I think the waitress bringing the tip already calculates at 20% is tacky . I generally always tip 20% but that method is not tasteful. Also I prefer to be seated in tge main area , the other areas are not the same atmosphere. I was very disappointed when I was seated upstairs this past Summer for my Birthday. So there may be some opportunity to get the other areas to the standard of the main area . Lastly last night was the first time the host was less than . I am used to good service particularly with the two members of management that I have met so I am guessing they would not be to happy with last nights host .
Our server Nisha, was awesome! Super sweet & made great suggestions for our first time ever here. would highly recommend this steak house. We also had other members of this restaurant coming up to our booth to see if everything was good. Service, food, & atmosphere prefect! Will definitely be back here next time out in Midtown, GA
Reservation for 10:30 pm. Placed dinner order at 11:34pm. Never saw the waiter again nor did our food ever come out. Restaurant turned the lights on at 12:30, still no food.
Reservation was at 9:15pm arrived at 9pm sharp was not seated until 9:45pm restaurant stated they were behind. A family of four was sat next to us and received all of their food even though they showed up after my fiancé and I. We were not served until 11:20pm the family next to us that we’re getting ready to depart stated they assumed we were finished dining because they got here after us and all of their food was gone. As I was eating my Tomahawk steak it was 11:36pm and my server asked if I wanted my food boxed to go, me shocked I simply agreed I had to wait over an hour and a half to get my food then was rushed out because my fiancé asked to speak with floor manager Karon who came over and stated he would accommodate our bill for the inconvenience only for nothing to be comp’d I would never recommend an enemy even to go to this place. The atmosphere presented itself as a club that serves food rather than a restaurant, also it was my birthday dinner and night overall was ruined.
The atmosphere was very nice, the wait for our table was minimal. The drinks took a while to come from the bar, but they tasted great. The food came out quickly and tasted awesome, however it’s on the pricey side from a portion perspective. Overall the experience was good, think I can get a similar experience elsewhere for lower prices.
After a couple years between going to dinner here we decided to take a trip to Atlanta and enjoy a dinner at STK. what a huuuuge disappointment this was!
Fist off we live 2 hrs away, so planning a trip out to celebrate our anniversary was a big deal!
We waited 30min past our reservation time. We then got sat between to other tables where you feel like you’re sharing a meal time with others. We asked to wait til a small booth was available so we could hear each other during our meal alone. So we added another 15min to our time (by choice)!!
The waiter greeted quickly, but our drinks took another 20min! It wasn’t even that full and busy yet! On top of that we had to ask for refills when we saw him go by.
The noise level of the music was already playing so loud we had to speak super loud next to each other. But that was nothing, once the DJ stepped in. The volume went so much higher!!
We couldn’t ever talk at that point because it was too hard.
The filet was done alright, but for $68 each it was over charred and I ordered rare plus!
The mashed potatoes were so runny they ran threw your fork trying to take bites!
Overall this was such a horrible night we will never go back to there again!
Plus…we frequent Vegas yearly…STK at Cosmopolitan has been a happy choice prior to this year.
Not sure why you are taking a high end steakhouse and purposely turning it into a nightclub atmosphere.
The music level in Vegas was actually worse. I thought it was just Vegas then I stepped into Atl!
Maybe you are turning this into a “club”…obviously we need to look into other places to enjoy a meal (Ruth Chris or Morton’s)
Obviously we made a very bad choice spending $300 on such a bad experience!
Our waiter Josh was 100% magical! I have not had service like that in a long time. Our visit from Dallas was made the night we had dinner at STK and Josh was a huge part of that. I’ll definitely be back!
We were sat next to the door and were freezing because they kept opening and closing the door. We reserved to sit inside so we wouldn’t have to deal with the cold. It was also overly crowded and people were standing next to our table all night long. When we first sat down our waiter came up to us and asked what we wanted to drink. It took about 30 minutes just to get our drinks. We ordered our food and that took almost an hour to get. We asked multiple times for our water to be refilled & asked more than one waitress and no one came and filled it up for a good 20 minutes. We had to go to the bar just to order a drink so it wouldn’t take so long. This place is way to expensive for the service that is given.
Not what I would consider a high end steakhouse. Music was too loud, service was mediocre. Food and drinks were extremely overpriced for portion size, and apparently clothing is optional.
OMG the hostess was awesome as well our waitress.
Love StK but unfortunately we were stuck in the “spill over “ room snd main room wasn’t crowded . For a $450 meal I really don’t expect to eat on a 6” foot plastic banquet table in a cold room with Tea Lights.
Great food, great service!
We had a party of 8 for business dinner, the host said we need to have at least 6 ppl to be seated， which is ok. However, We got a table in the middle of the restaurant. After we sat down and started looking at the menu, we noticed that the table was wobbling. We had to ask the server to fix it. If you want us to wait until most of the party gets here, please fix your table in advance. Also, the way they serve was very unprofessional. When they serve the wine, the bottle was touching the glass. The lobster tail was overcooked. The steaks are amazing. We all loved our entrees.
It worth to try their food. But their service definitely need to improve for this type of expensive restaurant.
My husband and I really enjoyed ourselves. However we weren’t too pleased with our table location too much traffic and the candle on the table wasn’t lighted with a dirty glass.
El sabor de la carne estuvo terrible!
Loved dining at STK - Atlanta. I brought in a group for a business dinner and everyone was very impressed with the atmosphere and the food. Service was a little slow, but in this COVID-19 world where isn't these days. This is a great stop for a group for dinner. Very modern and energetic.
Service was cool. One can certainly feel the strains on the hospitality industry at this space in Jan. 2022. One thing that was on time was the consistent water pouring server. The drinks were good. Appeared to have a less than full bar. Too, the cocktail pours were noticeably small, less than - it appears that they measure the alcohol *chuckles* the purchase prices for food and drinks were overbearing. The costs does not match the commodities. Overpriced. But. mmmmkay. Food was okay. My server, Kay, was extremely kind, accommodating, cool, cordial and spirited. …[you] should try STK ATL at least twice *exhales*
Server charged 22% Without asking if that’s ok. Not that I wouldn’t have tipped well, but let that be my choice. Food was not cooked to Specify temp
I booked an outside table at STK for my husband's birthday. We are very Covid conscious due to our young daughter's asthma and I had done my research about their outdoor heated patio. I took a step further and called just to make sure that the patio heaters were in place and would be on for our visit. I was told "yes" on the phone.
When we arrived for dinner the hostess looked confused that we had requested an outdoor seat and told us that the patio was closed. She said that she would check with the GM about it and see what she could do since I had called and was told that it was open and running. The GM came and talked to us and explained that STK uses a call center to handle their calls, and that they had not updated the call center about the fact that their heater was broken. It would be impossible to dine outside that night. We were left with literally no plan and nowhere to go for my husband's birthday.
While it is certainly no one's fault when a heater breaks, someone certainly dropped the ball by: 1) not updating the call center about the broken heater, and 2) no one at that restaurant was checking reservations the day before or even that afternoon b/c if they were they would have seen that I requested "outside" and someone would have called or emailed me. I frankly expect more from a place with $100 steaks on the menu. I waited tables for 10+ years - it's just good business to check the upcoming reservations before service to make sure things run smoothly.
I really enjoyed having dinner here for the first time on my birthday will come again
The atmosphere was fun and the food was EXCELLENT!
Server had no idea what she was describing.
Way to loud, playing rap music .
Food was covered in grease.
They book numerous people under one booking, so do not expect to be seated at your booking time if it is a busy night. We had a table booked for 10pm and still were not seated at 11pm. It was more like a club vibe at a bar than an actual restaurant, with lots of people in the same situation as us and about 50+ people packed like sardines in the waiting area. Good music but we didn’t even eat in the end. Wouldn’t recommend.
This was our first experience and it wasn’t a very good one!! We had reservations for 9:15pm and weren’t seated until 10:30…it took another hour and 15 min after that to receive our food. The quality of the food was good, but they were definitely over booked!!!
Sigh this was just a terrible experience. It was my birthday dinner and we had a reservation for three at 8:30. We waited for an hour for our table and our server was so rude. She barely greeted us, did not share any recommendations or dinner specials, took an hour to get our first drinks, was dismissive when we checked in. Food took another hour to come. She never once asked us if we needed anything she just came to tell us that that things would be late with an excuse. We had to ask for everything from more water to a second round of drinks by catching her attention as she quickly walked by trying not to make eye contact.
Finally when my friends asked for the birthday treat she brings a sparkler to the table. Great, but I look over and see other customers receiving a sparkler with a piece of birthday cake that says happy birthday on it! After that happened multiple times, we spoke to a manager, he said he would comp our meal but communicated nothing the the server, who finds a different manager who says they can’t do that and was pretty dismissive. It was just sad because STK is known for being a high end restaurant, there should be better service. It really brought down the energy my special occasion. Do not recommend.
And the food was pretty disappointing, steaks were lacking in flavor.
They seem severely short staffed, which makes me wonder why they are taking so many reservations. Service was lacking, food and drink quality was mediocre, and it is way too overpriced for the level of service and quality offered. I don’t mind spending money on great food and an excellent dining experience. This was not that.
I’ve been to Vegas, Orlando and now Atlanta they are all great!
We were very disappointed to get there and find that our outdoor reservation was inside. The outdoor area was closed (after I had confirmed the day before) and nobody contacted us to tell us. The place was packed and we felt somewhat uncomfortable.
Also it was very noisy and loud inside.
On the other hand our server was excellent and the food was very good.
The food and service was great but where we were sat degraded the entire experience. We were sat in some back room with fold up tables and cheap stackable chairs. If I’m spending hundreds of dollars for a meal I don’t want to be seated at some cheap table.
I've been to STK at night and enjoyed it. So for my husband's (53rd) birthday I decided to give their brunch a try. Their brunch has been advertised on social media lately. Overall, I was disappointed. What I did like: Although we are in the midst of a pandemic (Covid) the restaurant was NOT crowded. When we arrived, there was no one there. We were the first group (there were 6 of us). I noticed the tables were separated and everyone (servers/hosts) wore masks. We felt safe, although I will argue you can get Covid it seems anywhere, regardless of your vaccination status. We were greeted immediately. Once we placed our order, it took a minute to receive our meals. It was a good thing we hadn't seen each other for awhile, so we were able to catch up while sipping tasty Bloody Marys and Mimosas. There was some music and later a DJ. When the food arrived, it looked great. Unfortunately, with the exception of mine (which was lukewarm versus super hot), our food was chilly. Like it had been sitting in the window waiting on a runner. This is concerning since we had been waiting and the restaurant wasn't crowded. There may have been 6 tables (socially distanced) at this point. Again, it was very disappointing, especially for a restaurant at this price point. Not to mention our orders weren't complicated. Don't get me wrong, my Lobster Benedict was warm and tasty, but the others complained that the food was cold. One ventured to send it back (French toast), while the others simply carried on. What I will say is that the manager did come over and make it right by giving us a discount. This aspect of customer service was outstanding and would definitely make me consider trying the STK Brunch again.
*Note, the atmosphere at night is better than during the day. Doesn't everything look better with neon lighting and candles?
Overall the atmosphere was nice, however, the food was a 5/10 at best. I order fries as a side and was literally given 10.
You’re eating dinner in a nightclub. Be ready. If that’s what you’re after, you’ll love it.
First time at this restaurant Jeffrey the server was outstanding the chef was outstanding the atmosphere was outstanding can't wait to come back keep up the good work
Little loud. Very urban hip-hop crowd.
I reserved the reservation for 2 and in thr comments as requested I mentioned that it was my girls Birthday and if someone could bring a slice of cake with a candle as a surprise..It never happened but besides that I still give you guys a 5 star raring cause everything was excellent
Food was very average and cheese on mashed potatoes and lobster mac was hard. Not very appetizing and not worth the price.
Great customer service and kudos to our waiter Emanuel Carter for being super awesome.
This is not an upscale steak house despite the prices. If you are looking for a fine dining experience this is not the place. Food was okay but nothing truly memorable or “I can’t wait to get back to have that again.” Disappointment as I expected something different.
The wait time waa horrible we waited for 30 minutes with reservations once seated we waited a hour for food.
The service sucks here. The food is over priced. The salmon dry. The lamb chops dry. Brussels sprouts don’t have seasoning. The drinks are horrible. I will never eat here again.!
