STIR is the perfect restaurant to sip a craft cocktail over a dozen oysters, enjoy a night out, or meet for lunch. Located in the historic Chattanooga Choo Choo complex, the restaurant is an open-air concept with a large, heated outdoor patio. We are open for lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch.

Great food starts with fresh, local ingredients. Our kitchen prepares everything from scratch, and our signature raw bar is stocked with fresh oysters and seasonal seafood.

STIR is famous for craft cocktails. We freeze and carve 300-pound blocks of artisanal ice in-house, age certain cocktails in oak barrels for richer flavors, and place others on draft for crispness and carbonation. The result: categorically elevated cocktails. Our passion for fine spirits also compels us to find and share rare bottles, many of which are extremely difficult to procure.

We always visit Stir when we’re in Chattanooga, and we really enjoyed our dinner. We had a dozen speciality oysters, which were fresh and delicious. Crab bisque is a favorite and it didn’t disappoint; rich, creamy and full of crab. We split a wedge salad and the scallop entree, and both were great. Rachel was our server and was friendly and provided great service. Flower power cocktail was tasty!

Our first time at Stir but not our last! The seafood was delicious, we had oysters raw and Rockerfeller, both prepared properly and presented nicely. The shrimp Louis salad was the absoloute best! I will order it again every time! The seared scallops were delicious and presented very nicely with vegetables. The Fried mahi was pretty good, too much breading for me but not bad. The rice was amazing. Our server, Emma, was so impressive. She knew the answer to every question and was helpful in making wine and appetizer selections. I thought she was an owner, that's how competent she was!!! One of the BEST places we have dined since moving to NW GA. EXCELLENT!!

We had friends from out of town and wanted to wander around this area, so we chose Stir for the location and the amazing food/drink. We know it is a louder venue due to its high ceilings and hard floor, so we asked for a quiet table for visiting. They took us to a booth at the very front in a corner. We were able to visit in normal voice. The food here is always outstanding. We tried multiple dishes and tasted each other’s: fried green tomatoes with pimento cheese, salmon cakes, shrimp and scallop Mac and Cheese, spicy tuna burger with sriracha infused egg, steakburger with a mini wedge salad, Tillamook sliders. The drinks are delicious and imaginative. Our waiter was knowledgeable and helped my friend pick a cocktail to her liking. She doesn’t like sweet drinks, so he suggested the Moon Child which she loved. Reservations were easy. Highly recommend.

Our server, Leo, was excellent. Our seats were right by the kitchen, so it was noisy and a little warm. Cute restaurant. Loved the bourbon choices. Food was fantastic. Sun was super intense coming in the window, blinding us, but no shades to help reduce the glare. Overall, we enjoyed the place.

Love his place! Fortunately I got a reservation since it got busy. Oysters Rockefeller and fried green tomatoes were a hit. They don’t serve bread anymore…not sure when that changed but was requested by one in our party and not available. Service excellent.

This is an excellent restaurant, though somewhat on the costly side. The food is fresh, innovative, and varied. There are many oyster choices, and not much on the seafood side. I would have liked to see more fish choices, like halibut, cod, or salmon. I recommend this restaurant, especially for lunch, because it wasn’t crowded the day after Easter. Our server was very friendly, helpful, and attentive to our needs. Parking is charged in all parking lots, but the restaurant validates your ticket if you park in the Station Street lot, so that is really helpful!
