Service was impeccable our waitress was very attentive and answered any questions we had. the music was a little to loud, it’s suppose to be a upscale restaurant not a club. The food was very good but a bit overpriced. Overall not bad experience.
Having been to precious STK locations, I expected a high quality dining experience. This was emphatically not that.
(1) The wagyu was not of the same quality as other STK locations. It was full of fat. The fat was not rendered down, and it was not consistently marbled throughout. This resulted in large, chewy, and inedible chunks. The flavor of the steak was excellent, and those pieces that were not full of fat, were very good.
(2) I ordered the steak to be medium rare. I was given a piece of leather — grey throughout. I sent it back. The restaurant remade the steak, but offered no recompense for the fact that my meal was then delayed. As such, my sides were cold. And my table mate had to eat their meal alone while I waited for mine. Having been to Fleming’s, Ruth’s Chris, Gibson’s, and many many more steakhouses, I have never encountered such unthoughtful customer service.
Wanted to try the new steak house in town. Very disappointed. Quality and size of steak very disappointing. Wedge salad ok. People should try it for themselves to draw their own conclusions but do not think you can successfully be a good steak house and disco at once
The service was excellent, but the price was very high. I had the wagyu flat iron steak, which was really tasty and cooked perfectly, but there was a vein of silver skin running through it. For $39 for a steak (a la carte) I really do expect exceptional butchering.
Maybe we're spoiled in Denver, but there are plenty of places to get a great steak for half the price, with great atmosphere.
A real disappointment. Our first visit. Very expensive filet steak ordered med rare and delivered med well. Salmon entree priced at premium level delivered a sad little rectangle of fish. It was an overpriced experience. Not going to return.
Great food! Happy hour menu is amazing. Our server was kind, funny, and very professional. We will definitely be back.
Parking was inconvenient. The table place settings did not seem fresh. There were several bugs near the window seating in bar area. The menu was limited based on previous STK visits in other states. The 6 oz filet was over cooked (asked for medium well) which should have a warm pink center but it was cooked through and the exterior was somewhat charred. The Brussel sprouts were fried which was not described in the menu and the preparation was not appetizing or flavorful. I requested a substitute of creamy spinach but it never arrived. Eventually, the hostess came by to explain but there was no accommodation made for my inconvenience, only a dessert menu as an option for my canceled vegetable.
Overall, the meal was expensive and unsatisfying. I usually take photos of my meals but this meal was not worthy nor the presentation of it. I will not return to this location.
Steak was broiled, over cooked and dry. For the price it was very disappointing. Enjoyed the DJ and watching the birthday shots come out.
The food at STK is very good and the staff is attentive. But, I could barely hear the person sitting next to me when I was in the restaurant portion due to the music in the bar portion. They need to decide if they want to be an upscale restaurant or a happy hour location and then price accordingly as I definitely paid for the upscale restaurant but felt I was at happy hour with the noise.
It’s ok the food
I absolutely love this restaurant. The host Lauren was really nice and recommended some fun things to here in Denver while we are visiting. The bartender Connor made the best drinks and food recommendations! I will be back once I visit Denver again!
Food was overpriced for the quality. I ordered a 8 oz steak and only ate 3oz because it was not appetizing. Every other side was very mediocre. Very disappointing.
STK never disappoints. Great birthday experience for our friends and we couldn’t leave without the lobster Mac & cheese!
Overpriced. Everything on the menu is expensive and nothing was amazing. The mashed potatoes were $14 and tasted like boxed instant mashed potatoes.
For second time, kitchen and service couldn’t get the job done for me.
We were there with a party of 7. 6:30 reservation and barely anyone in the restaurant. The music was so loud that we could not hear the entire conversation of the table. When we asked the waiter to turn the music down a bit, his response was "I don't control the volume". He kept trying to upsell us on the food/drink items. Ordered a seafood platter for the table and it came with oysters on the half shell. When we asked the waiter for saltine crackers, he said that they do not have saltine crackers but he could bring me tortilla chips if I wanted. ????? Tortilla chips for the oysters? Risotto was so salty that it was inedible. Don't need to go back here.
Good evening but they charged a price that says they are special. They fell short.
Sorry, but the steak we had at this steak restaurant was awful. Sides were great, ambiance was lovely. Service was even spectacular. But if the steak is a bust, what can you say? Very disappointed. Maybe it was an off night or just a bad steak, but we expected way more.
The food was amazing and the ambiance was energetic. Great place to celebrate special occasions with friends and family.
Our waiter Matt made the evening. Really helped us dial in the order and was attentive to ensure we had what we needed.
Family out to celebrate a birthday. Wonderful service, great food, and awesome atmosphere. Will definitely be back!
We had an awesome waiter who was friendly and courteous. We never needed a thing since he was on top of everything.
Food was delicious, wasn’t too loud or quiet. Music for the environment.
Tom was our server. Two thumbs up
We had a good dinner on the previous occasion so we thought that this would be a fun place to celebrate. It was a disaster from start to finish. The food was okay but the night was overshadowed by a myriad of mistakes. We’ll go to Capital Grill next time. It might not be as hip and contemporary as STK, but the management supports the staff and keeps a close eye on their guests. The sheer number of mistakes was astounding and almost comical by the time that we finally left for our event.
Music was great too loud to have a comfortable conversation over dinner
Great atmosphere. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious and the drinks were refreshing. Definitely will be coming back.
Came to STK for a birthday dinner. The service was very good and the restaurant ambiance is great. The food is not on par with the outrageous prices. I’ve had far better food at much more reasonably priced restaurants.
It was great, and the server (Nina) was amazing... just know that they play very loud music (think nightclub) on Friday and Saturday nights, if that kind of thing matters to you!
Great diner at a great place! Lovely ambiance! The seafoodplatter is a good start!
Service and food was fantastic
We will return!
Unfortunately, it took over an hour for our dinners to come out from the kitchen. We were told the delay was due to two large private parties. Although I understand serving 2 large private parties can be problematic for the kitchen, I would assume a high-end restaurant like STK would have plenty of experience with large parties and proper staffing to handle. Needless to say, our dinner experience at STK Denver was disappointing.
I wish I could remember our server’s name, but she was the most genuine and thoughtful waitress I’ve ever had. My girlfriend agreed 100% on that. It’s not a traditional steak house, there’s a constant “club” like atmosphere which was different but very nice touch, the music is loud and but forces you to focus on the conversation your having a little bit more (which I didn’t mind at all). The food was excellent, slightly over cooked steak but that’s just being picky. Besides that I have no complaints about the food or service.
STK is just not for me. First of all If I want to go to a disco, I'll go to one. I don't enjoy music blasting so loud you can't here yourself think never mind converse with your family or friends. Second the wine selections are lacking in the affordable and reasonable range. If you are going to offer mostly high end wine, then at least hire a sommelier to assist your customers. Our waiter was wonderful, but fully admitted he knew very little about wine. I was pretty much on my own to chose. I ended up selecting a$255 bottle of wine that was disappointing. The steaks were all very good, but you paid a very hefty price for them. It feels like this restaurant thinks it's in NYC, but it's not, it's in Denver so stop trying to be something you are not and don't charge NYC prices. Also stop trying so hard to be super hip, it comes across as phony. I'll be eating my steaks elsewhere.
Great service. Thanks for a memorable experience. One note that the music volume was bit loud.
Ambiance and service was great. Food was excellent, but the steaks were small for the value.
Great for a special occasion.
Atmosphere and music are great. Very pricey though.
The people were great.
The seating was okay. Not great. We sat along the bench and were very close to the another party. We could hear everything they said .
The chicken was cooked perfectly. The steak was very good as well, but not as heavenly as one would expect with their prices.
The creamy mashed potatoes were almost "soupy". The flavor was non-existent.
Attended Andrea Bocelli concert at Pepsi Center
Very knowledgeable service. Good cocktails, wine, and appetizers. We had fun with teenagers until we didn’t. Just s great spontaneous evening with excellent service and entree’s split and shared to order. Thank you.
The staff was friendly. The drink menu was not very exciting and lacked variety. My steak was over cooked and had to go back. The new one was better but not worth $62. The staff was accommodating or my rating would be lower. The loud Vegas-style ambiance isn’t for me. I was surprised to see patrons dancing on tables.
Our party of eight came in to celebrate a college graduation and two birthdays. We had excellent food and excellent/knowledgeable service, especially since my son has celiac disease. There was a PARTY going on in most of our section of the restaurant. Very loud, very disruptive, but the staff did their best to treat us like v.i.p.s and to make sure we were ok with the craziness.
