Excellent services and food! Can’t wait to the opening of STK in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
From the moment you walk into STK Midtown you’re engulfed in a sexy upscale environment. The lovely Ari is there to greet and seat you (dressed like she floated off the runway (always). You’re escorted to your table and greeted by inviting staff (like Markus). The menu is high end steak house and the wine list is incredible. The food is always on point and the service is swift, professional and detail oriented. If you’re lucky enough to meet Danielle Hill, you’ll be greeted with a warm smile and a truly engaging personality. She cares about your STK experience and does whatever needs to be done to ensure your experience is nothing short of first class. There’s a reason we travel three hours to celebrate our special occasions at STK midtown... it’s worth it! If you’ve had a disappointing experience at an alternate STK, don’t allow it to stop you from checking out the Midtown location. We’ve been to a few different locations and none compare to the quality and service of STK Midtown. A heartfelt thank you to the incredible staff. We will be back, again and again.
Everything we ordered on the menu was AMAZING. Very flavorful. Marcus our waiter provided excellent service and excellent descriptions of the menu selection. Bacon starter , casino lobster , bone in filet, truffle butter, crab Mac and cheese was more than me and my girlfriend expected ! Amazingly delicious. Can’t forget the drinks ! Perfect ! Tasted like an island vacation! Really good. Yes it’s expensive but it’s Well Worth it!! I will definitely be coming back ! STK 5 stars all around
While a little on the pricey side, this restaurant is a great choice for special occasions. Food was great, and our waiter was very attentive. Happy hour also appeared to be lively, and with good deals and food.
Loved our meal. They have sauces, but the steak was perfect and did not need a sauce.
Celebrated my boyfriends birthday had an amazing time! Felt very welcomed as I came in a little late, music was great food was great definitely worth it! Thank you
Food was less than average Lots of construction noise
The steak was over cooked! Had to be sent back - in a steak restaurant- really?!
Great venue but on the noisy side - akin to a night club. Food was good.
Very pricey, but a great vibe with DJ playing good music at a comfy level!
Food was excellent
Thank you for your review. We are happy that you enjoyed the Food and the Music
Great food and service. Too noisy...DJ in a steak house. Seating was crowded.
My wife and I arrived at the restaurant and we're seated immediately the reservation was honored at once. The way that came by immediately and together our drink order. We decided to share a Delmonico steak at $72 and a Caesar salad at 17.
We added creamed spinach. The Caesar salad arrived and while small was enough for the two of us well-dressed very crisp very tasty. Bacon the creamed spinach arrived at the table together and well-presented disappointing though the steak for $72 was about seven slices and most of them were full of fat. The manager came over and quickly agreed to replace it with whatever we wanted and we replaced it with the 10 oz filet mignon which was $68 arrived at the table not shortly after with a fresh new creamed spinach. VODKA on the rocks with $17 and a coke was 5. Dessert with chocolate cake vanilla ice cream and cotton candy which was absolutely superb. Can't complain at all about the food of the service both were excellent I do however think that compared to other steakhouses in New York City the portions were rather small for the money they're charging.
I was highly disappointed. The shrimp cocktail was hard and either over-cooked or still frozen. We received 3 pieces each. The lobster casino was more bread than lobster and for $92 was so not worth the price. We ordered it anyway even after our waiter forewarned us of the breading. The fish was incredibly salty and contrite. My wife and I are not ones for returning food or complaining to our waiters because you never know what will be returned. Therefore, we just simply avoid these places and suggest to our friends to avoid them as well, which is a shame as the décor was the only thing going for this place.
Great atmosphere and better food!!
Service was impeccable. The servers and the hostess was very friendly, attentive and accommodating. The lobster mac and cheese is my favorite side dish and the steak was delish.
Hello thank you for your wonderful review. Have a nice day!
STK is a go-to spot for good conversation, a happening bar scene, or just a couple/group of friends looking for a good steak and a place to commune with each other.
My daughters birthday .
Not super impressed - it’s your typical over priced steakhouse. It started when we arrived and had to wait 10 minutes in the bar with them hoping we’d order drinks. Then the waiter tried to upsell us on everything and was rude when we didn’t bite.
We split steaks and to make it easier, the chef sliced them. However, they didn’t let them rest, so the inside was raw and the outside had the over cooked texture.
Overall, I would not recommend spending a meal here for over $100. There are much better places in New York where you’ll be treated well and leave more satisfied.
Very sexy vibe and great service.
Great meal out and great service
I'm no stranger to the New York City culture and restaurant norms; I've probably taken 50 or so trips to New York City over time. STK-NYC Midtown is in a very convenient location for those wishing pre-theater dining without being right in the bustle of the theater district. It is a wonderful and inviting atmosphere and the staff are all very friendly and responsive. But there are many very nice restaurants in Manhattan and most have equally pleasant and responsive staff and nice atmosphere.
The dissatisfaction that I experienced at STK Midtown had to do with the meal. My wife and I ordered fillets, she ordered hers medium and I medium rare. Both were delivered well done. For steak lovers who do so love the flavor of a good steak this is a stark disappointment. Additionally, my wife ordered a vegetable dish which arrived undercooked to her taste. the waitress offered to re-order which we appreciated. However, the plate did not arrive to our table until after we had completed our meal - and I mean totally completed our meal.
the floor manager did visit the table after we finished our entree o apologize and it waswhile she was there that the plate arrived. We declined saying that the dish was no longer desired. In my experience most even mosderate restaurants would have comped the mish. STK-Midtown did not even with the manager right there knowingn that at least part of our meal was not prepared/delivered or eaten. this I found unacceptable given that we spent about $200 excluding drinks or dessert.
My next trip to NYC will probably be ion about 6 months. I am forgiving and am always willing to offer a second chance however there are really too many options in NYC to risk another try at STK-Midtown.
it was my birthday and i went with my boyfriend !! they gave me a free ice cream that was delicious. (didn’t even ask for it) #stkthebomb!
Sides should be about 10.oo
15 dollars for broccoli and asparagus
Love the ambience
Our server Marcus was very attentive and helped make the dining experience memorable. It was a first for my guests and they are already looking forward to the next visit. Thanks STK!
As always great service and food. Must try the Short Rib Truffle raviolis delish!
STK was a great place to eat and had a real ambient vibe the DJ portrayed in a great way!
We went out for dinner for my birthday and I was not disappointed. The food was great, my steak was cooked perfectly and those truffle Parmesan fries were delicious. Our waitress was excellent and the ambience and decor was lovely. The only negative was a little difficulty trying to find the place...!
Went here for a nice birthday closeout dinner. Everything was pretty good overall. Food was great. Sides were so so. We got the Yukon mashed potatoes and broccolini. Entrees were great!! Atmosphere was good. I just don’t like when it’s two of you they put you at the small tables with no elbow room between you and the next table. Notified them about my ladies birthday and they gave her a scoop of ice cream lol. Wasn’t expecting much but a scoop of ice cream lol.
Lovely restaurant good food although slightly expensive. Felt rushed like they were wanting to turn the table, husband was still eating when they came and cleared our table which I feel is rude.
Food was amazing. Service was top notch. Great for a group of 8. Nice big round tables. Drinks were good too. Get there before 7 for a nice happy hour.
Great food, music and vibe. Will revisit when back in New York.
Took a friend for her first visit on her first trip to New York. The meal and service did not disappoint.
We have come to STK three times now when we are in New York. We were disappointed this time because the music was so loud. The review offers "energetic" as the loudest option, but we would call it distracting. We had a difficult time having a conversation. There were 4 of us, and all agreed the music was too loud.
Ridiculously overpriced. Quality and service are really ok
Great place. Great atmosphere. Great food and dessert.
Ambiance and pricing made me think of a bottle service club or a high-end strip club restaurant. Steaks were very average. I got a chuckle from the menu where they highlight that their steaks come "mostly" from Iowa and Nebraska, where I used to live and still visit often. That's no indicater of high quality meat. My Delmonico was fine but I've bought the same quality in my local store. The ceaser salad was real average too, bagged, chopped Romaine with a run-of-the-mill dressing. My wife liked her Wagyu burger sliders though. All-in-all, an average experience at way too high a price. Won't be going back.
Front desk hostess was unprofessional and rude but the servers were extremely helpful
Great location and ambience, the bar area and bar tenders were very good
The food was distinctly average and even for Manhattan, very expensive for the quality. “Shrimp cocktail” was 3 three shrimp that had only be partially defrosted ... $27; Delmonico steak ($72) was appropriately cooked at medium-rare but tasteless and rubbery. Wine list does not have a decent selection in the $50-110 range, some mediocre wines wildly overpriced at >$150. Menu and quality squarely aimed at business dinners with the incorrect assumption that expense accounts mean clients pay nil attention to quality or value
Overall you are paying for location and decor but not for the welcome or the quality of food
There are better steak places in the city!
I have been to both locations, and i must admit that this location is better than the one in the meat packing district. It provides for a nice quiet ambiance that allows you to have an intimate date setting. Great food and service.
