Waited 1.5 hours for food to arrive. Once the food arrived, it was okay. Received some comps but wait waa excessive.
Great service with a nice ambiance that is on the hip side. It can probably get loud later in the evening. Pricing is on the higher end but the quality is in line. It is a chain which may have a harder time in the Denver area with other comparable local options but it has a definite niche. Their fresh baked bread with Bleu cheese butter is as delicate as croissants and the bone-in and dry aged steaks are a great touch.
We were there at 7pm on a Friday night! From the time we walked in the door, the service was outstanding. It was quick, efficient and very professional. Take it form someone who has worked in the restaurant industry, the service and the ambiance was top notch! THEN the food came out and our beverages as well. I would go back in a second. Everything came out just perfectly!!
STK first-timers and for our first time, it was spectacular! High-end steakhouse will blow your socks off. Steak - cooked perfectly, side - parmesan truffle fry perfection, appetizer - crispy calamari with a delicious spicy sauce - so good! We will definitely be coming back.
Great food and great service. The location is wonderful
I came here for an anniversary dinner with my girlfriend, and this is one of the best establishments I’ve ever had the pleasure to visit. I am a chef myself, and I must say the cuisine is both inspired and perfectly executed. We ordered the seared scallops for a starter, and to be honest, they were the highlight of the whole amazing meal. I ordered the 14oz NY strip for an entree, my girlfriend ordered the 6oz filet. Both were cooked exactly to order, and the grilled asparagus we had as a side was tender and well seasoned. Our server, CJ, was both knowledgeable and extremely welcoming, and pointed us in the direction of more than one delicious decision. All around they get a solid five gold stars from me, and I look forward to visiting them again.
My Fiancé steak was chard and very average and my steak was cooked Medium when I asked for Medium Rare... the place was dead on Friday night but the music was bumping. Service was slow... more aggravating when you have slow service and the place is dead. Very sub par... the bread was the best part. Although I wish they had balsamic for those of us that can’t have dairy.
Outstanding service. Innovative cuisine. I will definitely be back.
So nice that they offer parking for shows and complimentary cocktails for theatre goers....portions are large so you basically have lots of leftovers!
Delicious and the waiter was excellent! The DJ was five star!
Not a great experience at all. Service was poor (server was short, arrogant, pompous....just an overall poor experience service wise). Food was good, but was shadowed by the poor customer service. Not likely to head back anytime soon.
THE TGI FRIDAYS OF UPSCALE STEAK PLACES
We went for the restaurant week (whether it’s regular menu or restaurant week everything should be stellar) menu and were very disappointed see below:
Rib appetizer - what rib? There was barely any meat to be found on any of them. The rub was good but they were just weird crispy and super oily w no meat in sight. Just some small portions of fat.
Steak - paid $20 bucks for the 14 oz Delmonico upgrade. Asked for a touch under medium and they came out super charred. The steak was almost well done - a major no no. The mashed potatoes they came with were super grainy and I think were of the boxed variety.
Truffle fries - fries were nice and crispy but $13.50 for an order of French fries hahah give me a break.
Dessert- we split the two for the special - and they needed a microscope to be seen. The apple tart was super dainty and two bites and the pudding or whatever it was - was one spoon as it was in a cappuccino cup.
Free Bread - best thing we ate all night
Shame on STK as it reeked of a publicly traded chain restaurant (which it is) that is trying to squeeze the most profit it can for a terrible value. This place isn’t even in the same stratosphere as Guard and Grace, Edge, Urban Farmer or the upscale chains such as Capital Grille or Ruth’s Chris, but yet is the same price point.
The service received was outstanding. Food was great, the restaurant was fantastic.
Outstanding vibe, food, and service!
Excellent food, personal service. Everything was exceptional until they turned the volume up in the music. We were dining early, but the music was so loud at the end that we couldn’t converse.
It happened to be Denver restaurant week and based on other steak restaurants we had tried for DRW we were all pleasantly surprised, they didn’t downgrade the items on the regular menu. Two of the four had the prefix menu and it was just as good as other times that we have been to STK. Service, ambience and food was excellent!!
Dayana makes the experience two stars better! Would go again just to see her
Food and service was very good. Music was toooo loud and we were shocked to learn that we could buy our $50 bottle of wine for $9 at our local liquor store. Bottom line, not worth the $$
Very disappointed. Avid eater and since living in Chicago. Took advantage of restaurant week and it was a hot mess. I know it's restaurant week but get it together. The whole meal was rushed and felt as if we were unwelcome. Our waiter literally rolled eyes if we asked one question about the wine pairing. They then forgot one of the first course dishes. For the second course we all ordered the steak done medium and mine came out well done. They corrected but other than an apology, no gratuitous drink or anything off the bill. The noise was horrendous like a night club. Definitely not coming back as there is equally if not better food with better ambiance in the city.
Very over-priced for what was served. Steaks were under-cooked, we had to send them back. I liked the ambiance, but warning to others who may not like loud dance music playing while dining.
Probably the worst steak I have ever had.
Certain tables in the restaurant are within inches of each other- to the point where you can not walk in between to take your seat. There is no way to have a private conversation with the distractions of your neighboring diners. The service was slow and the waiting staff was not personable. The food was good- not great. I understand “fine” dining will cost more than your typical casual restaurant- but I expected ALOT more out of a dinner for 2 (2 smaller portion steaks, with one side each, and only water) for $180! We definitely will not be going back.
Love love love this restaurant and will definitely be back soon!
I would recommend. The food was amazingly delicious. My first time there. I just wish the restaurant week was explained to me with add ons etc. I understood the wine pairings was the additional price that was fine . I thought it was a dinner for 2 for the price, not per person so wasn’t expecting to pay an expensive bill. But overall I liked STK and the food. Nothing wrong with that
Our server could not have cared less. Very disappointing given the cost of the restaurant. Try not to be seated in the section with the the guy with the double ear piercing. He said about 10 words to us the whole time. We did a wine pairing and he didn’t even tell us what the wines were when he dropped them off. Steak was great though!
We dined here for restaurant week and ordered from the special menu. The lamb rib appetizer was very fatty and we sent it back. Both salad choices were delicious. My main course selection of Scottish Salmon was seasoned perfectly and ample, however the 8 oz. strip steaks ordered by the others in our party were thought to be lacking in flavor. The apple tart dessert was tiny and tasteless. Our server was very courteous and timely, but this would not be a restaurant I would return to.
Visited STK with friends for restaurant week and we all enjoyed different before dinner cocktails, different appetizers, salads, main course and desserts all perfectly paired with great wine and each of us were in awe. The food was divine. No other way to say it. The waiter was incredibly attentive and informative. The music was perfect as we danced in our seats/booth. Would recommend and will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu! AND OYSTERS
We tried STK steakhouse for the first time during restaurant week. The food was great and three of us did the wine pairing and all the wine paired very well.
We will definitely come agin.
First time being at STK, I loved it, loved our waiters Juan service! It was certainly too notch service! My bestie and I had a great time here. Loved the decor as well, the lighting was nice. Just perfect
We went here for restaurant week, and we had to wait so long WITH a reservation, and the food was so bland, so small, and zero flavor. Will only go here for drinks, which was the best part, but overpriced. Small martini was 15$
Great food and ambiance. Service was ok but they overcharged us for wine by $100 so check your bill!
We thought the wine list was very expensive, cheapest wine was $78
However we would go back as reminded us of being back home
I love stk!! Def one of my favs!! Love date nights here!! Will be going again!!
Juan provided great service. Food was great. Lamb ribs could have had more meet.
We went there to celebrate my birthday and participate in Denver Restaurant Week. The menu they had was fantastic and so was the food. The blue cheese bread, Brussels salad, and rib app were all delicious. The main course was super yummy! The steaks cut like butter and we couldn't get enough of the mashed potatoes. They were very busy but made sure to take good care of us. Hernan and Lindsay were especially amazing and made my birthday celebration worth remembering. Occasionally it got loud enough that we had to raise our voices to talk but other than that, it was a fantastic dinner experience and we will
Absolutely be back!
Service was excellent. Wrong meals delivered x 2. Steaks not cooked to order when finally got right order. Overall just another grossly over priced restaurant.
We went for Denver Restaurant Week and really enjoyed STK.Food and wine pairing were outstanding . Steaks were perfectly prepared. Excellent warm bread. Sides were a little small. Service was crazy good. Regularly this place is just just too pricey for us but it would be excellent for a special occasion.
First night of restaurant week! Really fun eating at STK. Its kinda like a cross between a fun cool club and a high end Steakhouse. Wonderful combination of you ask me. I had the arugula salad, the NY Strip and the salted caramel white chocolate something or other dessert which was awesome! I had the wine pairing which was well worth it. All around good food great service and really fun place! I give them a 10!
The service we experienced with our server, Dylan, and his team at STK was impeccable. This was no east feat as we dinner there on the first night oh DRW (Denver Restaurant Week). Usually the service at these restaurants is almost completely lacking; they usually just try to "churn and turn" as quickly as possible. We were allowed to read the menu at our leisure. Dylan would come by to see if we had any questions. When we asked for information or suggestions he was very helpful and never steered us wrong, his suggestions we're spot on. The N.Y. strip and the Delmonico were properly cooked and were delicious. The only downside, and a pretty important one at that, was the music. It reminded me of spending an evening in a disco in the '70s and '80s, great for a night dancing and drinking, but not that conducive to conversation. It's not that it was too loud to hear, but the constant thump, thump, thumping was distracting enough to make conversation difficult.
please change the music from teen bop and electronic to something that matches the excellent quality of your food and the upscale prices that you serve them at. killed the evening for us trying to eat, converse and somehow avoid a headache from the music selection.
