STIR is the perfect restaurant to sip a craft cocktail over a dozen oysters, enjoy a night out, or meet for lunch. Located in the historic Chattanooga Choo Choo complex, the restaurant is an open-air concept with a large, heated outdoor patio. We are open for lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch.

Great food starts with fresh, local ingredients. Our kitchen prepares everything from scratch, and our signature raw bar is stocked with fresh oysters and seasonal seafood.

STIR is famous for craft cocktails. We freeze and carve 300-pound blocks of artisanal ice in-house, age certain cocktails in oak barrels for richer flavors, and place others on draft for crispness and carbonation. The result: categorically elevated cocktails. Our passion for fine spirits also compels us to find and share rare bottles, many of which are extremely difficult to procure.

    We had a wonderful dinner at Stir last night. Maddie was our server and she did an amazing job. My husband had the oyster special and the short rib special, which he loved. I had the lobster crab cakes, which were delicious. It was a very crowded Friday night so the noise level was a little high but not crazy. We can’t wait to go back!

    My waitress Abi was great! She gave great recommendations from both the drink and food menus and was very attentive even though I was dining by myself.

    We have eaten here many times but the cold seafood was not good. The oysters were tiny. The lobster in the Mac and cheese was way over cooked and chewy. It was just a big disappointment. The drinks were also mediocre compared to other restaurants. We probably won’t be back.

    Walked from hotel for a fantastic dinner experience. Food was great!! Poke bowl and Shrimp & Grits. Nice menu, great service. Sat at the bar. Highly recommend
