My husband and I came to STK to celebrate our wedding 02.21.21. Our server Sergy made good recommendations for drinks I had the spicy watermelon margarita ( minus the jalapeños). The general manger Joe came over to our table to congratulate us on our wedding. We definitely will visit them again. Btw the mashed potatoes and the tomahawk steak was also a hit. To top it off Sergy brought us a Complementary cookie with ice cream to celebrate. Thanks again Mr.& Mrs. Castro
Sergey was a cool guy. A bit rushy but other than that pretty cool. I ordered a NY Strip and brussel sprouts. It was tough, flavorless and slightly overcooked and the brusse sprouts had the consistendy of mushrooms, which was weird. I didnt complain but it did take me about 45 minutes to eat it bc it wasnt enjoyable. My date had the short rib which was way better than the steak!! Drinks were good. All and all a decent experience. I would recommend STK to a friend just not this location.

Love STK, but this was a subpar experience, which might be due to managing outside service. We sat outside in a cozy heated booth. Our waitress was very nice and accommodating, but we waited 20 minutes for a drink, never received our wine to have with our steak, and our steak arrived cold. Just a lot to spend on a meal that was far from excellent. We did not ask but should have been comped something.
I keep coming back because my experience never varies. It is wonderful every single time. They were personable, kind, and the vibes were right. Nick, our server, was amazing! He may be new.. but they did a great job hiring him. He was sweet, had a great sense of humor and was attentive. The ambience was memorable, their musical selection pre and post DJ was on point. Will definitely go back.
We came for brunch and dined indoors for the first time since restaurants started indoor seating again due to COVID. The service was painfully slow for such limited seating. It took an hour to get our food from the time we ordered. I will say the brunch menu was nice and the food was good. When the food arrived, we ordered a glass of champagne to go with our meal. It took so long that we were on the last bite of our food by the time it finally arrived, and I'm a pretty slow eater. Good food, good booze, I just wouldn't recommend it if you don't have 2 hours to kill for lunch.
I came in from out of town on a snowy day , called on the phone , receptionist was not to friendly, parking very far, entrance on the other side of the building, had to walk very far, made it after the reservation and was told I could not come in even though I called and to tell them . Bad service

Porterhouse exceeded my expectations and preconceived notions, ten-fold. Don’t be fooled by the “clubby” atmosphere should it not be your scene. Give the food at STK a chance. You won’t be disappointed. Steak is of excellent caliber. Everything we ate was fresh and delicious (even the Caesar salad was amazing. Also the Mac and cheese was phenomenal). When it comes to steak, I’m pretentious, and STK is now on my top 5 in NYC. Will be returning soon!

Nick took incredible care of us! He was so attentive, informative, and inviting. As we looked over the menu, Nick was more than willing to offer recommendations (which I must add were EXCELLENT choices). This was our first time at STK and most certainly will not be our last! Food was superb, drinks were well-crafted; however, Nick’s service is what would bring us back!
It was my boyfriends first time coming to this restaurant. Since my first experience was so good we decided to come here for Valentine’s Day. We was not pleased at all with dining in at this restaurant. We had a reservation at 9:45pm and instead of being seated we had to stand on line. We made a reservation to avoid a wait and especially because me standing for so long because I am 7 months pregnant. When we got to the front of the line it was still a wait. So we decided to sit outside and it took almost 2 hours to receive our food. You would think they would rush the food out since we decided to sit outside to avoid extra wait time. When we finally got our food we ended up asking for the check and Togo boxes because the night was pretty much ruined because of poor communication to let use know they was backed up with seating and the food. it’s not what we expected. We paid the whole bill we didn’t get no discount for the convenience.

My boyfriend and I had the most traumatizing and worst experience ever at STK for Valentine’s Day!! I booked a reservation online the day NYC indoor dining was announced on 1/29 and even called the restaurant to make sure I would be seated inside. We paid a $200 deposit and of course they were quick to charge but didn’t inform us of what we were going to deal with. We came all the way from NJ Our reservation was at 8:30 pm and we got there at 8:15pm, when we arrived a rude hostess pointed to a long line and I honestly thought it was a joke. There was about 50 couples on the line just as confused as we were. It was freezing cold, I had a dress on and high heels on I actually felt numb after a while. No one ever came out to explain what was going on. As we got closer to the door the security guard or whatever he was explained they got over booked. How was that our fault? It was also extremely ghetto to say the least, people were arguing and it was just disgusting. The hostess would come out and say “next party of 2” we were all so bothered by how unorganized and inconsiderate STK and their staff was by them calling the next party this way. People were skipping, they didn’t even bother to call by name. It was truly chaos and a bad experience. We got seated at 9:40 pm (an hr and 15 mins outside freezing) we got to our seat we couldn’t even feel our toes or hands. Nobody bothered to come to the table to apologize or even offer a discount or anything complimentary. The lobster mac and cheese was salty, the truffle fries were burnt. It was a nightmare and we just couldn’t wait to leave. The music was extremely loud like if it was a nightclub. We couldn’t believe we had to put down a $200 deposit it was not worth it at all. I will never recommend this place or come here again, alot of my friends and colleagues usually go to STK for business meetings etc. Our Valentine’s Day got ruined and I never thought such a high end restaurant would treat us this way.
Dined in for Valentine’s Day. It was the worst part of my date. I paid the $200 deposit and had a reservation for about 8:30. I arrived at about 8:15 I realIzed there was long line around the block. When I asked the people on the line, that was the line for reservations. My date and I waited in 30 degree wind and cold for about 1 hour and a half. I had heels on and a dress. I was freezing and hungry. It was greedy of the restaurant to overbook and take $200 deposits and guest had to wait over an hour for a table. Never will come here again.
Food was amazing, server was amazing but I was not happy at all.
Restaurant over booked
We had an 830 reservation as did 100 other people. We were online since 830 and did not get inside to check in until 10 o’clock. We did not get seated until 10:30. Valentine’s Day is always a busy holiday. We had booked this day since December. The restaurant wanted to make money and decided to overbook! Unacceptable
We had an amazing waiter he was wonderful. Also very good food and ambiance.
We were seated an hour and a half after our reservation time after being told that open table overbooked reservations and that they couldn’t accommodate all guests even if they had booked reservations and paid deposits. We were told to “go complain to open table” and no compensation was given. Bad experience would not recommend.
The worst dining experience of my life. After waiting 1.5 hours just to sit at a table I pre-reserved and prepaid for. After finally sitting I was given poor service and over an hour wait for entrees. When the entrees came they were cold and disgusting. Manager came to apologize where I promptly told him I’d rather die of hunger than eat at this establishment again ever in my life.
I made reservations but I still had to wait outside in the cold to be seated. My wife and I waited so long that I opted to eat outside in order to take a seat sooner. We were hoping to sit by a heater to avoid possibly getting sick. My wife even began to shiver and cry due to the cold air. There was no ambiance and both our feet were frozen by the end of the night.
To add to the terrible night I asked for a medium-well cowgirl ribeye, but was given a medium-rare steak. I sent the steak back, and was then given a dry medium steak (Burnt/Tough on the outside & very pink on the inside). After all of this I was complemented with a $400 bill. Needless to say I will not be going back to STK.
Watch out they overbook and had over 60 people waiting in the cold for over an hour even if they had a reservation. They made us put down a $200 deposit to reserve a table and still could not sit us after waiting over an hour. Shocked that I now have to dispute the charge to get my deposit back as no one would pick up the phone at the restaurant. If they require a $200 deposit for a table should they refund me and give me $200 back as I traveled into the city and waited in the cold to dine with them and they weren’t able to honor their booking?
Stk overbooked and made us wait hours before getting in and didnt make us a priority
This was absolutely terrible. Opentable over booked Stk. despite having a reservation for 7pm, we were made to wait outside in the freezing cold with no information as to what’s going on for 1.5hours. We were not told in advance which would at least ensure we were wearing appropriate clothing to stand outside for 1.5 hours.
The staff were clearly stressed which majorly impacted the level of service. This was overal a really disappointing valentines experience for me and my girlfriend.

George the tall African American I am a server and I work at the best spot in nyc I really did not like his attitude we had a 6 top and was talking to him and he was there because he got time there but when you go to a place to want to feel welcome but they need to updated him the host got us a table we had a blast but you have to feel welcome when you ready to spend over 1500 on a 6 tops table like he was like not into nothing told him take a ppl of us is our anniversary and he didn’t he was like later I was like how things change only left him 18 percent but I always give 22 or 25 percent but everything else awesome food the ribeye smell a little off but nice dj and the whole host time made ppl feel awesome and one busser pabelz is truly amazing got us bread and always check up on us the server he told him about the bread and made a face like I been going there for years and this opening the 14 of February I did not let that affect me.

Came here Valentines Day evening 2/14/21. They overbooked so my date and I had to wait online outside in the freezing cold. Reservation was for 6pm we didnt get seated until almost 7pm. Great thing is that we were able to sit inside and enjoy the ambiance of the restaurant, very beautiful inside great place to woo your date. The waitress came right away. We ordered the calamari for the appetizer but it never came :( waitress did remove it from the bill. Everything else came perfectly cooked. The steak was delicious and my date enjoyed her king salmon as well. Prices were a bit over the top but its what you pay for the location so expect to pay $$$. DJ make the experience even better, he had a great playlist and with some drinks it made it even better. Great one time experience for an occasion . Not sure if id be back again.
We went for Valentine’s Day but the check in process at the door for reservations was super confusing. After a long wait, we were seated 45 minutes after our reservation time (that was booked with a $200 deposit up front). The door man made things super confusing to even “check in” for your reservation. Once inside though, we had a super sweet waitress and great service. The food was good enough for the price.
They’re were plenty of employees working but it did seem that everyone was “overstepping” each other and there was lack of coordination to get people screened and seated.

I think it was a bit overpriced for the quality of the food. I've definitely had much better steaks at other restaurants in NYC for less. Seems a bit overhyped.

Arrived 45min early and was told we had to sit outside or we may not be able to be seated for our reservation time. It was freezing cold and as soon as the food hit the table it was cold as well. My server was amazing but I wouldn’t recommend STK to friends and family 1st impressions are crucial and I was not at all satisfied. Didn’t even stay to enjoy our meal kinda ruined our entire night. What a way to celebrate our 2nd anniversary
Made reservations and still had to wait an hour. Waitress was the worst waitress i ever had.. Received our food extremely late. Waitress kept lying to us about the menu. Thank god for the manager who helped us. Ordered a to go meal, before we got the check and didn’t get that order until an hour and a half later after we payed already. Our waitress had left our order sitting on a different table the whole time while we was waiting.
