   Came here for our wedding anniversary. It was a GREAT experience. Our server was awesome (I wish I could remember his name). Everything was great… I just think it’s overpriced. For the same amount of money, we could have gotten MORE of the same quality of everything, at other restaurants. 🤷‍♂️

   The server was great until he wasn’t and became very rude and dismissive. They were out of the steak that I wanted. It just was way over priced for what we got. Very disappointed

   We ordered the Delmonico steak, macaroni and cheese and market veggies. The food was delicious. Steak was cooked medium rare and excellent. Overall, the food was great. We just didn’t love the service. We got there a little early, thinking we would take advantage of happy hour before our seating. However, they seated us early and so we got happy hour at the table. Our waiter said he knew nothing about the happy hour menu and proceeded to take it away. We asked for it back. He really didn’t want anything to do with happy hour. Overall, it just left a bad impression. And the happy hour menu really was just part of the bigger menu. For as much as the restaurant costs, we expected impeccable service.

    The service was horrendous. The food just decent (nothing special at all.) The server was so short with us and put absolutely no effort into customer service. He never came back to check on us after the food was delivered (it was not a busy time.) And it felt like us being there was a bother to him? When it was time to pay the bill he said “so are you paying cash or what?” Extremely rude and unprofessional. Not the first time the service has been awful here- I would recommend dining at Cowboy Star or another of the local steakhouses that always deliver with both their service and food.

    The East coast oysters 🦪were underwhelming- but maybe I should have gone West coast being in San Diego 🤔 The short rib was delicious! And the bread 🍞 topped with a blue cheese butter 🧈the winner 🏆

    Service was good but food was too expensive for what you got. The $175 waygu steak filet was mostly gristle and fat than actual meat. The sides of truffle fries and mashed potatoes were not that good. The only thing I really enjoyed was the free bread and caesar salad but the caesar was not much different than a basic caesar salad. The bathrooms were not that clean. My husband said the men’s restroom was need of a bathroom attendant for the scale of this restaurant. He said the trash was overflowing, broken urinals, and foul smells (no air freshener). the ambience inside was not that special besides lit up trees. I was hoping for more for how much I paid.

    We usually have STK's regular steaks, filet for my wife, spinalis for me. However, this time they had A5 for each. Not sure if we just got unlucky, or the A5 quality of their source isn't as good, but the A5 beef was *much* grislier with thicker (rather than fine) veins of fat. It was chewy. So my recommendation is skip the A5, and stick with their regular beef - which is *very* good. At least until they can improve their A5 quality.

    It was great service!! They were accommodating with the size of our party and having to move the time at an earlier slot. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive to suggesting on the menu options. We celebrated our son’s graduation from SDSU. The food was cooked to perfection! The drinks were on point! Great music too!

    Amazing service, amazing food and amazing drinks. Look forward to visiting again someday. Manager and server went out of their way to make us feel accommodated. Definitely left a lasting impression.

    Total garbage. The shrimp was so overdone it was basically inedible; the manager was GREAT, we saw him more often than our waiter. Our waiter only seemed concerned with pumping up the tab to get a better tip (sorry bud, that worked in reverse). It took 25 minutes past our reservation time to finally get a table. The appetizers came our before any of the drinks (and they screwed up a super simple drink order too). The oysters had shell fragments. I had the waygu steak which was super good. If it wasn’t for the constant efforts of the hero manager in the light gray suite we would have sent our receipt to the restaurant group with a written complaint. Oh, and the receptionist with so much lip gloss it looked like her lips were made out of actual plastic, threw enough attitude that we briefly wondered if she had an actual human pulse.

    A little too loud with the music. Didn’t expect to be eating inside of dance club. Not a place to take a business client at least on Friday. Other than that it was good. Just tone down the volume on the tunes a little bit.

    I celebrated my birthday dinner at STK. It was a great experience and our waiter, AJ was amazing! His service and friendliness was outstanding. He went above and beyond to make it a fabulous night! I will def be back!

    Love the vibe, being put at ease, relaxing while being spoilt with one of if not the best Steaks in SD! Rafael took care of us. He is an intricate part of STK and the evening wouldn't be the same without him.... All round 5, stars, give it a go, you will go back, we do!

    Our first trip since the pandemic started. San Diego was a gem and I picked STK since so many of my friends love it in Atlanta. STK in San Diego was everything that I imagined. Loved the love DJ. Service was excellent and the ambiance is great for an adult well dressed date! Our dinner was delectable as was the presentation. The food, decor and ambiance commands an upscale clientele.

    I didn’t like when even making reservation and be on the time they ask 15mins before I wait until 20 mins after my reservation time that mean I wait 35 mins to be seated Not nice when you make reservation and spend over $1,000 dinner Stk look on having better service getting the costumers

    Upon arrival, we were sat in the back room at a corner. It felt like we were placed in a timeout. I asked the manager to change our seat and he graciously did. As we were being seated, my wife asked the Hostess for a paper napkin. The Hostess told us they don’t have any paper napkin. I asked her if she could check at the bar as they have the paper napkins at the bar. She obliged and was able to find napkins. Without stating the obvious, this is not a 4 or 5 star quality restaurant. After we were taken to our table, we were left with no waiter. 2 different waiters passed us without any acknowledgement. Finally the 3rd waiter noticed we have been sitting there for some time. He apologized and took our order. We had a server that brought our food in from the Kitchen. She was as dead as she could be. Very cold, barely any smile. When we asked her to take a photo, at first she ignored us, and when asked again, she made it clear that she is being forced into taking a photo and the photos were horribly taken. in this day and age not knowing how to take a photo? I don’t buy that! It’s juts bad attitude! The Jalapeño Shrimp Cocktail was not fresh at all, 1 out of 5. Ahi Tartar and Calamari were good, 5 out of 5. The Burger was great. The Tomahawk had an after taste. We had to mask it with massive amount of sauce. 1 out of 5. The Truffle fries had barely any truffle on it, and was hard in the middle. The manager came by and apologized and brought another one. The second one was eatable, 3 out of 5. The Spanish Cream was terrible. 1 out to 5. Music by the DJ was great. But the Sax player was out of rhythm and his Sax overpowered the nice music. A second manager came by and apologized by never introduced himself. I had to introduce myself to him to remind him of his manners. It was so disappointing that we did not want to order deserts. Our waiter was great. He recognized we were very disappointed.

    Took my 82 year old Grandmother for mothers day! Her only complaints were the waiter didn’t check on us enough and it’s tragic they don't have Valet for such a nice restaurant. There are hotels around but they were all at capacity for valet for non hotel guest so I had to drop her off and walk 2 blocks. Food was amazing as always! My fav location besides ATL.
