Everything was amazing, from the drinks to the food. Our bill was pricey but def worth it. I had an amazing time for my sister birthday.
I love this location
Server was Lauren she was attentive and knew the menu very well.
We tried to get a reservation for Michael Jordan's Steakhouse but they were full so we decided on STK instead. Honestly, we were pretty happy that MJ's was full because this was an incredibly delicious second choice, on par or even BETTER than MJ's. My wife commented that the food, ambience, and service were far more memorable and while the prices were not low, we felt like it was worth every penny. My wife and I both got the Wagyu steak specials, her the Japanese and me the Australian tomahawk and we were blown away by the flavor, tenderness, and texture of each cut. We also enjoyed a lobster tail, Brussels sprouts, and the lobster mac&cheese along with some signature old fashions. We had some to take home and left stuffed yet wanting more. Would highly recommend!
Great music!! Loved the DJ. Food was good too.
Graduation , Salomon and steaks were not hot as well as a few sides ?
Drinks are WAY TOO high! Our waiter, Damien, was very short on information. If a server sees that a person is unfamiliar with a dish or condiment, he/she should take the time to describe it to the patron. Food was just ok, service by other wait staff was good. Damien blew his tip because of poor service. I gave the bartender her 20% because she made me feel like a valued customer, while Damien did not. I don't think I'll go back there. Food is better at Steak 48 anyway, and service is WAY better.
Had the experience of trying out STK for the first time in Scottsdale Arizona and loved it so the decision to dine at the chicago location was a no brainer. The food is outstanding as are the cocktails. But what impressed me the most was the attention from our server. We had two food allergies at the table and she was on top of it and made great recommendations. Looking forward to our next experience very soon! Thank you!
Food was delicious. The ambiance and music was excellent!
Showed up and they had a limited menu due to a kitchen issue. Had plenty of time to print out new menu's but didn't inform people ahead of time so they could find a new reservation elsewhere. Didn't do anything to make up for the inconvenience. Service was understaffed and rushing. Food was so so, sides were random. Totally unimpressed for a what used to be a high end steakhouse in Chicago. Had a random waitress come by and created and awkward situation asking my friend if he was looking at her (his wife was sitting next to him) and he is not that type of person. At the end of the meal they just hand him an electronic bill and walk away. That malfunctioned. Then they weren't happy when we asked for a normal bill like a regular restaurant would provide. Total let down....I never give reviews but thought this deserved the time to slam them.
Reservation was booked to celebrate my husband's birthday. The decision to book here to celebrate his birthday was based on prior reservations made in Vegas. The experience in Chicago was by far the most disappointing reservation I've had. The birthday dessert was never presented ( I did add an additional comment that we would be celebrating a birthday). The menu was limited that day, so he couldnt order the ribeye. The salmon came out dry and the service or rather the lack of service left me thinking if maybe they had capacity issues, new management or a blend of both. Not sure if this was a one-off situation but, I certainly will not recommend based on my visit
Worst restaurant we have been to in Chicago and we have been to hundreds of them. Steaks were cold and not prepared as ordered. Service was incredibly slow. Very disappointing.
Our food was okay, but nothing we received was hot. Upon arrival, we were given a paper menu at the host stand and told this is the limited menu they’d be offering for the night. I think a call ahead would have been nice. Ordered a second bottle of wine as our entrees were dropped, and the wine arrived after we all finished our meals. Overall pretty over priced for the experience, especially compared to the other steakhouses in Chicago.
The wagyu selection is good. However, the ala carte drink menu options are limited. Just make sure to ask your server for exactly what you’re craving & the bartender can surely create it for you!
I asked for warm/melted butter to accompany my lobster tail but instead they brought out curdled butter temperature. That’s a no-no!
Bday celebration that they didn’t even acknowledge so we thought they forgot but then the waiter wishes a happy bday only when it’s time to bring back the card and check for a tip. Everything was more than one hour late, some of the order was wrong and they even put extra stuff on the check which we noticed by chance so they removed. Horrible over all. Never going again
I had the Korean Short Rib, my mom and uncle had the DelMonaco (I think that's how it's spelled lol) bland my cousins and aunt had the surf-n-turf. I also ordered the sauce plate to be safe. Turns out the only thing was a waste was the sauce plate! After all of us took the first bites of our entrées, we all mentioned how amazing they were we "accidentally" finished everything before we got a chance to try the sauces! So in other words . . .the food was remarkable and we had a beautiful experience!
Expensive- which is not a problem but the value is questionable.
The restaurant is nice, and fun with DJ! Wait for an hour for our food but the steak wasn’t cook as we want! The food is okay but our server wasn’t good at all! He didn’t even check on us after he took the order! Wait for another 30 to 40 minutes just to get our server for our check!
Service was SLOW
Food not worth the prices, not that tasty. Portion size was good though. Waitress was nice but really slow we were there at least 45 minutes after we were done eating because we were waiting for the check. Decent but would not go back
Eric was our server and did an amazing job catering to our needs and making our experience at STK wonderful.
Honestly? Food was overrated. I was kind of surprise… our bill was about $350 and not even close to worth it, the waiter was kind though so service was good. But the food was bad
If you’re black make sure you’re dressed like an attorney. If you white flip flops and gym shorts will do. Privilege in Chicago worst in the country.
Drinks are probably way over priced, service was slow but the food is always great so we keep going back.
Made us wait for over an hour with a reservation
Erick was the best! He went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, spent time to learn our preferences and suggested the perfect dinner and drinks.
The worst management ! Waited over an hour to get in and we had reservations.. do not recommend.
Not your usual Chicago steakhouse. Very trendy decor, young customers, loud dance music pumping throughout the restaurant. Pricing was average for this area of the city. Good drink and wine list with good pricing. Food was just okay and took awhile to come out. Choices for sides were just okay. For a place in our city to call themselves a “steakhouse,” that steak better be damn good. Mine wasn’t seasoned and came undercooked. If you’re looking for a hot spot to socialize with friends, give it a try. If you’re going out for a good steak dinner wanting a steakhouse ambiance, you’re better off elsewhere.
Called the restaurant to let them know we were running 10 minutes late due to traffic so they moved the reservation from 7 to 715. We get there and they told us it was going to be a 20 minute wait. We weren’t seated til 745. So it was longer than 20 minutes. I didn’t enjoy that from the start. We ordered drinks and were planning on going right into entrees but they said it was going to be a 45 minute wait for the entrees to come out so we should get an app. Marketing ploy? We got the Wagyu beef tartare with caviar and sourdough croutons. Extremely good! They also brought out a large bun bread thing with blue cheese butter-not a fan of blue cheese but it wasn’t bad. Steaks come out and they are some of the best we’ve had in Chicago by far. They put a piece of paper on the table noting the time we were seated due to the 90 minute table limit-by the time the food was served we had like 20 minutes to eat it. We didn’t rush and we ended up leaving at 940 ish and they didn’t rush us thankfully. I liked the dark and romantic atmosphere with the clubby vibe with the dj. I felt like I was in LA. I would return.
Our server, Erik, gave us the best service I’ve ever experienced. He was knowledgeable, energetic, attentive and recommended the best dishes. The sea bass and Delmonico steak were out of this world. I would highly recommend that you visit STK Chicago and ask for Erik ;)
The food was delicious, server was great, she atmosphere was fun. Would definitely recommend!
Bottomless mimosas was the highlight of brunch. My food was good but my friend’s omelette lacked seasoning. However, she said it the the best crab cake she’s had in all of chicago!
The service was very slow and our waiter Was a bit sarcastic but overall the meals were amazing in the place looked great
Our waiter Gerard was amazing he made our experience memorable. The food was great the cocktails were perfect. Thank you for an amazing Friday night! I can’t wait to see Gerard again.
Love the vibe but their food is
Better than expected and food was great. Little pricey but worth it
The food was excellent but the service was strange. Very rushed and the waitress was clumsy in refilling water, which resulted in several clean ups. Not to the level I would expect for the price.
When entering STK the excitement builds. there is a area just outside the door to take pictures. They could have done better with the lighting once the sun goes down but for the most part it's perfect backdrop for anyone. Including taking pictures on the stairs outside the restaurant you have a sense of excitement. When entering the restaurant the decor in ambience is perfect for a date or celebration. The waitstaff is very accommodating. I like the fact that they have a 90 minute limit on your dining experience. It sets the tone that they have intentions of getting your food out to you and making sure that your service and servers are excellent. Even the management was on point with our concerns stop by on several occasions to see how things were going. Now on to the food. Ordered a caesar salad which was $20 and it had lots of brown colored lettuce in the salad wilted. From spending $20 on a salad I don't think that wilted food should even be coming out. The croutons in the salad were amazing and the dressing was excellent. But after getting a wilted salad it tainted the start of the meal. They brought out some fresh baked sourdough bread which also looked exciting with the blue cheese butter on top. When cutting a piece off to taste the inside of the sour bread was extremely dry to taste. They did bring me another one to try and it was also equally dry it must just be the texture of that bread. I did try the butter on it and it still didn't do anything for it. I ordered the salmon Maple rubbed. The salmon itself had no flavor. The broccolini that came with it raw. Veggies raw. Wagu strip steak at $29 an ounce ordered 4 oz it tasted as if somebody went out back and cut it off the cow with no flavor no seasoning. Management was accommodating in swapped out for the cowboy ribeye which was great. For $290 I don't think that was a great value. If you're looking for flavor this is not it if you're looking for ambiance its your spot. But music was too loud.
