Stir - Raleigh
Our cold bar and kitchen offers fresh oysters from North Carolina and beyond, traditional Mexican and Peruvian ceviche, and classic entrees and specials, all prepared from scratch.
STIR is famous for craft cocktails. We freeze and carve 300-pound blocks of artisanal ice in-house, age certain cocktails in oak barrels for richer flavors, and place others on draft for crispness and carbonation.
The result is a categorically elevated cocktail. Our passion for fine spirits also compels us to find and share rare bottles, many of which are extremely difficult to procure.
We welcome Raleigh to enjoy our unmatched cocktails, fresh seafood from the cold bar, and classic dishes in an atmosphere of genuine hospitality.

The food was so much better . The last time the food was not seasoned well, very bland presentation was good . To many flies on the plexiglass, the flies were very pesky
First time at Stir and enjoyed the experience on a tough day for restaurants - Father's Day. Since the restaurant has windows open to the outside, there were flies around our table adjacent to the kitchen. We moved to a table that was fine, but could be a problem going forward as no one wants to sit with flies and no one wants to see them close to the kitchen.
Great service & food, will be back
Father’s Day brunch was awesome. Will def be back to try the dinner hour.
Father’s Day Brunch was delicious!
My reservation was at 7 but I got there a lil earlier, so they said we could have drinks at the bar til 7. Go to check in 7 & was told our table was getting cleaned by one person but another couple comes in after us with no reservation & gets seated right away. I go and ask another person & she said they were looking for us to be seated. So she finds a table for us. I didn't like the back & forth just to be seated but the food was really GOOD!
As always, everytime I come it gets better; that's a good thing because every time I come it's great!
Everything was good. However, the ac was not on and it was hot so it made a bit uncomfortable in there.
The air was broken and the flies took over in our section.
We received food before we ever had a drink....Would be nice to have your cocktail before food!
We go to Stir a lot but last nights meal was just great. We had the best service! Our waiter went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed all the oysters we ordered. We can’t wait to go back.
We ate outdoors on the patio for lunch. Excellent service and good food. Parking was a little awkward in a deck 1-2 blocks from the venue with weak wayfinding. This strikes me as a great place for an after-work happy hour & hors d'oeuvres.
2nd time in less than a year we ate here…. Both times the order for someone in our party was wrong and both times by the time the correct dish was delivered the rest of the party had finished……20+ minutes!!
I won’t come back! Horrible follow up and prioritizing. Manager needs refresher on how to make things write with patrons. Lots of other places nearby, avoid STIR
First experience was great!!! Definitely will be back!
First time and the food was delicious. The reservation was great to have because there was a wait and the restaurant was packed. Waitress was good and overall great vibe. I had the chicken and waffles and it was amazing and $5 mimosas!!!! Will definitely be back can’t wait to try more items on the menu
Our brunch experience was really nice, and our waitress was really sweet and she brought us cookies and brownies. That was my second brunch there and both were good. 👌🏾
Service was not good! Took too long for drinks to be served. No water refills. The food was not that good.
Food and drinks were good. Service was slow and non-attentive and food took a long time to come out. I would to see more variety in the menu. Too much seafood and steak.
Made reservation for lunch on restaurant week. The waiter said brunch on Saturday only until 4:00 pm. No where on Stir website, stating lunch menu was not available for restaurant week on Sat. VERY DISSAPOINTING! Will not be back and will not reccomend your restaurant. Waiter was not friendly!
Great, brunch spot sat outside enjoyed MANY mimosas :). Wait staff was extremely kind and did not rush us.
Our favorite date night spot! Make sure to make reservations a few days in advance for a weekend!
STIR overall was just okay. We enjoyed our drinks and the food was okay, but nothing great compared to so many better options nearby. Not sure we'd go back. If anything, maybe stop by for a quick drink.
Food was good! Service was a little slow but overall I’d recommend!
Everything was amazing! We sat inside though and it was on the hot side. Food was amazing
Food was good and plentiful. We realized our split appetizer was enough with a dessert. The Hemingway Daiquiri was fabulous. Kathleen, our waitress, was terrific! Noise level high.
The food was good but for what you get a bit pricy and wasn't something I would say would make me want to go back. Service was very slow and we were there early around 5:30pm with a lot less people than usual. It was a bit stuffy and hostesses weren't good at all. Didn't seem to care about the customers in front of them. It could be a great place if they could improve the service and just general courtesy. I had been wanting to go for a while and now that I have, I won't need to go again. I wouldn't recommend them for their food.
Visiting from NY. One of the few places open late after our long ride. The place is in a busy business, and shopping area. It was definitely hopping.
We ordered Peruvian Ceviche. Fish was not tender and a little fishy.
Was a shame, because the lime was on point. Drinks were great.
My husband ordered the Steak with blue cheese crumbles , potato cubes and veggies. The steak was cooked well but small for the price.
The blue cheese was overpowering.
I ordered the pasta and cheese served with scallops and shrimp topped with truffle oil. The pasta was cooked just right and was good. The scallops were delicious, the shrimp tasted boiled and had no flavor.
Server was new, but attentive, informative and friendly.
One of my favorite restaurants in Raleigh! The food and service was excellent!
As usual the food was very good, and while we knew king during restaurant week would be busy, the noise level outside was insane! Numerous loud cars and motorcycles running back and forth on the drive right by the patio dining was so disruptive it was nearly impossible to even think! North Hills needs to take action before this runs everyone away.
Food was delicious! Neat and different selection, beautiful presentation. Staff was very attentive. Loved the ambiance/vibe.
Was overall good. The server could have been more constantly attentive. The drinks were slow to come. Perhaps the bar needs another bartender. Will definitely come back, though.
Atmosphere is very cool. Nice place for a date night. Decent selection of small plates but entrees are lacking in variety. Service was mediocre for a staff that seemed to be lounging-around on a busy Sunday evening.
The restaurant feels a little warm if you sit on the inside, but the service is great and food was tasty.
Staff was very friendly. For the price of the food we were a bit disappointed.
Good and drinks were excellent- was very hot inside
Stir was amazing. The food, drinks and ambiance was impeccable. Thank you Chaz for a wonderful service! We loved it so much we reserved another table for a different date!
We went to dinner here before going downtown. Food and drinks were decent. Not something I would be excited to go again. The floor was really slippery - that’s just an accident waiting to happen.
Stir’s food was excellent and overall it was good but it definitely had a young urban professional vibe (I’m a little old for that scene) and the day we went they had the doors to the patio open and no AC on so it was hot and muggy inside. Great for appetizers and drinks- not so much for a “date night” for the older crowd.
