STIRR Fort Worth
Dined here for the first time. The restaurant was not crowded but service was painfully slow. Often saw the servers congregating to talk while food sat in the window. The food was average - had their signature ribeye which was unfortunately tough and lacked flavor. The temperature in the restaurant was cold and the server did acknowledge that and tried to fix it without any luck. The noise level was significant despite the restaurant not being crowded.
We were at the STIRR for my birthday, the atmosphere was great, quick to seat us I had reservations. The food was good, only had 1 meal to go back out of 7 orders. The service was a bit slow, waited over 20 mins for our tab.
We sat upstairs, and there is a great view of Fort Worth. The tables were a little dirty. The food was delicious, but I think the pancakes were a little overpriced.
Very disappointing! Much more of a bar than a restaurant as food was mediocre at best.
Nice atmosphere, good food, friendly service. The mimosas are extremely strong and the food took a minute to come out. Otherwise I loved it.
The noise level was deafening! Music was loud!!!! We could not carry on a conversation and had to yell across the table.. there was a large party seated near us that was loud and kids everywhere. Service was ok..nothing outstanding...just took our orders and and brought the food. Won’t be going back....not our kind of place!!!! Feeling wired after being in this environment for the evening!
Wonderful food and atmosphere. Great place for a happy hour. Great cocktails that are original and tasty.
Best Calamari EVER! Service was excellent, prices reasonable and a cool vibe in a great central location. You should go....
Everything was going well until both of our main courses came out cold. I imagine it would have been great otherwise.
The music could be a little lower. Overall good experience.
Seared tuna salad was Spivey and not great. The fondue was really good
It was the best! Our server went out of her way to make sure my boyfriend had the best dessert for Valentine’s Day
We went for Valentine’s Day brunch and we were seated immediately, the service was quick and checked on us multiple times, and the food and drinks were so yummy!
5 friends celebrated a birthday a few nights ago. The ambiance was beautiful. We all had salads with various proteins added; and they were delicious. The music was a bit loud for us to enjoy our conversation; I asked twice for it to be turned down. It finally was turned down very slightly. They were out of two of the wines we selected. Overall it was a very nice evening. I will definitely return soon. I think it will fun to enjoy the rooftop in a few weeks with the weather is warmer.
Nice menu and delightful staff. Will definitely be back
Very good meal and extremely happy with the service. Absolutely will visit again when back in Fort Worth.
Food was good but much too loud and server overwhelmed.
Great experience, great meal. Server was very knowledgeable and ready with recommendations when queried. We had a beautiful view from our table of the lit trees across the street. Varied menu, generous portions, everything very flavorful and served at appropriate temperature and in a timely fashion. Delightful. Only other comment is that we had called and requested rooftop seating in advance and were confirmed for that, but upon arrival were informed that there was a private party on the rooftop that night and so our request could not be accommodated; the hostess went on to say that they rarely know of the private parties until the day of the party and that was why our request had been accepted, but then could not be honored. That seemed like an...interesting explanation to me. Have been in the restaurant business for many years and that would not be my approach. Still, it did not lessen our enjoyment of the evening; everything was great!
After making a reservation for dinner, we still had to wait about 25 minutes to actually get seated in the dining room. It was extremely loud and the service was poor. The gentleman was nice, but he was not knowledgeable of the menu and for the price of the food and the area, the service is not adequate. The hostess was also unprofessional. I was very disappointed. There are too many other options.
Great place. Nina is wonderful
After waiting for 15 minutes to order, gave up, got up, and walked out.
This was my 4th visit since this location opened. The kitchen is still having issues getting the food out right and in a timely manner. Hopefully they can get it together. I like their Dallas location and I had high hopes for the Fort Worth spot since it's much closer. I doubt I'll be back for awhile. They need more time.
Amazing food and service from all of the staff! They made our birthday celebration feel special. Our server was really attentive and overall made it a great experience - I forgot his name sorry!
Everything great, except:
1. The $20 parking validation did not work.
2. Music too loud....hard to have conversation as there is no echo mitigation (all concrete, glass, etc.)
What they lacked in speed of service they made up for in food. Delicious.
Stirr was amazing! We were celebrating a birthday and they went above and beyond making my friend feel special!
Beer cheese fondue and birthday dessert were scrumptious!! Our server was also super cool, helpful and knowledgeable.
Can’t wait to go back!
We loved everything! Great food and service!!
The Friday Night Happy Hour until 7 pm is a winner! Half price shareables, flatbreads and specialty cocktails is well worth the earlier dinner time. The service was fast and friendly. Definitely will be back.
Decent food, but it was all too salty for our liking. We were sat right by the door and it was very chilly, and we’re usually not the type to get cold easy. Drinks were good and very good atmosphere. Would go back for the bar much sooner than for a full meal.
We made a reservation and honestly it was a nightmare. The hostess was so extremely rude. She asked us if a high top table would work for us. We were holding my 22 month old son and said unfortunately it wouldn’t because we needed a high chair. She informed us that she “wasn’t sure what she could” do then because they had a large table coming in at 1:30. Our reservation was at 11:30. She said she would need to “see what she could do.” Meanwhile we sat at the entrance and stared at all the empty tables. Finally my husband went up to the hostess stand and asked what the status was. They had apparently forgot. She begrudgingly sat us at a table and walked off. I tried to get her attention and followed her back and let her know we needed a high chair for my son and a regular chair wouldn’t work for him. This was the entire reason we had to wait. Just an unpleasant introduction. The waiter was frazzled and took a long time at first to get orders but he was able to recover from the busy morning and did great. Food was delicious.
Birthday - it was great!
Stirr is a vibrant dining location with delicious food and copious drink options. We dined here on NYE and arrived early enough for our reservation to get our drink order in while still on happy hour. Even though other tables around us were receiving apologies for the slow service, we received our orders relatively quick given it was a busy evening. The food was as expected and we enjoyed ourselves immensely. The only issue was it was quite noisy, but that comes with the type of restaurant.
I went here for brunch a few weeks ago and it was excellent. I loved the wide range of menu options and the food was great. Environment was inviting and very pretty. Couldn’t wait to return.
We went for NYE dinner and we were sat upstairs at our 6:45 reservation. It’s an enclosed rooftop, a little chilly.
Ordered the NYE 3-4 course meal for $50 plus drinks. They forgot to bring the first course and we had to ask for it. The rest is as follows: Frosé = delicious. Lobster cakes were OK. The lobster bisque soup = bad. Deconstructed salad = good. Beef carpaccio = good. Lobster Mac & cheese = bad. Steak = good.
It took over 2.5 hours before the entrees even came out. Around 9 (over 2 hours into our reservation), the area became a ghost town and the staff started removing all of the furniture from the room. Dragging chairs and tables around near us and preparing for the NYE party. We told them it was kind of rude to be dragging furniture around during our relatively expensive dinner and they said “sorry we have a party at 10.” Wasn’t our fault the food took 3 hours and we were being rushed to give up our table. Service was poor. However, manager did come to speak with us and made it right financially. Kudos for that.
Once we finally were able to leave the upstairs nightmare of a dinner we had, we went downstairs to find a big crowd and great ambiance. Not sure why we were thrown on the cold enclosed rooftop when we had reservations and they knew they had a party to prepare for and then rushed through the end of dinner. It was a horrible experience and I will not be returning. I have not been treated so poorly before. We checked to see we had “Loser” written on our foreheads or dirty clothes but nope - just bad luck i guess?! I’m so bummed because I had a great first experience at Stirr and had high hopes for it as a new restaurant in Fort Worth.
We were pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere and the food for our New Years Eve dinner! We definitely want to go back in a regular night. We were a party of 6 up on the third floor (I think that makes some challenges for the wait staff going up and down the stairs). The cheese dip appetizer with beer was yummy and ahi tuna appetizer tasty as well. They had a special menu for NYE and that is the problem. Apparently the regular menu was not supposed to be available, but it was and that messed up the kitchen. Our 4 course meals got all messed up with main coming first for one person and mine was way after everyone else was done, etc.On the plus side, the cocktails were tasty, hamburger good and soup was yummy. My filet that came late had a very nice flavor. The manager was really nice and comped our appetizers and wine due to the mix up. Our server was super nice and doing the best she could. So we were fine and anxious to go back again on a less crazy night! Oh, the 4 course meal was only $50 and we thought that was a great value.
Service has been always GREAT!
Food is WONDERFUL!
Atmosphere is TERRIFIC!
FANTASTIC place to meet up with family or friends!
Can’t say enough about this restaurant.
We will definitely be back!
Went for brunch. The mimosas were the WORST I’ve ever had. Watery. I first ordered one of their signature cocktails, and after waiting 15 minutes, was told by server they may not have one of the drink ingredients. After I ordered something else, was then told they “found it”. The cocktail was just plain bad. For a place that is supposedly built on cocktails, really how can you serve a lousy mimosa, and not have a key ingredient to one of your own signature cocktails.
Food just ok, service just ok. You need to step up your game
The food was delicious, cocktails are good and love the atmosphere
Fun space with good food. Enjoyed great quail with even better grits
Food was great! Loved the half price drinks and shareables for happy hour. Will definitely be going back again!
