Having dined several times at STK Las Vegas, I chose this location on a Sunday evening as a place to bring several international business guests from Australia. Unfortunately we were seated in front of a very very loud and increasingly obnoxious large party and directly below the very warm fireplace in the front seating section.
The drinks and side dishes we ordered were delicious. Unfortunately I ordered the 16oz sirloin, med-rare, but it came nearly raw and I was barely able to cut it with the steak knife due to the amount of cartilage.
While my customers did not have complaints with their steaks (fillet/sirloin), the noise level due to the party near us made it nearly impossible for a business conversation.
Having spent nearly $400 for 3 people, I was disappointed overall.
I won’t be back and I won’t recommend STK Midtown.
Surprise birthday dinner for boyfriend. It took awhile to be seated even though we had a reservation. However they more than made up for it with two glasses of champagne on the house and our amazing waitstaff.
Very lively. Great food. Young.
The food, the ambiance, the food service, great as expected. (Been here before with a big group.) This time we arrived 20 mins before our reserved time (because we had to consciously leave for the Restaurant earlier anticipating traffic due to the weather condition -sleet/snow.) Understandable people would be coming in late. But what I didn't understand was the couple who arrived
almost the same time as us, obviously they're almost an hour late(overheard their reservation time,) had to be seated long before us, while we had to be seated almost an hour later of our reserved time, this after we went and checked with the receptionists. I felt that we had to suffer for other people's lateness. I believe that you should have paid more attention to those who came earlier or on time. Those who came LATE will have to wait bec they lost their reservation (obviously,) just like what your website says- YOU HOLD RESERVATIONS for 15 mins . on busier days. You should stick to your rules.
My first time here. Have been to the MeatPacking location several times, which was alway a hit. Everything but the main course. ThePorterhouse for two disappointed. Honestly we didn’t recognize the meat. We asked or medium and they meat appeared to be old, not seasoned well and thus tasteless. So I’d come for appetizers next time with drinks only.
Paid $250 to be surrounded by kids playing with crayons. Big turn off.
Steak and lobster were top notch.
Service was average.
Overall experience 2.5- 3
Ari greeted us warmly at the door and asked if we had any time constraints. She assured us we would make our theater date. She came by and checked on us and was very professional and friendly. Our waiter Marcus was very helpful when asked about a specialty cocktail and suggestions for dinner and sides. He was very attentive and took great care of us throughout the evening. Our experience was made all the more special by starting our theater date off at STK! We will be back for that corn pudding, ambiance, perfectly prepared steaks and warm service!
It was brilliant. As always staff are incredible by unfortunately kitchen closed due to a grill problem and we couldn’t get lunch. Drinks were good though.
Great food- live environment. Definitely a great place to go for dinner friends or significant other.
It was pretty loud at STK Midtown as it was Happy Hour I guess with a DJ playing music. Service was good in the beginning but as we got 1/2 way towards the end of the meal, our waitress was hardly around. We were ready for dessert but because so much time passed and didn’t get the dessert menu, I just asked for the check, paid then left.
We waited 35 minutes to be seated, not to mention that we have booked and pre called in advance
Valentines Day. Everyone around us received roses - we were sat right in front of an open bar under a speaker and felt we were just casual diners. Wine glasses were not taken until half way through meal even though we ordered soft drinks.
Soft drinks $5 for a tiny glass no refill offered.
My partner was missing his side plate. Had to ask and then received a larger plate.
Steak was fine as usual and expected but let down by overall experience.
Offered Valentines special dessert. Very bad - nowhere near the value what we found out to be $22 when the bill came. Extortionate.
Have dined with STK a few times in Vegas and in the meat packing district, NYC. By far, the midtown location is the worst. What a let down.
Even though I had reservations I still waited about 15-20 minutes but overall good experience. I ordered the chicken and didn’t like it they switched my meal with no problem. The waitress was great ... I will be returning
Food was great! Went for Valentine's day, went after 9pm and there's a DJ spinning some good music which made the experience very nice. Service was great from the door. Really enjoyed, we drove from Maryland to have dinner in NYC.
The music was awesome, the food was even better, i would definitely go back
We enjoyed our experience up until a large, boisterous party was seated at the table next to us. Not only were they ridiculously loud, they dominated our server’s time. Our dinner was served right around the time the large party was ordering wine for their table. We never saw our server again until we were done eating and our dishes were cleared. It was obvious the other table was going to spend more money than we were, so that’s where our server focused his attention. Very disappointing, especially considering we spent over $400 for our party of four.
Also disappointing was the fact we were celebrating a birthday, and even though we mentioned that when making our reservation on Open Table, our server never once acknowledged it.
Everything was great! I just wish our server was a little more attentive with us, we waited a long period of time for dessert and to find our waiter to ask for a to go box and the check. Besides the long interval waits for our waiters attention, the food was amazing, the entree came out as soon as we were done with our appetizers (perfect timing) which I appreciated. The DJ played great music I haven’t heard since the 90’s+. Definitely a great time!
I had actually booked this location by accident and meant to do the Downtown location (MORE FUN, LOUD & LIVELY, SUPER INTERACTIVE DJ!) , but the midtown location was great for INTIMACY, A LITTLE MUSIC & CONVERSATION for Date night! We went for Restaurant week, which the menu was fair( however the better items came with an extra supplemental fee so expect to spend more if going to restaurant week), but ended up ordering from the regular menu. I loved the diversity of the staff & clientele, as well as music selection. We ended up spending $250 (including tip) which was fair for the well known location, but definitely the drinks were overpriced!
I was so disappointed at this restaurant. STK is supposed to have a reputation but I was definitely let down. We went late so I wasn't surprised when the hostess made us wait for a table and we didn't mind but the attitude from the hostess left us ALL in shock. I'd rather eat at a place that has subpar food and friendly staff than at STK ever again. The food was ok but when greeted with such rudeness it definitely wasn't worth it. It's NYC and there's a million other places soo I will not be returning.
Nice ambiance and energy; however, the quality of the food was subpar.
Great food, good atmosphere
Loved every moment of our experience except that needed to ask for waters to be refilled 3 times and all glasses at the table were empty each of those times.
Birthday dinner. Everyone has so much fun. Excellent food, staff, and amazing atmosphere.
Great steak, excellent wine and what an atmosphere! Had a great time 👍
Had to wait 30 mins to sit. Music got very loud so it was hard to have a convo at table.
The food was excellent, but the service from the front desk to server was poor.
Went for restaurant week, and the waiter was rude to us once we asked for a restaurant week menu. Note there were 20 people in the whole place when we first got there at 5:15. Our original waiter seemed to be offended by us and walked off. Ended up ordering off the regular menu as well, and with a different waiter that was much nicer. Food was great, definitely a hot spot, dj, cool modern vibe, happening place on a Thursday night!
I have been here several times at this location and in the meat packing district and always enjoyed food and experience
This time it was restaurant week. Service was horrible , food was bland and nothing special.
When we complained to manager, he did not offer to do anything .
My colleagues and I will not be back,
Not at all what I would’ve expected. The hosts sat us 45 minutes after our reservation, after seating 3 groups with the same time slot AHEAD of us. It wasn’t until I glared for the 10th time that they realized they had made a mistake. There was clearly open tables but they only had one or two bussers working. When we got to the table we had a waiter wait on us, then totally disappeared without even announcing it to us, followed by another lovely server coming and taking care of us which is honestly the only reason this review isn’t one star. The food was good, but I would not say it was spectacular. There was too much of a delay between courses when the restaurant wasn’t even that busy when we finally had gotten seated. We were seated at roughly 10:15 and didn’t get out of there until midnight. Really frustrating to have a restaurant be so inconsiderate of your time and not even acknowledge the fact that they made mistakes.
Great experience. Definitely recommend a return to family and friends
