This is my second time at the restaurant and my last. We had 8:00 reservations and they did not seat us until 8:20. The women behind the counter were very friendly and tried but they were over booked, and it was not their fault. The person that took us to the table was rude and really arrogant. She needs to find a different career. I am surprised that they have not updated or even bothered to change the decor. It has been the same since they opened 7 years ago. Our poor waiter had way too many tables. He did a great job but you they were obviously pushing him to the limit. The food was great but there are far too many steakhouses in the city that have nicer servers and a better atmosphere.

Our reservation was at 8, we didn’t get seated until 9. Once we were seated it took 20 minutes to place our order. Our server was sweetheart, and we didn’t get our food until 10, but we understood that they were busy. I ordered a medium well waygu steak that came out rare. We did not complain about it but sent the Mac back because it was overly dry. I left hungry and settled for fast food because I needed to eat something. I love this place and usually have a good time, but last night was not a good night.

For this to be an upscale resturant the service was worst than the drive thru at McDonald’s! No one wants to come and pay $70+ for a single person meal and not even have their waiter show up to the table for the first 40 minutes of being seated. I had to wave down a worker bussing the tables who had to “find my waiter”, and when someone did finally come to take our drink order, they appeared bothered by the fact we weren’t their original table. The same goes for the bar. You will sit right in the bartender’s face and they will not even as much as offer you a glass of water. Terrible, absolutely terrible service. They did not even ring me out, they set their machine down on the counter for another guest and I ended up having to close out my own tab with the device left on the counter. I’m not sure if they offer better service to certain guest but as far as my first experience goes I wouldn’t waste a dollar here. Lastly, for the manager to be on shift and continuously walking around and not notice the multitude of disgruntled guest. I can only imagine why the servers saw no urgency to greet and wait on tables.

Initially when I received the email, I was advised the restaurant didn't have valet so I used spothero to purchase a spot in the lot down the street which was inconvenient. I wish they would mention there's valet parking at the the hotel next door or I wish STK offered valet parking especially knowing people are spending several hundred dollars at the restaurant. The service started out questionable once we were seated with the waitress coming over then got better once she came. The waitress was nice and the food was great! I had the filet mignon and shared the creamed spinach, mashed potatoes, lobster Mac and cheese, and Brussel sprouts with my girls. The margarita was also good! The lighting was really low although it looked nice, additional lighting would be nice. All in all, good food and drinks. I wish they offered the $69 steak menu on Fridays also.
