STIR is the perfect restaurant to sip a craft cocktail over a dozen oysters, enjoy a night out, or meet for lunch. Located in the historic Chattanooga Choo Choo complex, the restaurant is an open-air concept with a large, heated outdoor patio. We are open for lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch.

Great food starts with fresh, local ingredients. Our kitchen prepares everything from scratch, and our signature raw bar is stocked with fresh oysters and seasonal seafood.

STIR is famous for craft cocktails. We freeze and carve 300-pound blocks of artisanal ice in-house, age certain cocktails in oak barrels for richer flavors, and place others on draft for crispness and carbonation. The result: categorically elevated cocktails. Our passion for fine spirits also compels us to find and share rare bottles, many of which are extremely difficult to procure.

    Paige was our server. She was attentive and provided great service. We enjoyed everything we ordered. Spicy Tuna Bites, whipped Feta for starters and poke bowl and grilled roast beef on sourdough were all delicious. Desert was matcha cheese cake. Drove down from Murfreesboro and this was a great spot.

    Everything was great. I had the surf and turf tacos, which tasted very good. However, as an entree it was very small and I felt deceived when I was told it was 4 tacos, only for a tiny little plate to come out with 4 of the smallest tacos I’ve ever seen and no side.

    Horrible wait staff. Steak was wrong. Sent it back. Suppose to be medium rare. Came out the second time (already sliced) and medium well. I guess it was a manager the second time. Showed him it was cooked incorrectly again. His answer “ you can still eat it, right”. Nic and Norman’s next door is WAY better.

    Food was excellent! Our server Briana was attentive, knowledgeable and friendly! She not only helped us navigate the menu, but answered questions about the Chattanooga area. We were visiting Chattanooga for our anniversary. I highly recommend the Stir!

    Stir checks all the boxes! Ate here for both lunch and dinner. Crab bisque is excellent. Halibut very tasty and shrimp and lobster Mac and cheese very decadent. Both servers were friendly and professional. Large dining room can be noisy but there is also a room in the back with about 8 tables that is quieter.

    As a solo traveler I was weary of sitting at the counter, however and a big however, Bahamas and my waitress made my evening an experience. Not just a regular dinner. I felt at home with their service and recommendations. Bahamas should get a raise, he offered your sister restaurant- state of confusion when i mentioned I was here for another night. Oysters and dinner was delicious- next time I’m in Chattanooga I will definitely come back here.
