STIR is the perfect restaurant to sip a craft cocktail over a dozen oysters, enjoy a night out, or meet for lunch. Located in the historic Chattanooga Choo Choo complex, the restaurant is an open-air concept with a large, heated outdoor patio. We are open for lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch.

Great food starts with fresh, local ingredients. Our kitchen prepares everything from scratch, and our signature raw bar is stocked with fresh oysters and seasonal seafood.

STIR is famous for craft cocktails. We freeze and carve 300-pound blocks of artisanal ice in-house, age certain cocktails in oak barrels for richer flavors, and place others on draft for crispness and carbonation. The result: categorically elevated cocktails. Our passion for fine spirits also compels us to find and share rare bottles, many of which are extremely difficult to procure.

    We have eaten here many times but the cold seafood was not good. The oysters were tiny. The lobster in the Mac and cheese was way over cooked and chewy. It was just a big disappointment. The drinks were also mediocre compared to other restaurants. We probably won’t be back.

    Filet was overcooked not medium. But waitress was very attentive. Ambiance was great.

    It appears this restaurant may be serving premade meals. Both of our steak dinners were served cold twice!

    Walked from hotel for a fantastic dinner experience. Food was great!! Poke bowl and Shrimp & Grits. Nice menu, great service. Sat at the bar. Highly recommend

    Amos the server was excellent. He is pro. The food is good and overall great experience for a family style meal earlier in the evening. We had two small ones and they handled with menu and crayons and service really well.

    The oysters were very small. I was disappointed in the serving size. Not near what I get when in Mobile, Al. And the server said they are known for their oysters. The back of the house should not have let those even come out to be served. My wife’s halibut was much better than my meal. I would have that next time.
