STK artfully blends two concepts into one—the modern steakhouse and a chic lounge. A large central lounge area is furnished with creamy leather banquettes and textured crocodile tiles, and is surrounded by an elevated dining room for more formal dining. Theatrical lights illuminate each table, while a DJ creates an energetic vibe throughout the entire space. STK Midtown is located in Midtown Manhattan, just steps from the bustling Theatre District. STK Midtown includes an outdoor patio and separate bar during summer months. As anticipated, steak is the main attraction. I was the only person dining at 10:15am, most waiters and waitresses were still busy setting up, I told them I had a reservation at 10am, still got passed around 3 times between them before someone finally sat me down. Food was good but over priced compared to what else around. Steak was no different to non steak house but at least the truffle chips came in mega portion.

Let me just start off by saying I love STK, I love the brand. I always go to the location in Nashville, Tennessee because they have excellent service and the food is absolutely amazing. So I thought it would’ve been the same going to this location in New York, but I couldn’t be more wrong. This has to be one of the worst experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant. I booked this reservation for my birthday. I booked a month in advance and had two special request because it was my birthday. Needless to say none of those request was me all I got was the lady at the door asked me if it was my birthday and that was it. No one acknowledge that this was my birthday dinner. After getting so irritated I asked my waiter. Don’t you guys acknowledge when it’s someone birthday she proceed to say yes we usually do it at the end once they’re finished dining. We barely had anything. That makes absolute no sense and that was straight up BS because they did not remember that it was my birthday. I’m so angry. They literally ruined my birthday because this dinner was supposed to be the highlight. I will be reaching out to corporate to get to the bottom of this because this is unacceptable and this is not the service. I know STK used to given. I will never ever ever go here and d the way they had a situation was ridiculous.

STK is always delicious, the vibes are great. The ambience is amazing! However, our server Cameron was very rude, abrupt and aggressive! He took our plate away from us when we weren’t done eating after we paid the bill because he didn’t like his tip #Recession #Inflation. He then proceeded to go and talk about us after the fact to his coworkers behind the bar! I complained to two other employees and they told us that this is not the first or second complaint that they’ve gotten about Cameron! He was also very rude to our neighboring guest about their IDs, but never even checked ours! #ClockIt. I expected better.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Had an unforgettable experience at STK Midtown! Special shoutout to Selin—the bosslady herself—for going above and beyond. Her passion for hospitality was unmatched and she truly made us feel like VIPs from start to finish. Our large group was graciously seated in a private room, and Selin made it her mission to ensure our birthday celebration was nothing short of perfect. The level of care, attention, and luxury she provided was next level. And let’s not forget the food—absolutely incredible. This wasn’t just dinner, it was an experience. Grateful beyond words and I’ll be returning again and again and again. If you’re thinking of visiting STK Midtown—do it. Five-star service, guaranteed.

Very good experience overall. Not my favorite filet, but it was good. Ambiance was excellent, but you have to enjoy a lively vibe. Recommend? Yes!

Food and ambiance great! Service was a bit lacking but it was lunchtime and perhaps leaving us alone since business meal. Usually expect more attentiveness for a restaurant of this caliber. likely a one off would go back!

Disappointing Experience at STK Manhattan As a longtime fan of STK, I was excited to try the Manhattan location after having amazing meals at other STKs, including Vegas just a week prior. Unfortunately, this visit was a major letdown. We started with cocktails — my go-to espresso martini came out room temperature and completely flat with no foam. My husband’s old fashioned was served with crushed ice... which felt more dive bar than steakhouse. We switched to wine almost immediately. We planned to order appetizers first, then dinner, but were told the entire order had to be placed at once. Strange. We always love the sea bass appetizer, but this one was bland, underseasoned, and lacked the usual seared crust that makes it a standout at other locations. One of the signature highlights at STK is the warm bread with blue cheese butter — delicious if you like blue cheese. I asked if I could get it with regular butter instead. What came out was bread with steak sauce on it. When I asked again for plain butter, I was brought melted butter — and then told they didn’t have regular butter at all? Very odd for a restaurant at this price point. Throughout the meal, there was a constant upsell push, add-ons, upgrades, to the point that it started to feel like we were at Outback, not a premium steakhouse. The mains were equally disappointing. We ordered the porterhouse and the tomahawk — both underwhelming and lacking any real flavor or crust. The "charred" Brussels sprouts were pale and soggy — not a trace of char. We were a party of five, and our bill came to around $1,000. We love great food and don't mind paying for it — but this simply wasn’t it. STK Manhattan did not meet the usual STK standards in food quality, execution, or experience. If you’re coming here, maybe stop by for happy hour, stick to wine or beer, and keep expectations in check. Otherwise, there are far better dining options in NYC at this price point.

We sat down at 5:30pm and for 20 minutes didn’t get acknowledged at all not even for water. We were sitting outside, I went inside to speak to a manager to let them know and also that several people who sat down after us were being serviced. The manager looked uninterested and said she would send a server from inside since they were understaffed. The sever came within 5 minutes and was trying to be to rush us to take our order. When I expressed the lack of service we have been experiencing he had every excuse in the book. Non of which justify why others were being served and not us. A few groups that sat down after us had their drinks already. After he took our order we waited another 30 minutes so at that point we decided to leave while the same other tables were receiving their food. The lack of accountability for what seemed to be the fact that our table was ignored was very frustrating. Being understaffed is one thing, ignoring a table is another, because I saw a table while we were waiting for our drinks, sit down and get their drinks within 10 minutes. Will never be back! Would never recommend!

Yesterday was my birthday so hubby took me to dinner. The first waitress didn’t introduce herself didn’t smile she asked what do you want to drink do you know what you want to eat. In a very rush way & not kind at all. I spoke with manager to change the waitress. The second waiter never came to the table to ask how our meal was or to see if we needed anything so we had no clue who he was when he came & asks if we wanted to order dessert. Honestly the ambience was the only good thing about the place very small portions of food music a little too loud to hear. Would only recommend for drinks not dining in.
