STK – Chicago

Damion was the greatest! He was very attentive and was there very time we needed anything. I thought happy hour was only Monday through Friday. He informed us that it is now 7 days a week. We only planned a 1 day trip on Friday, but extended it to two days and booked another reservation for 4 pm at STK because how can you pass up $1 oysters???? Yeah!!!

I actually tipped the bus boy $5 because he cleared the table every time we finished with a dish.

Terrible food, cold, heaters outside arent warm enough

I can't remember my server's name but all I can remember is that he was sooooo awesome and funny!!! The food was ok...my drink 'the side piece' was very tasty. Considering it was outdoor dining i was actually pretty warm.

I had an amazing time at STK for Happy Hour. It was my day off work and I traveled into the city for shopping and dinner. The menu was extensive considering its Happy Hour- most places offer a couple of items. I had oysters, calamari and a burger with potato wedge. Yummy!!@ And a refreshing Strawberry Cobbler Martini. My waiter was the BEST! And the seating was cozy and warm due to the heaters. I can't wait to visit again!!

Everything was great. Only thing was when ordering dessert the apple pie we wanted was cold. It should be warmed up and served with ice cream. Other than that, everything was great!!

This was our first time dining out in one of the tents due to COVID and it’s a no for me. Not enough room, the temperature was off, and every time someone walked by the whole table and warming lamp shook as if they would fall over. Our reservation was for 930, we arrived at 920, and we’re not seated until 1015. We got our food right before 11 pm which is closing time. The waiter was not very friendly and was not helpful when I asked for wine suggestions which was very weird. The food was great so we will stick to take out until the city is back to normal dining then we may try again.

I understand restaurants get backed up but my reservation was for 9:15pm. I got there at 9 and waited. Other people that got there after me got sat first. I didn't get seated until 9:55pm. As I'm sitting they tell me everyone needs to be out by 11pm and if I'm going to be ordering a lot of food I can order it for take out as well....?? Also my reservation said it was for a birthday. Nothing was brought to the table, once we asked about it they said they will bring it.. ten minutes later nothing. By then it was 11:20.. Not many servers were outside. Just got up and left.

What stood out the most about STK was the ambiance. Very lively and best suited for a younger crowd. I had the 10oz filet and the best part was adding the additional truffle butter. Overall a nice experience for a date night in the city.

The service was great. Very attentive and friendly. The food was amazing. The steaks were cooked perfectly, and the watermelon cocktail is to die for! The music was defiantly for a younger crowd but, It was still enjoyable. Overall, I would highly recommend and go back many more times!

Disappointing. The price is not comparable to the value - it is way too expensive. The service was poor and unprofessional. The presentation of the food was underwhelming. This is a tourist steak house. Don’t go here if you’re looking for an upscale steakhouse experience. There are plenty of other, better, steakhouses in Chicago.

WAYYYY TOO HOT IN THE TENT, literally rushed eating so we could get out quickly.

Food was AMAZING! Service was great. Lots of rules that we are not used to, but we wanted a nice dinner out instead of take out at home like we have been doing for months.

My seat was on top on a fire hydrant. I asked the host how am I supposed to sit on top of a fire hydrant? No answer. I asked her if it was possible to move the seat so I can actually sit down, or pointed to another table that was also open for 2 people and was told that table was unavailable. Aren’t tables for 2 interchangeable? One server for the entire outside patio. After 20 minutes he showed up and offered tab water. We said no, would like bottled water. We were served tap water. All the food was overpriced, and you know that coming in, and it was all under seasoned. The steak that was ordered medium rare was presented well done. We were never asked if the steak or the food was prepared to our liking. So I didn’t feel bad to leave 5% tip. I tip the service and not the check. We both agreed NEVER AGAIN. next day we were at Siena tavern and were treated like royalty and food was 1000% more flavorful.

Stephen was great. He knew his steaks and wine, and gave us great pairing recommendations. After living in downtown Chicago for +15 years, it’s not often that I learn something new about steak, but he was very informative.

New Year’s Eve

Hated everything but the waiter the host was beyond rudee

It was very cold with the outside temperature.

Food was incredible but the outdoor seating in the middle of winter was not ideal. Most restaurants have heaters with tents. They had a half sided tent with no heater. My husband and I almost froze to death eating our steaks. If small restaurants can figure it out then so should STK.

The filet and sea bass were cooked perfectly no issues there. But for $175 the asparagus was grilled with maybe salt and pepper added, and the tatter tots did not pair with anything.

Very cold. Heaters weren’t enough for the freezing temperatures. Waiters tried their best given the circumstances, and that was very much appreciated.

Christmas Eve outside. They worked hard with heaters and blankets to make it special.

I found a latex glove in my macaroni and cheese. It was so disgusting to find someone's worn glove inside of your mac and cheese. But the service was great!

Loved our waiter, he was super knowledgeable and hilarious! Everything was covid friendly as we dinned out on the patio. They had open air flow and heated towers, you never would have guessed we were in the middle of winter. Our steaks were amazing, must have is the Porter house medium rare!

Such a great experience! Outside patio dinner with great accommodations in regards to heat! Perfect birthday vibe! I would recommend to anyone!

Food was tasty! One of our steaks was over cooked, the other had peppercorn on the steak despite it not being listed on the menu nor me ordering it as such. The manager replaced the overcooked steak with one that was the correct temperature. I ordered a glass of champagne with dessert, and it arrived flat. The waiter replaced it with a fresh glass. I was disappointed that neither the manager nor the waiter offered to make up for the mistakes with the steak and the champagne. This place is pricey, and when paying a premium, I expect an excellent experience. The service left me wanting more, and I think I will skip STK next time and try one of the other steak houses in the area.

They truly have made the best of the COVID restrictions and created a great space outside that was actually warm😍. The service was impeccable - paid great attention to our needs.

Hate my reservations turned into outside during the cold time, heater were okay n hit but nothing to attack the legs, so if anyone planning to wear dresses either don’t or stay home at this time
