STK - NYC - Midtown

My friend and I met up for happy hour which was from 3:30pm-6:30pm. The outdoor dining definitely improved with portable heaters placed near each table. Keep in mind that the all people in the party needs to be present in order to be seated. Once we were seated our server Kenny started the heaters which definitely warmed up the area. He was friendly and real who ensured that we were happy and satisfied.

This time I had the aperol spritz which was pretty large for 1/2 happy hour prices. I had to order the lil' burger and fries along with the tater tots. In addition I ordered the fried calamari which definitely hit the spot.

My friend and I were happy with orders and it was just right. This is once again a great spot for good specialty cocktails and food tasting discounts.

Service was horrible, waiter rarely checked on us, we never got water, messed up the order. Went for a birthday dinner and wasn’t even acknowledged for my birthday.. everything was rushed. Food was not good, the bread tasted stale. I understand things are different but if you’re in a service industry than you should provide service as best as you can. Not checking on your table is a recipe for bad service no matter what. Was hoping for a good experience but didn’t get that at all.

One of my favorite spots to go to in the city. The outdoor set up was beautiful and quite warm! The food and drinks are always on point, I have never been disappointed.

Outdoor seating was nice. Heater was super effective. Service was top notch as usual and food was great. Great option for outdoor dining.

$500 meal and before we even sat down we were told we have 90 minutes to eat! WTF? Who says that? . Slow service. Cold food. I get it...covid and it’s outdoor dining in heated tent. But food can still be warm! Never again! At least bring the cocktail out within 15 minutes! I want to support restaurants now but there needs to still be a service level at higher end restaurants.

Everything was ok but I felt rushed. I got there at 8:45PM
But was rushed right away to order and leave . The food wasn’t even great and I been to other STK’S in the U.S.
The staff was rude or anything but I didn’t like the feeling of being rushed to get out of the restaurant. I order the food and it took 10 minutes for the food to arrive and it wasn’t that good. Normally it takes them about 20/30
Minutes and that gives me time to enjoy my self but not this time.

It was a great evening/dinner with my wife and son for his 20th birthday. Food was great and the service was solid. It was a little chilly around the our legs.

My only complaint at the end of the dinner, I asked the server about getting the namesake pen and he said no. Not that STK Midtown owed me anything other what they provided, I don’t think giving customer that just paid a check for $400.00+ a pen is out of the question.

That did leave a sour taste in my mouth!

AMAZING. During NYC's COVID shutdown where indoor dining was banned, STK did a phenomenal job setting up their outdoor dining. Unlike other restaurant setups that looked like temporary pop-ups, STK's outdoor setup design and heaters really were incredible. We were so impressed with the ambiance, layout and socially distanced setup that we would have forgiven a bad meal. But the food and drinks were AMAZING as well! Wonderful service... oh, and after each seating, they'd spray down the entire area with a power-disinfector. Felt very very safe!

A real gem in mid-town. Great menu, wine list, and service in the midst of covid-19 - you can’t beat this place. Well done.

Food was outstanding! Especially the salmon and the NY strip. Our server Enriques was very helpful and amazing! Can’t wait to come back

Went during covid outdoor dining. All things considered it was a okay meal. Not sure if my experience will be the same as others of indoor dining ever opens back up but here are some points to be taken with a grain of salt given current conditions:
-Service was slow (like 30 minutes to get our first drink slow, but after first drinks and app the pace picked up a little).
-Expensive for what you get (2 people our bill came to ~$320). I’m
Okay with an expensive steakhouse if it lives up to the hype, unfortunately the food fell a little flat. Not bad, but definitely not steakhouse quality.
My steak (filet) was over cooked and the side of brussel sprouts was a mix of totally burnt pieces and raw pieces. Boyfriends steak was great (dry aged ribeye). Also had a Mac and cheese side which was good but nothing special.
- Overall weird atmosphere. There was a 90s/2000s rap/R&B playlist that was extremely loud. (Some great throwbacks! But weird vibe for a supposedly upscale restaurant) We were very warm and toasty under their heaters! They brought over 2 for our little 2 person table. (It was ~34 degrees out and I wasn’t cold at all).

Overall not worth it considering the price and the lack of service and would not recommend unless maybe you’re just hitting up happy hour.

Although it was outdoor dining and pretty chilly, the dinner was great.

Our server was nice and helpful. However, our server did not seem to have help. Our food took a long time to arrive and no one came back to refill water. We had to wait to get the check.

Enrique was a great waiter! Great service and great food! Will definitely be back!

This place is amazing!! Our server less was amazing! By far my best dinning experience!

I went there with my wife and it was an amazing experience.

The food was very good, customer service was ok, the table we were sitting was wobbling back and forth and had to ask for adjustment. There was an open booth that we requested to be seated at but they said it was reserved, we sat ate and left and that same booth was still empty. The outside ambience was poor because of the wind and location of the table. The day earlier we were at Benjamin Stakes and did not have this issues. But the food was good.

The food was the best and the service excellent, Mrs. Isela was the waitress and was very attentive and helpful with our children.

I don’t usual write reviews, but this has to be the worst steakhouse in Manhattan. Service was shockingly bad, which going by reviews I wasn’t expecting it to be great, but it was mind blowing bad. They sat us at our table first, and we had to wait for them to turn heater on, another table kept asking them too. It was freezing. We waiting a long time to give our order. We ordered French fries and mash with our steak, and they gave us truffle friend and Parmesan mash, when we said we didn’t ask for this, they said oh that’s how they come. They didn’t attempt to try to fix our order. Other people had reg fries, they just couldn’t be bothered to fix their mistake. Everything took so long. Food was average, service was horrific. There are many lovely steakhouses in New York, do not go to this one.

We went for New Year’s Eve dinner. They have a great outdoor set up with covered areas. They have plenty of heat lamps and do a great job of proving great service. The food was excellent and the staff did a great job.

Les was a great server, provided food recommendations based on our drinks, and very accommodating to walk us through STKs outdoor dining experience. We’ll definitely be back!

Our server Isela was excellent. We went with her recommendations and we couldn't have been more happier with what we ordered.

They did a great job for outdoor dining it was cold but the heater was sufficient and our meal was delicious!

Only the oysters were good quality and value. Rest of the food was average at best and completely overpriced.
