell us they didn’t have it.
The ambience outside was mediocre and we will never return. Do not recommend.
The food was cold and my steak was fatty and undercooked. The bottle of wine was overpriced and not at the appropriate temperature. It was more like a bar and nightclub club than a high end steakhouse. You can find a much better steak at a better price. The only bright spot was the tater tots.
Everything was awesome from the food to the ambiance. Too notch.
Our server was attentive and gave great service. Check in process was average - not that friendly. Food was excellent - but not worth the price.
Noise level was high and if you want to have conversation at the table had to speak loudly.
Would I go back - probably not.
Food was pretty bad had my steak brought out twice and after the 3rd i didn’t even want it, my friends chicken and waffles didn’t have a taste to it, the bottomless mimosas was bottomless it wasn’t worth the price of $120 for the group it was basically orange juice
Beautiful place Just too loud of music. Need to tone down!!!!
Awful service. My drink had weird red speckles in it so I sent it back. Spinach was cold so we sent it back. Waiter was no where to be found a lot. Small portions. Dry bread, dry steak and dry fish. NEVER AGAIN
Our server was the best. Loved her she went above and beyond
