Great as alwAys!!
Waiter was odd but friendly. Hostess had zero personality. She was going to seat me literally on top of another table. I asked to sit farther away people the entire section was empty she seemed to have an attitude. Waiter refused to put our appetizer order in unless we ordered dinner. NEVER ever heard of that. Will not go back. Mediocre food and over priced. Very disappointing birthday dinner
Went there for happy hour and although specialty cocktails were ½ price, there were only two types of wine on the happy hour menu (rose & cabernet) with no white wine option. The menu items looked good, but the food was not! The short rib croquettes, for example, were mush with some sort of flavoring that didn’t taste good going down, and was even worse throughout the night as it kept re-appearing while I tried to sleep! The outdoor seating area was a welcome place to meet a friend, but the ambiance of the adjacent construction equipment limited the enjoyment. Overall. it was a 2-star experience, which is probably why, except for one other person, during our 2-½ hour visit, we had the entire outdoor area to ourselves!
Lobster linguini. The best ive tried. But please, change the dj! Thanks
Erik B was an amazing server! He provided us with amazing suggestions, kept us happy all night, and even gave a complementary dessert for our anniversary. The food was fantastic! I suggest the DelMonico and the filet along with the Brussels sprouts & lobster mac & cheese. You will not be disappointed!
Angela and John were great servers. Angela specially was attentive and personable. Both of them displayed great customer service skills. Thank you!
The side dishes were better than the steak.
The Ambiance was very nice! I did not feel like the cowgirl Ribeye was worth $89. Nor the $12 lobster butter that had no apparent Lobster in it. If I’m paying that much for a steak I feel like it should be seasoned and cooked to perfection. The corn pudding was pretty good, so was the Mac and cheese. The creamed spinach could use some salt. Overall I think it was an ok experience. I feel like $434 was a lot for three people for a mediocre experience. Nice place for drinks but not for dinner.
Was amazing from start to finish. The DJ was great! The surf and turf is perfect and the mashed potato’s 👍🏻
It was very elegant and the food was good the ambiance was great!! The service was excellent
It is so very much money. My husband ordered a skirt steak for $59. It was tiny! Less meat than a hamburger. The prices of everything on the menu were outrageous and I’ve eaten at many highly valued restaurants all over the country. The noise level was ridiculous. Music was blaring out of the speakers. It was like a club. We will NOT go back.
The food options were not well prepared for the pricing of the items. The table wasn’t thoroughly clean. Glassware had to be returned. It was my first time here with a few friends. I expected more from this establishment. I’ve had a better experience at restaurants with of less value. It felt like the prices are high just because of the name. The food and experience did not match. This was my first and last time at this establishment.
Above average quality snd service but not worth the menu prices for most items. Not special enough even for special occasion. Ours was just an out for dinner meal.
The food was great ! And the service was amazing ! Definitely going back .
My cousin and I decided to try the date night special at STK. The waitress took our order and we told her we wanted water. 10 mins goes by and no water, she comes back with the shrimp cocktail. There was 5 on the plate which was strange, if we had ordered 1 order would be 2 and 1/2 shrimp? We started eating but still no water. We had to flag down a busser to give us water. Then main entree came, the bass was tender and tasted good, however the ny strip was well or medium well and I had ordered medium rare. It was really tough, the waitress ended up scrapping back on a plate to take back in the kitchen. A host or manager apologized for the inconvenience and we waited for another Chilean bass. Dessert was the worse part of the date night, puff pastry roll with sugar and cinnamon. It seemed really cheap to have the only option to have. The bill still out to 156 with tax. Not exactly a deal here. A steak house messing up a steak, blaming the size of the steak. Well they drop the ball. 70 dollars per person with 2 apps still felt like 1 app. The main entree has tasty bass and the sides were decent. However service was poor since we did get water, nothing extra to make up for the wait and messed up order of the steak. Manager only said she would give a different dessert and not a comp at least on the dessert. I left a 5 % tip since they were not accommodating. Treated us like we were not good enough for the restaurant. Lastly we were stuck next to birthday party with the tables separated so it was extra loud. The whole experience was not ambient or nice for dinner on Tuesday. Say no to date night !
Promptly seated. Attentive waitstaff. Bri, our server had excellent drink and meal suggestions that were spot on and appreciated.
Filet was delicious.
It's decent played but overhyped. I though foods were okay, had better steak at other places. But nice vibe to the place. And people were nice.
The overall experience was very terrible terrible came out wrong didn’t taste appetizing at all and sent back. Took forever to get the bottle of wine we ordered. Nothing was offered off the bill after numerous requests for the wine and food. I wouldn’t recommend anyone eat there ever
Truthfully, way overpriced for the meal. I’ve had way better steaks in my life for about half the price. I think you’re paying for the ambiance mostly and the name.
First time here and we absolutely loved it. Our server, Bria, couldn't have been more sweet and nice. She made the whole experience enjoyable and she should be commended.
We had an amazing and kind waitor named Jeff. All of the staff I interacted with was very kind and warm. I honestly enjoyed the experience and the ambiance a little more than the food. I went around 3:00 on a Sunday and the food had beautiful presentation but it was a little underwhelming on the flavor. I would def return for the experience. Maybe instead of coming for lunch, going for dinner.
It was okay nothing spectacular
Extremely slow service, took over an hour to get food, we were the first table there and everyone around us got their food before our arrived. The server didn’t seem to care or check on us at all. Food was excellent but unfortunately we won’t be going back because of the poor service
Very nice steakhouse in the party district of Chicago. It seemed to me that this particular restaurant caters to a younger, more urban crowd. There was a DJ that played hip-hop music (it was Saturday night) and a few patrons started dancing, although it was not encouraged. Food was amazing and we had a really good waiter (think his name was Eric). Probably a tad bit more expensive than other steakhouses in Chicago, but if you are going to eat at a downtown Chicago steakhouse, you know that you will be spending money. All in all, I had a good time here and definitely recommend.
Food and place were amazing. Server barely came to our table and we only had a 90 minute table time so that and the server that barely came made it a bit of a rushed experience
It was very difficult to hear the waitress due to the music being really loud. It was hard to even have a conversation with the people in my own table. It also took a bit to receive our order. Otherwise it was good.
Really fun atmosphere! Great for special occasions. Everything we ordered was delicious.
Club feel/vibe, lots of loud music
This a night club pretending to be a steakhouse. Quality of food/experience is NOT worth it.
The service was horrible
Everything was perfect.
I come here often. Always a pleasure.
Great music - too loud in dining room area - couldn’t converse at all
Steak not cooked per request - asked for medium well and got well done
Specialty drinks not great
Crispy Brussels Sprouts were lukewarm, not cooked through and very little was crispy
Food was overall good but everything was pricey for serving sizes
The staff at the Front desk and at the bar were amazing. However the wait staff was mediocre.
Birthday dinner for my fiancee
We had a great time at Happy Hour! My new favorite spot. Erik took great care of us.
My main issue was it was not crowded and everything was slow…
Great service and amazing food
First, out the gate, we felt welcomed in, got seated, and started to order. It took a while for any food to ever come to our table. We had ordered 3 Steaks and 6 sides and i would say we sat for over 30mins with no food service. After a while we decided to ask the waiter if there was bread meant to come to the table, the response was oh yes we have wonderful blue cheese bread that comes out .... it had not arrived in 30mins I assume he forgot. When it did arrive it was a welcomed sight. But within 5-6 mins of its arrival, our dinner showed up. After splitting up the meal amongst the 6 of us... We started to cut into our steaks and I feel like everyone other than myself was happy with their steak. But as mine was not medium I was coaxed by the table to send it back for how much it cost. I was assured a steak would be right out for me. As I sat and watched everyone at the table enjoy and finish their meals, we checked on the steak twice to be told it was right on its way. Over 15 mins had passed and someone offered to clear the table of dirty dishes as everyone was finished. By the time I was served my new steak, we had cleared the table, and gotten togo boxes. The only reason I hadn't paid and walked out was I never saw the waiter again until I had asked for my check. Sad day to say, not a great experience. I would not recommend this place as there are many places that might give better service.
